(Thanks, Mister Cheap and Angela!)
does anyone know if $10 is a good price for the regular Scrabble game?
I would wait on scrabble. I got it at target last year for $7
Thanks.
You can price match at Target there’s a 30% off cartwheel that makes it $7
With today’s $3 coupon you can get it for $7 😉
Jeez, each game takes 8 AA batteries…
The 3 flash games anyways…
Don’t forget there’s that great battery deal at Wal-Mart that makes them super cheap. She posted about it last week I believe…
We buy batteries at Dollar Tree for a dollar. They are the Sunbeam batteries. They are really good and cheap!
I’m headed there in a little bit and will report back about the coupon on the scrabble! I’m so excited to stock up my gift closet for my son…he’s into board games heavy right now!!! 😀 YAY!!!
I just updated the post regarding the Scrabble Flash Game. Apparently, it is a registered trademark of Electronic Arts, Inc. and so you cannot use the $3/1 coupon. Sorry for the confusion!
I saw that. It’s still an awesome price for those wanting them. My son isn’t old enough for those, so I passed on the deal. I did get an awesome price on the Angry Birds Jenga pirate ship attack game. Normal price: $29.99, sale price: $19.99. And the $3 off Jenga coupon works for them! So, $16.99!! Awesome!
All those games say at the bottom of them registered trademark of Electronics Art, Inc.
I bought all three this morning. So coupon isn’t valid on them.
Thanks for letting me know. I just updated the post.
At the bottom of the box where it says its a registered trademark of Electronic Arts Inc is referring to the “MORE WAYS TO PLAY!” section of the box. Electronic Arts Inc. are products for game systems (Xbox), phones, computers, etc. So the coupon is excluding those version of the Scrabble Flash. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Has anyone actually tried that scrabble flash deal? If it really rings up free I might make a trip down there today. 🙂
Yes it does i got mine at toys r us today. And there are no coupon issues because the game is not an EA game. The EA versions are for computers, ipads, phones ect… As someone else pointed out as well. So go out and get your free games or use both coupons and get yahtzee flash for $1 🙂
Can we talk about the Groupons. Have any of you had any luck combining them? I could use them separately but combined would score me the $10 gift card.
I tried, but the register wouldn’t take both, I had the $15 groupons.
They let me use my $15 groupon & my $10 groupon together a while back. The register would not accept my 3rd groupon of $10 but I was able to use (2) of them. I was able to snag the Baby Alive better doll which was $34.99 (regular price) & the heartbreaker bow which was $15.99. I got both items for $25.50 total including taxes & prices of groupons. I still have (1) $10 groupon left.
They told me just one $10 one and one $15 one per purchase. I had 2 of each and split my transaction into two transactions and was able to use all of them that way.
I tried that. She said I had to have 65$ to get the 10$ card since the 15$ groupon wouldn’t count toward the $50.
Can I price match these games at Target?
People have posted on another site that they price matched at Walmart and were gonig to do the same at Target, but I haven’t seen anyone say they actually did it at Target yet.
Target will price match, I was just there and price matched something with Amazon.com and they said the customer service rep was nice enough to give me a little lesson on who they price match! She said they price match toysrus.com, bestbuy.com, amazon.com, walmart.com and even their own target.com prices. They didn’t have the game I wanted, so I was a bit bummed but oh well!
Do you know of ToysRUs also pricematch with amazon.com?
There are three new target cartwheel offers for 30% off the game of life, battleship, and scrabble. Price match to target for $10 -30% cartwheel- $3 MQ= $4!
Yay! Just updated the post with this info! Thanks!
I thought that if you PM’d @ Target that you were not allowed to use any Target coupons. I may be wrong–A guest can use coupons when price matching per Target’s normal coupon policy. When the guest presents a coupon(s), these steps will be followed:
Manufacturer coupons: manufacturer coupons will be applied after the price match is made.
Target coupons: Target coupons will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor’s price.
Combining both Target and manufacturer coupons: the Target coupon will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor’s price. Once the price match is made the manufacturer coupon will be applied.
Reminder: we accept one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon for the same item unless either coupon prohibits it. Target does not ad match a competitor’s coupon-required offers
Target cartwheel is an extra “discount”. That is why it is able to be able to be stacked with target store coupons. Yes a store may think otherwise, but to me its not exactly a target coupon.
thats what I was thinking, but is the target cartwheel considered a target coupon? Its confusing, thats why I stay away from price matching.
I think that this may be a “YMMV” type deal if PM’ing @ Target
Nick – where is the $3 MQ Coupon
11/10 SS
I couldn’t find the coupons in my ss. 🙁
Can you price match at Walmart? If so can you show them the ad on your phone if you don’t have the actual ad?
I tried that today but they wanted the actual ad. So I ended up buying the Sunday paper just for the ad cuz my ToyRUs is pretty far.
You do NOT have to have their ad-refer to their price match policy. 😃
I price matched at WalMart today. She said you don’t need the ad to price match food, but non-food items you do have to show an ad. I pulled up the ad on my phone (not the online price, but an actual online-local ad that looks just like the Sunday paper insert). There was some sort of problem with price matching the flash games for $3 (the register beeped or wouldn’t allow it) so she called a manager over and she showed him how it was $3 at ToysRUs and he immediately said “then do it,” and overrode it. No problem!
HTH
Brittany above said you don’t need the ad, which I think is true. I just thought I’d mention it (bringing the ad or the ad on your phone) to avoid any problems and have a quicker check out. 🙂
My family loves to play board games. They had a great deal on them at Target last year so I bought Yahtzee Flash, Simon Flash and Scrabble Flash last year. We didn’t care for any of them. They may still be sitting on a Goodwill shelf somewhere.
I priced match the $3 games at walmart this morning. All of them come with batteries already. So that alone worth $3.
I priced match them at Walmart too.Toys R Us has them originally priced at $29.99 and Walmart has them originally priced at $14.86 lol. Still a great deal.
Shoprunner isn’t working for the Yahtzee or Simon Flash games for some reason. Works for the Scrabble one though.
Just bought Guess Who and the Scooby Doo game $15 shipped to my door! Thanks Collin!
How do you use the coupon online?
If you don’t have a ToysRUs nearby, what’s Walmart’s policy on the ad match? I couldn’t find it on their website. Will they only match local store ads?
Best way to find out what stores they price match is to ask customer service. Each store is different and they change their policies from time to time.
Does Anyone Know If By Putting An Iteam On Layaway If It Holds The Sale PricE Or Will I End Up Paying Its RegularPrice By The Time I Get It There Are Acouple Toys I Want For My Kids But I Wouldn’t Mind Adding A Game Or Two I Just Dont Know If The Price ChangeS Does Anyone Know?
Was the coupon in today’s paper only certain areas?
This would be a great purchase for those that donate to Toys for Tots!
I went and used the coupons from today’s paper. Yay!!!
Hi! My coupon for the $3 off works in williamsville, ny. Got 2 free scrabble flash.. yay!
Thank you Collin SoOoO MUCH! I just bought 2 Scrabble Flash and did not pay a penny for it and got it shipped to my door! Yay! I used Shoprunner 2-day shipping and my old, BabiesRus gift card 🙂 that was an awesome deal! I used ShopatHome too! 🙂
Where are the coupons? I can’t find . Pls reply
they are in today’s smart source
Nancy,
The coupons came in today’s paper. 11/10/13 Smartsource Insert May be regional of course.
I got the paper and the SS insert was included, but mine did not include any of these game coupons like everyone else’s 🙁 bummer
Same here. Ran out to get it and NO game coupons either.
Me too…
There is also a $2 off coupon at coupons.com if you didn’t get one is your paper.
thanks collin, I bought 2 operation, a battleship and a connect four for 12.60 with my groupon plus I got the $10 gift card!
I used shoprunner a couple of games didnt count for free shipping however I was charged double for shipping from toys r us anyone experience this before?
FYI: When I went to my ShopRunner acct, I was greeted with “Have an American Express® Card? Complimentary ShopRunner membership is now a benefit of eligible Cards!” woohoo!
Here in Atlanta, GA the game coupons were not included. 🙁
Does target even carry the scrabble flash game I’ve called 2 and they don’t have it… I can even find it on their website… Please help!!!!
no they do not

Don’t forget to go through ebates 🙂
I got online after this was posted. I got 15 games for $65 shipped to my front door. Thought that was a great deal as both my girls have many bday parties they are invited to and these games are perfect for a nice gift. Thx Collin for posting. Hate the crowds this time of year.
We never get coupons in Alaska. I swear I got maybe 10 in my whole paper, the rest was filled with crappy ads for junk nobody buys anyway.
Shucks! I price-matched those 3 electronic games at Walmart about a month ago when TRU had them for $5. Guess I should have waited. But it is a good idea to get them for the toy donation, unless those that have tried them think they are not worth it even at $3.
There are a LOT of children that would beg to differ on these toys not being worth the $3 bucks. A lot of these kids won’t have any gifts under their tree at all without people like you that have the heart to go and donate these items. These games are priced at $10.00 pretty much everywhere else. I can almost guarantee the kids that receive these won’t be upset.
Whoo got scrabble for $4. PM at target used $3 officially and 30% off cartwheel 🙂
My Target refused to price match the Battleship or Life game.
I didn’t get any coupons in my paper for games. How do you use a code online to get it free? I didn’t know that was possible??
Managed to snag a scrabble flash w/ free shipping for $3.00. There isn’t a ToysRus near me so this deal was well worth it. Going under the tree for my 18 year old. Thanks so much!!
Hey ToysRUs Shoppers, I went to Wendy’s today, and I got a coupon for a $10 GC when you buy $50 at ToysRUs. Use two of these to get to the $100 wish list threshold and eventually get $30 back in addition to any sales going on.
Also, I was at ToysRUs, and ran to Target when Collin posted the 30% cartwheel. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any of the electronic toys in stock at Target. $3 is probably the value of this toy. I got 1 for the gift closet at TRU.
Target match the Life game took the 3 off coupon and the cartwheel no issue! under 4.00!!! Nice!
There is also a $3 off Taboo, Jenga, and Funny or Die on the Hasboro website. I went to print out the Play-doh coupon through the link Colin posted on the Target deal for the snow one set and it took me to those coupons instead. So I was able to snag 5 games (Gator Golf, Taboo, Clue, Scattergories and Simon Flash) for $23 oop (used a $15 group-on and total after came to 16) PLUS a $10 g/c back and FREE holiday baby bottle! Really stoked with my purchases 🙂 Thanks Collin!
I did not receive the gift card was supervisor told me I had to pay 35 after coupons to give it to me
I got a toys r us coupon for $3 off a $3 purchase. I cnt wait to get use it to get a FREE game!!
So which deal is better this or target? I also have my $10 gift card i got last week i could use?!?! So my oop would be $17 but I would get another gift card… Im confused! LOL
