As most of you know, 9/16/12, was the start of the new Walgreens Balance Rewards Program! Even sweeter, on 5/5/13, they started a new point system in which you can redeem your points once you reach just 1,000 points. Please head here to read all about it.

I had a question on the shout, scrubbing bubbles ect deal. Can you use 2 of the coupons in the booklet in one transaction? I tried to use more than one last week and was told I couldn’t. Absolutely!
So the way Walgreens store coupons work, you only need to have the cashier scan the coupon once and it will deduct off each qualifying item in your transaction. So if you buy 4 Scrubbing Bubbles items, the $1/2 Walgreens store coupon will deduct a total of $2 and it ONLY needs to be scanned once.

I thought we could use both a coupon and Register Rewards on the same item like you can do with ExtraBucks at CVS. Is that not correct? I bought the Colgate toothpaste today and wanted to use both the manu Colgate coupon I had as well as a .50 Reward for buying Mars candy but it didn’t work and they said bc you can only use 1 manu coupon and the RR are manu coupon. Register rewards like are manu coupons, you would need an extra filler item if you had wanted to use it.
Walgreens registers have a coupon to product ratio. RRs are treated as manuf cpns and need an item to attach to. So if you have 4 items, 4 manuf cpns and 2 RRs, you’d need 2 filler items so the RRs will be accepted.
Yeah, RR are considered manu coupons and you can only have one manu coupon per item. That’s why people talk about “fillers”. You’d have to buy and cheap candy or something if you wanted to use both.
If you’re only buying one item you can’t use 2 coupons you would need a filler item

If you have one manufacturer coupon that is an amount off of two items, can you also use one register reward. I thought this has worked for me in the past since my item count was two, but the cashier wouldn’t allow it last week. My Walgreens is not coupon friendly.
coupons that are off 2, off 3, etc will attach to the grouping, so you’d need a filler to use a RR, so it’ll have an item to attach. of all 3 drug stores, Walgreens is the worst with their register logic.

In Texas, yes, but I think that’s the only state that gives overage (correct me, anyone, if I’m wrong). I’ve shopped at Walgreens in many different states and only Texas gave overage.
No, they don’t. I bought an item on sale for $4.99 and had a $5 off coupon that they adjusted down to $4.99.
Last year on the recommendation of a Walgreen’s employee, I bought the Nice! brand TP. I love it. It is thick, quilted, and is premium in my opinion. It was B1G1 during the Black Friday sale and I built it into my $10/$35 transactions to make it free. I still have some left and it goes into “my bathroom” so I guess that is a recommendation from me.

If you buy multiple items that give a RR, will you get all the RRs from all the items or just one?
You will get all of them as long as they’re different. If you buy two of an item, you still only get 1 RR, but if you buy 4 different deals, you will get all 4 RRs. Make sure you don’t use an RR to pay if you’re buying that same item—you won’t get an RR then; it has to be paid for with a different company’s RR.

They are very cheap- really not worth the deal. I would stick with the name brands. You can find deals on these quite often at Walgreens.

The $5 RR is applied to the total amount due before tax. As long as you have an item that you haven’t used a coupon on (because the RR has to attach to something since it’s seen as a manufacturers coupon), you’ll be fine with that transaction.

My store was well stocked with the Lindt bars, even the bigger 4.4 oz size ones.
As I grabbed two, there was a man and woman in front of me in line. I must have been in line for about 5 minutes. Apparently, they grabbed 10 bars and had 10 coupons with them. Mild argument took place. The cashier informed them 6 was the limit. They then asked if they could split it up — 6 for the man and 4 for the woman. Cashier said NO. Then they asked, if he purchased 6 and then came back later if he could buy 4 more— the cashier said No.
So, it appears 6 is the limit at my local Wags.
Meanwhile, I picked up my free collage and 2 bars and it took about a minute at the checkout.

I don’t think all Walgreens enforce the limit. I have used a coupon that said I had to purchase one more than what their limit was and they honored it for some reason. i didn’t ask so not sure why or if it works at all walgreens.

The dove deodorant came up cheaper at my walgreens! They were 3.59 and buy one get one 50% so 1.79 for the second and I used a $3/2 coupon and with the 2000 points it made them .38 for 2 not including tax! Sweet deal! Also with the Mach 3 razor you can use the buy one get shave gel free with it to get shave cream for free as well!
