Halloween is now 2 days past and the Clearance sales are in full swing! Check out the emails I received from Hip2Save readers, Laura and Connie, regarding the Target bargains they found…

“Went to Target this morning expecting to see everything 50% off. I was ecstatic when they had the clearance reduced to 70% off. Stocked up for next year.”
“My Target was reducing Halloween clearance to 70% off this morning. 50% for candy. There was tons and tons of stuff left. Best deals I found, on an end cap in paper products, a huge display of solo cups, paper plates, paper bowls, bounty napkins and Dixie insulated coffee cups. All were ringing up $0.89!”

(Thanks, Laura and Connie!)
I snagged 50% off yesterday on some decor and dollar spot items. I was pretty stoked about the 50 cent socks 😀
That’s a quick jump! My store in S. Fla was only at 30% this morning.
Tia which store? I am in pembroke pines
That’s the one! I’m in Miramar. Candy was at 50% but everything else is only at 30%. The entire Dollar Spot was 30% off as well. I’m thinking they’ll mark everything down tomorrow to get all the people who will come in with the new sale.
Just went to a Target in suburban Chicago and it was at 50% for costumes & décor and 30% for food. Jealous of those of you that have stores at 70% and 50% right now. Looking forward to the next markdown!
Which store, Sandy? I’m a Chicago suburbanite, too! 🙂
Palatine
I was in the one on Palatine.
Hey Collin, Walgreen has all the Halloween clearance 75% off. I got really cute tooth fairy costume for my kid for next year for $7.14 (reg $26.99). When i went candy was still regular price.
ours were all gone today, but i did get some of the paper goods yesterday at a good price.
I found the koolaid “Goulaid” 20ct. for $3.28 (reg. $4.99). Before Halloween was over, it was part of a buy three and get a $5 gift card. I tried my luck and bought three. Lo and behold, it produced a $5 gift card!
3 koolaid Goulaid 20ct. $3.28 ($9.84)
1 $5 gift card earned.
Total: $4.84 equates to .80 per 10ct. box!
Ours was at 70% today but food/candy was only 30%. Got lots of fun decorations and dress up costumes for the kids!
Ours was 50% last night, but 70% this morning. Lots of unmarked things including kids clothes. Halloween clothes rang up 70% off but weren’t marked at all.
Great deal but I’d just end up buying halloween stuff I don’t need just because its on sale so I am going to try to avoid Target..lol.
Ditto!
What state are you guys in where it is 70%??
Iowa.
Walmart was at 75% — cereal, CheezIt, popcorn, big bags of Fun Size m&ms were down to $1.17 and then I paired with a $1 m&ms coupon for 17-cents for the big bags that I’ll use for Christmas goody bags for school. I also got a bunch of paper products like the photo above, and costume pieces for next year. All that being said, it was a complete hassle at the register – what was marked, what wasn’t, cashier (who was a CSM) couldn’t do math, etc. But in the end, it was totally worth it.
JoAnns has some awesome Halloween sales as well if anyone is interested!! I think it was something like 70% off original price, then an extra 30% off that.
Also check the kids and baby clothing department. A lot of pjs tops and socks were on sale not over by the halloween decor but still 70%!
Yesterday my store was 30/50% in Halloween and 50% in the One Spot. For those at 50/70 where is your One Spot at?
I’m in MN. Our dollar spot was 50%.
Where in MN?
St.Paul – White Bear Ave. Was there yesterday n saw 50% off dollar spot. Funsize kit kat near checkout was still priced at 2.49$ :[
I’m in SD. Our clearance is 70% and one spot is 50%. This included Thanksgiving items in the one spot.
Anyone been to Columbus Targets!?
The one in Graceland was 70% off dollar spot, non-food and some costumes. 50% off food and kid costumes. They had a TON left too.
Oops, and I guess I’m assuming you mean Columbus, OHIO and not one of the other Columbus-es. lol
I’m in NY, One Spot was still 50%. The bottom pic above was mine. They had just gone to 70% this morning. I was there at 8:30 am so there was tons left.
Keep your eyes peeled for a 4 cup Pyrex bowl with bats and black lid. It works with the Pyrex Ibotta deal! I found one yesterday for $2.50 (50% off from $4.99). I got it for $1.38 after using my RedCard for 5% savings and $1 back from Ibotta.
I just got that thinking I could do the deal!
So bummed I could not find this 🙁 Stopped at two different Targets – no luck. So happy you and Janel scored one!
Shopko also has items 75% off.
100ct mini cupcake papers reg $3.99, clearance $1.
Soft Lips 2pk (Marshmallow Ghost & Vanilla flavors) reg. $2.99, clearance $0.75
Michaels was 80% off yesterday. I got lots of craft activities and decorations. Lots of their stuff was autumn related like scarecrows and pumpkins so I am able to get some use out of this year 🙂
I was just about to say this very thing! They had some cute stuff left at my michaels in Wichita. Lots of burlap pumpkins that will still work until thanksgiving.
went to columbus ohio polaris target, only 50 🙁
Lennox Target was 50 on candy and 70 on the rest this morning! A good amount of stuff left Id say!
There were plates, cups, napkins, and really nice black flatware on an end cap by the paper towels and plates. Not marked, so still some left!
Ours was 50% off but I went ahead and got napkins and papertowels since I was
Already there and most likely by the time I get back they would be cleared out!
Make sure you price check 🙂 The stuff that was marked 50 was ringing up 70% off today(except dollar spot still 50% off at my store and candy only 30% off) my daughter got a cute police hat for $3 reg. $10, my son a cowboy hat for $3.60 reg. $12. There was also a lot of awesome dollar spot clearance, got a bunch of tmnt stuff for $0.50.
Has anyone been to the northern Virginia Targets? Are they on sale yet? How much?
Still 30% food/candy, 50% decor/costumes at fair lakes as of sat afternoon
St. Louis South County location was 50% off. I asked when it would go to 70% and the woman said it might never go to 70%; um, yea right. Sometimes I feel like they know but don’t want to tell you.
I feel like they always say things like this because they are too lazy to actually check. I really can’t trust what the say when I call them to check, so if I want to find out, I have to go there myself!
Target in Indianapolis had 75% off today. I picked up two Disney Princess costumes & accessories for less than $10, regular retail for the two dresses alone was $70.
Went to Silverthorne, CO Target. Black dot items (Halloween and Thanksgiving) in the dollar spot were 50% off.
All the Halloween items were 70% off and all Halloween food was 50% off. I got several super hero costumes for my boys for $3 each, Hot Wheels 4 pack for $1.49, purple twinkle lights for $1.35, marshmellows and Halloween shaped coated animal crackers for 50% off and I only found one set of plates for 89 cents. I also looked over by the art supplies and found lots of Thanksgiving decor kits for 70% off and several Crayola items for 70% off. I paired these with the Target printable coupon $5 off $19 Crayola purchase. I got sidewalk paint kits for $2.98 (orig. $9.99), My First Crayola colored pencils for $1.04 (orig. $3.49), Color Wonder markers for $1.48 (orig. $4.99) and Color Wonder coloring pad for $1.48 (orig. $4.99). They had A LOT of stuff on three end caps in the art and office area. I’m so excited to use these for birthdays, Christmas and Easter baskets next year!
I’m going to go to 2 different Targets tomorrow and hope that they are 70% off. I want to start a dress up trunk for my younger cousins. They love love love dressing up!! I bought some at 50% off, but I’m hoping to find some even cheaper so I can return the other ones. Does anybody have any ideas of what I can store them in? I really don’t want to pay for an expensive wooden trunk, but I want something big enough for everything to fit in. I plan on giving this to them for Christmas.
Try TJ Max, Marshall’s, or Ross. They usually have large decorative storage boxes that are super sturdy. I’ve even seen princess ones before.
I bought a super cheap wooden tv entertainment unit and put a shower rod where the tv would go to hang the dresses. Then used the cabinet part for all if the accessories. You can find other cute ideas on Pinterest.
My husband built one for our daughter last Christmas. It was super cheap and easy. https://mamapapabubba.com/2013/02/22/dress-up-centre/
Also check Michael’s or Hobby Lobby, they always have great coupons and have cute wood boxes
Thanks for sharing! Adorable!
I bought a wood trunk at Michael’s last year to do this for my daughter. I spray painted it metallic silver and bought the wood letters to put on it that spelled “imagine” she LOVED it.
Thanks for the ideas everyone!
@Heather, that is super cute!
Mine was at 70% and shelves were bare! Never saw it go that quick before :/ shouldnt have waited til afternoon ooops
My Target in the Quad Cities was 70 percent off on costumes and stuff. Candy was still 30
Dollar spot went to 70% today at my target in WI.
70 % off Halloween and one spot. 50% candy. The coffee cups with lids and kids cups with lids in the normal paper spots. Got baking trays too.
Just got back from lemont il location. Forgot to check for paper products but got tons for dress up. Sofia, doc mcstuffins, Snow White… All 70% but all marked 50.
I went this morning (Northern California), and found 50% signs but ringing up 70%. Food and candy at 50% off; majority of candy were candy corn bags. For some reason the regular Reeses p/b cups were with the Halloween items. I knew they wouldn’t ring up clearance (it did rang up as full price). The oreos were $1.49.
The dollar section wasn’t marked but I made to sure to check it out (rang up as 70% off); that section had everything mixed up (I spent a lot of time digging through). There were a lot of dish towels; I priced scanned it but it states “no items found”.
I was looking more for décor and treat bags. I got a pretty apron with “Poison” written on it ($2.99). A pack of well-made, heavy pumpkin carver set for $3. Plastic pumpkins (small) ranging up from 0.60 – 0.90 cents (the 0.90cent one has a carved face that lights up). A wooden “welcome” bat sign for 0.90 cents (dollar section). No luck finding treat bags, only the pricey ones that are more DIY bags.
I went to one of the closest Targets today (about an hour away) and I am SO glad I did! Our store dropped to 70% off most everything Halloween this morning. I was over the moon to find LOTS of dinosaur stuff, books, toys, signs, and Monster High stuff in the bargain bins (all black dot items) for 70% off too! I was able to get a LOT of Christmas presents. 🙂 My son was with me and was such a trooper. He looked away so I could load stuff into the cart for him. 😉 He enjoyed finding ‘awesome stuff’ his cousins would ‘love’ too!
The dinosaur, Monster High, Spiderman and Star Wars stuff we got in the bargain bins were NOT Halloween items. 🙂
I was also able to find 2 Lego Witch sets in the Halloween stuff for $1.49 (reg $4.99 each)
Found lots of items at 70% off in the dollar spot at Target in Salt lake city , UT …hello kitty socks , hairbands, gift wrap, trick or treat pails were all priced 0.30 !!
70% off at Target in Beverly Hills – scored a Snow White, Cinderella and Super girl costume for $9.00 🙂 Candy 50% off, but they also had fruit snacks and all kinds of snacks and 2 aisles full of stuff.
Just came form Target today most items hit 90% except for the candy. I was able to get tons of stuff. Happy shopping : )
90% off at mine today. Pickings slim but still good
