Wow! If you’re planning to buy batteries soon (especially with the holiday season upon us!), here’s an awesome promotion that you’ll want to take note of! Now through 8/14/2014, whenever you buy 2 specially marked packs of Energizer MAX batteries at Walmart, you’ll be able to submit for a FREE $10 Walmart Gift Card. Pair this rebate offer with coupons and you should be able to snag a great deal on batteries…

In fact, check out this *HOT* Walmart scenario:

Buy 2 Energizer MAX Batteries $6.37-$6.97 (price may vary)
Total = as low as $12.74
Use 2 $0.50/1 Energizer coupons found in the 10/27 SS
Pay as low as $11.74
Submit for $10 Walmart gift card by mail
Final cost $1.74 for both packs – just $0.87 each (that’s like paying 11¢ per battery!)!

Even sweeter, there’s a limit of four $10 rewards per person/household/email, so you should really be able to stock up on some inexpensive batteries this holiday season! Awesome!

(Thanks for the heads up on this, Shannon & Kathryn!)

    Nice, thank you

  2. Sonata

I saw these over the weekend. Some packages have $1 off coupons.

  3. Becky

Also we are about to fall back, which is a great time to change batteries in fire alarms.

  4. Joan T

I see there are $1/1 coupons on ebay!!

  5. Brooke

Does anyone know How long it takes to get your walmart gift card?

    • Isabel

I already submitted for mine. It said 6-8 weeks.

      • william

how do you find the site and how do you get the 10.00 gift card. can,t get into site.
        bill

    • kelli

says 6-8 weeks of the FAQ page

  6. Michelle

Thanks, I’ll have to check it out.

  7. Isabel

I used the $1/1 coupon from the 9/22 SS (I think) that expired Saturday so I scored them for half that price. Already submitted for my two rebates. Might go back for more as long as I can get two more rebates.

  8. susan

do you submit the rebate online?

    • Becca

Yup! Very easy form quick too!

      • dianacarter1025@yahoo.com

Becca I am trying to log in online but it keeps saying error. Can you help please

        • Barb Hambrock

I had same problem with error message. I just used the link provided on this page and it took me right to the page you need.

  9. Rach

They have these at Lowe’s though I think you can get cash back instead of a gift card

  10. Lauren

They also have these at ShopRite…on sale this week for 2.88/pack (limit 4 packages). Makes for a quality moneymaker if you buy 4 packages, use coupons, and submit for 2 deals (limit 4 deals per household). If my math is right it’s 2.88 x 4 = 11.52 minus 4 $1/1 Q’s = $7.52 OOP and submit for 2 rebates (either $8 check, $8 in PayPal, or $10 Walmart gift card).

  11. Claudia

I found an ad in the coupon insert: Get up to $8 in Bunny Birthday Bucks, when you buy two specially marked Energizer brand battery bunny birthday offer packages and redeem codes online… Is this the same offer?

    • Jessica

      Claudia,
Where did you see this insert?

      • Claudia

I saw this on the coupons insert, on the side of the battery coupon. Sorry for the late reply..

  12. Claudia

Do we have to buy the batteries at Wal-Mart? TIA

    • Becca

I also saw the bigger packs at lowes today they had 24 in a pack, were 12 something, and had peelies for 10 dollar check or Paypal money when you purchase one pack.

  13. Kelly

I bought them on sale in Shoprite for $2.88 each, used my .50 coupon which was doubled.. so for $4.76 I got a $10 Walmart gift card

  14. Mimi400

Why people keep saying they got a $10 gift card when you’ve spent $$ to get it?

    • LynnNV

It was hard for me to wrap my head around the concept when I first started couponing but you do get your money back … whether it’s in a gift card, PayPal or in check form (depending on where you purchase the batteries). I’ll only submit rebates for items my family uses & in this case batteries is a necessity. Receiving a $10 GC is just a bonus. 🙂

  15. Lori

    Great deal. Thanks

  16. Paula

Do I have to mail it or can I do. It online ?

  17. Paula

How many walmart cards can you get ? With this deal

    • Michelle

      Says limit of 4.

  18. Debbie

I bought 2 pkgs., but only one had the code on it.
Does anyone have a second code I can use?
    Thanks

  19. ashli

The coupons are on the outside of the package So make sure u see one prior to buying them

  20. Rejeana Chizek

I had the same issue as Debbie. It appears some people are taking the codes from the outside of the batteries without actually purchasing them. Both of my packages look exactly the same, except one doesn’t have the code. Double check that your batteries have the codes before you purchase.

    • Paula

People are so shameful taking codes and not purchasing them

      • Becky

I saw the same thing with the Starbucks mugs at Target. I purchased one and it had 5 coupons inside the mug. I saw several with no coupons in the mug, so people had opened the box and taken them out!

  21. Angie

Yea all the packs were missing the codes. They should of put the codes in the package.

    • Becky

I just bought two packages that said the code is INSIDE the package. But I can’t find it. Can someone tell me where it is on the package?

    • kim

when I found out that the codes were on the outside of the box and you didn’t need a receipt to redeem this offer I figured people would just rip them off.

  22. M.

They should require a code from the receipt to redeem

  23. Tracy

Frustrated here too since I didn’t realize the codes were on the outside. Got home and only one pkg had the peelie on it. That’s the only reason I purchased two packages too! Kind of my own fault for not checking, but still….angry at the person who peeled it off.

  24. Sara

Anyone get any gift cards back yet? I redeemed four sets, but just got one gift card in the mail the other day. I know there is still time for the rest to come, but I’m a little nervous since when you redeem things like this at the same time they usually come at the same time.

    • Paula

When did you enter the first one ? It’s been 20 days ago for me

    • Pam

I just received the two gift cards in the mail today that I submitted codes for. I can’t remember how it’s been, but it seems pretty quick.

      • Pam

        how long it’s been

  25. Jean

it will not let me get past the page where it asks you for bday email and zip code? did anyone else have this problem? frustrating!!!

    • tracy

it’s not letting me past the bday, email page either. I submitted for one of these rebates last week and had no problems. Now it appears they may have disabled the site.

  26. Toni

The site is still working I just entered 4 codes.

  27. Crystal Goodwin

I hope everyone has more success with the gift cards then me.
I bought 8 packs of batteries. I entered the codes online and 20 days later I received
all 4 gift Walmart gift cards. I went to Walmart 2 days later and the cards wouldn’t work.
I came home and searched on google until I found a customer service number. There wasn’t anything on the letter that came with the cards. After a long time on the phone, they said the cards had to be activated. Funny the letter just says here your $10 Walmart gift card. They said my cards would work in 2 days. Well, I went back today which has been 3 days and they still won’t work. I think I’ll just return the batteries. I don’t think the cards will ever work.
    Good Luck to everyone else!

    Crystal

    • sam

Same thing happen to me also the gift card is not working .I called the energizer company they transfer me to another department and after a long hold they line got disconnected i am also returning the batteries.

    • jennifer

I thought maybe I was the only one. I got 2 gift cards about 2 weeks ago and just went to use them online and it says they are not valid. Dang! What to do!

  28. rik

Can you please send customer care number for walmart gift card?

    • debra

800-316-8050 8am-8pm ET. I saw this at the bottom of the page when I redeemed my codes. hth

  29. Mayra

thank you debra for the phone number. I’ve been trying to find it. I just called them and they are re-sending me the walmart gift cards.

    • Mayra

I had the same issues at Walmart. I couldn’t use them because they weren’t activated. 🙁 Well, they said in less than 30 days I’ll receive the new gift cards and they should be activated when I receive them. We’ll see how this goes..wish me luck. :

  30. Rosemary Rhodes

I also bought the batteries and went to the site entered birthdate, email and zip code and then my codes and it did not go any further. Never would let me put in my name and address to get the cards

  31. Maria Petrovic

There is a way to add even more savings to this amazing deal. Ebates has a “$10 giftcard if you spend $25” promotion so you can stack up on batteries…and savings! I found about it here: https://goo.gl/RivtbU

  32. Jennifer

I bought 2 packs of twin pack 9V batteries from Walmart ONLY because I saw the promotion sticker for the $10 gift card. Out of 4 batteries I only got use of 1 battery for a month & a half. The others had so little of a charge that they were completely useless & now I have a screaming smoke detector & 2 crying dogs because who would’ve thought to have more than 3 spare batteries?!?! I’ve heard of a lot of problems with batteries from Walmart not lasting but I figured the date was 2018 & with the stickers being a current promotion I should’ve been safe. Boy was I wrong. It was a waste of money even with the gift card. I still lost $4 & wasted a lot of gas since the closest Walmart is 20 miles away & no one wants to have to go out in the freezing cold weather just to get a battery.

I did get my gift card. We purchased a lot of batteries for Christmas so I’ve gotten 2 out of 4. I feel bad for those who we put batteries in their presents though. They are activated. Part of the number is under the silver scratch off, for those of you who don’t realize that. When it asks for your 16 digit card number the last 4 are under the scratch off! It will tell you your card is invalid if you only enter 12 numbers!

As for those complaining they didn’t get numbers on all their packages, first of all, it says “specially marked packages.” If the sticker wasn’t on there then it wasn’t marked, DUH! The sticker is the ONLY marking on the package of the promotion. That’s your own fault. You’re not “entitled” to it just because. Good grief, I am so sick of people blaming everyone & anyone else for their own mistakes, especially when it involves something free. I am very disappointed in my batteries that I did pay for but I will still stand up for a company when it’s all based on ignorance & stupidity. Also, not every shipment had the promotion on them so there will be packages that never had the sticker on them to start with. I don’t think the sticker was a good idea since people can take them off the packages but I think they did it so they didn’t have proof of how old their batteries really are. They probably slapped the stickers on their oldest batteries or the poor QA batches to try to get rid of them. Also, if stores like Walmart don’t sell them immediately they can take the stickers off & there’s very little information as the to exact date they were made, only the “good til” year which is a crock!

Basically this promotion wasn’t worth it one bit. Now I am stuck with 4 dead batteries & some of my money back in gift cards that I can only spend at Walmart.

  33. sarah dorman

If your cards don’t work, its because the scanner was reading the wrong barcode. The cashier has to cover up the black strip on the card. Then the scanner will read the barcode instead.

  34. Jennifer

I wrote a previous comment about this promotion 2 comments up. I wanted to add a few things. Like I said, I recieved 2 out of 4 giftcards. When I went to use them I went through the self checkout. I only use the self check out when possible because it’s a lot faster as long as someone doesn’t go to it with a full shopping cart. That defeats the entire purpose of those check out lanes. It takes 5 times as long to check out a full cart than it would to go through a check out lane and you’re just a selfish prick if you do that because those of us with a few things in our arms aren’t able to use something made for those situations. Also, most of them do say 20 items or less on them! Anyways, I had to select the giftcard payment , slide my card in the slot, and scan the card. It was really really strange. I would’ve never known that if it weren’t for a cashier explaining it to me when I had walked up.

As for Energizer, I’ve had horrible luck with their batteries then to top it off I’m only getting 3 cards, not 4. Since I didn’t need to save the stickers I didn’t put them somewhere safe and have now misplaced them! Yes, I should’ve been more careful but since I had no troubles with the first 2 I assumed I was safe. We all know what happens when you assume. Today I realized that it’s been a long time since I entered in my codes. There’s no status checker on their website so you have to call their outsourced line and speak to someone with a limited educated in the English language. Had there been a status checker I wouldn’t be complaining so much right now because I would’ve known since the start. First thing he asked for after his script is my address. I start saying it, not knowing if he’s actually typing it in or just verifying it because it is attached to my number. I get no ok, uh huh, or anything to let me know that he understood and is in need for the next line of my address so I continue to slowly tell him my address. I tell him that I have only recieved 2 out of 4. He tells me that it’s showing that I will be recieving my 3rd one in 3-5 business days. He says there is no 4th. I asked if he could verify if the codes I have are the ones that are on that entry so I could see if they were so if they weren’t then their system just didn’t properly finish the process. He says that he cannot see it and I’ll have to reenter my codes. I explained that I misplaced the codes but was able to find 2 but they’re showing as used. He then tells me, which is freakin hilarious, that it shows that I have a 3rd giftcard coming and that the codes I was able to find were the ones that were used for that card. I told him “UM NO! Don’t tell me that it SHOWS you that because it doesn’t SHOW you the codes that were used for that entry. Without having the other codes I can’t prove that these were the codes for that entry. Until it SHOWS you the exact codes it doesn’t SHOW you anything and you’re just assuming that these are those codes.” Yes, reasonable deduction would say that these probably are the codes that were used for that entry but anytime you’re working with computers and a company that already has had issues with their promotions there’s always a good chance that an error occured. It’s just such a coincidence that this entry disappeared at the same time I wrote some complaints about their batteries. I emailed the company as well and it took them a while to ever respond back to me. I didn’t bother to read it because I already know what the scripted response is.

In the end I can only blame myself for misplacing those 2 codes. I should’ve held onto them until I recieved my cards. Just a warning for anyone else entering these, HOLD ONTO YOUR CODES IN A SAFE, SECURE PLACE!

  35. Terry

Well at least most of you got something back I sent in 8 codes to get 4 ten dollar Walmart cards and after 5 weeks I get 4 letters stating they want my receipts which naturally i no longer have. I called to complain and their response was Sorry no receipts no rebate. They stated that in the rules at the very bottom it says they may ask for additional proof. Seems to me they are trying to get out of honoring the rebate because of the overwhelming response. I feel so cheated. They should never had done this online if they wanted the receipts. I feel like if they made the mistake of having the codes on the outside of the package on a online rebate it’s their mistake not the consumer who bought and paid for their product in good faith and then gets screwed in the end. Oh by the way they did offer to send me 1 ten dollar coupon to use to buy more of their batteries which i refused. They should be ashame of themselves for not living up to their agreement. I will be back to buying Duracell after I see how they treat their buyers.

    • Dj albright

DJ. I got four letters no gift cards and when I called said no receipt sorry we will not be sending gift card. Energizer this so un fair why do a promotion online and your customer do what you ask and you don’t stand up to deal you offered. This makes me mad that big companies take advantage of their customer like this. Lost my Business

  36. Audrey kappelman

I received a letter that a receipt was needed and that the additional information would have to be received no later than 2 weeks from the date which was Feb 3. I could not meet that deadline because of inclement weather and illness. I did mail the response as soon as I could but will probably be a few days after 2 week deadline. I will not participate in any additional promotions with Energizer.

  37. Normina M

Where i can find the codes,?

  38. edward wellborn

I did mine I have not received my 10 bucks yet no more energizer batteries for me hello duracell
