Great question, Sandy. Staples sells toilet paper! Schools and offices both use toilet paper in their bathrooms.
This was not the intention of the coupon, and stretching it to include things like toilet paper is far-fetched. From that point of view, everything in CVS would be a school or office supply, simply because everything could be used in a school or office. When people blatantly misuse coupons like that, we all pay for it in the end.
I don’t think Sandy was trying to misuse the coupon at all; that’s why she asked. And Amber didn’t say it would work, she was just sweetly and subtly defending why Sandy might have thought it would work after your less than subtle response… Just my two cents 🙂
If ever in doubt, go to cvs.com and click the SHOP tab. It lists all the different store categories. When you click Household, it brings up another sub-category. Click on School & Office Supplies and it’ll list all the items you can use the coupon towards. paper towels is not on that list, but rather Paper & Plastic. If the coupon was say, off your household purchase, then yes the coupon could be used towards the Angel Soft deal. But this one is for stuff like pens, pencils, binders, etc.

I thought you had to get to 98% of the required amount to get the ecb…2 boxes of Huggies at 19.99 would be 39.98 which is over 98%. So would I have to buy something to officially get me over $40? I have read about the 98% rule but not actually tried it myself, and if Collins did not do it in her scenario, then I wasn’t sure it was legit!
Since this is a $10 for spending $30 or a $15 for spending $40, your total has to be $40 for the $15 or you will only get the $10. At least this is how it was before.

My CVS has the Jolly Rancher Caramel Apple lollipops, they were on the bottom shelf in the seasonal Halloween aisle.
I was able to find them at my bigger CVS which had two large aisles of candy versus my small one with one tiny aisle.

Has anyone actually been able to use the $5 coupon on the Oral B Toothbrush refills? The last time that ECB deal came up, the cashier at my CVS wouldn’t even try to scan it because she said it was for the electric types of toothbrushes.

I think its just a list of items that the 25% will apply to, not that she has multiples.
That is awesome! The 25% off coupon says not for sale or promotional items. Would items that you will earn ECBs on be counted as promotional items? or No?
It has been my experience that the % off -will- apply to ecb deals in the ad where no price is given. Like the Sally Hansen deal, you need to spend $10 to get $3. Since the items are not on sale, the % off will work. And the % off applies as a coupon off your order, not on each individual item, so it does not interfere with the spend amount. (ie if you spend $11 and the % takes off $2.75, you’ll still get the ecb since it tracks pre-coupon). Anything in the ad that has a price, is a BOGO/Free, BOGO/50% off, the % will not apply. Sometimes it works on clearance, sometimes it doesn’t. It all depends on how the item is listed in the system.

I printed the Cetaphil coupon that was listed here in the coupon database and even the one that says it doesn’t exclude bars, when printed, it printed excludes bars. So that scenario doesn’t work for me. The Vichy $5/1 coupons appear to be from a tear pad, so that won’t work for me either. I had my whole shopping list planned and then the coupons weren’t available. Back to square one. 🙁

The $7 Swisse is a CVS Store Coupon. The $10 Swiss is a manuf cpn. you can use 1 store + 1 manuf cpn per item.
The coupons for $2 off Snickers or Milky Way Bites are for the 8 oz, size and the ones at CVS are only 7 oz. Anyone still able to use them?

I used the $10 manufacturer Swisse coupon and the $10 CVS coupon for Swisse together, plus a 25% off coupon. I got $19.79 vitamins – 25% off = $14.84. Then used above 2 coupons. Somehow it applied the $5.15 coupon overage to other items AND I still got the $5 ECB!! I got home and did the math, I triple checked my receipt. What a deal! Free bottle of vitamins, $5.15 towards other items, and $5 ECB! Yay!

Our store had the sleep ones for $19.29 so bought two and use the 2 $10.00 manuf coupon and 2 $10.00 from red machine but had to add a chewing gum cuz it was in minus. So pain $0.00 and got $12.00 ECB. Totally awesome trip. Thanks a lot, Collin. You always save us tons of $$$$$.
I took advantage of the Sparkle paper towel deal today. I was able to find bonus packs that were larger than the normal 8 roll packages. They said it was like getting 2 extra rolls free. Score! I felt bad because there was a lady buying 3 of the normal ones when I entered the store so I guess she didn’t see them. They ended up being on a stocked end cap in the back of the paper goods aisle.

FYI-I bought the Sparkle Paper Towels deal 8-pk. Then I went back in to do my 2nd transaction and on an end cap they had bonus packs with 10 in each pack! Because 3 packs of Paper Towels won’t even fit in my cart I was too embarrassed to go out to my car and bring them back in and exchange them plus it would have been a huge deal for the cashier to get a mgr, etc., but it makes me so mad I could have gotten 6 MORE rolls! Anyway, you might want to see if your store has them before you check out.
Wow! I just got back from CVS and had a great trip! They had snail mailed me a 25% off coupon that I had to use today. My total before coupons was $97.36, I was freaked when I saw that, after coupons, a $10 ECB and the 25% off coupon I paid only $32.67! AND most importantly I only got things I needed. Here are a couple of my deals:
Centrum Women’s vitamins: Orig. $12.49 I had a CVS coupon for $4 off $10 and a $3 off manufacturers coupon and it was only $5.49 out of pocket!
I got 8 Progresso soups for 74 cents each! The store had a HUGE stock so I wasn’t even clearing shelves.
2 M&Ms dark chocolate raspberry stand up backs for $5 with a 50 cents off coupon so $2.25 each instead of $3.99. These are so delicious!

she lists all available coupons that match up to the sale items. So depending on what coupon/s you have to do the deal, is how many bags you’d need to buy to fulfil the coupon requirements. The sale price will ring up whether you buy 1 bag or 5, $2.50 each. Buy 3 = $7.50 use the $2/3 cpn = $5.50/3 bags or $1.83ish each.
But I’d wait to buy the mars brand candy b/c next wk the fun size bags will be $1.88.
