Awesome! I have one of these items on layaway right now and will save $20 on the final price:)

    • Dawn

So if I put the cozy coupe in layaway today to use a coupon and pick it up Friday I can get the sale price?

      • Pam w

Where did you find coupon? If I may ask?

        • Dawn

Coupon came in the mail MGA entertainment flier a month ago for $5 off. Expires today.

    • Vi

I think it may be easier to take the ad or pull it up on your phone at Target- save an extra 5% too! Have them price match Walmart’s ad 🙂 ijs

  2. Amanda

Ok so if I go to walmart friday morning will it already ring up that price? Or do I need to tell them or show them the online black friday ad?

    • Katie

Yes, I would like to know this also? If I go to a Walmart store, will the items advertised ring up the Pre-Sale price on Friday 11/22/13?

  3. Kathy

I’m asking about your email when and if we do this ad match online. Is Christmas supposed to be spelled wrong in the email address???? Could be frustration for many people who try to email and it not work?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Woops! That was an error on my part – I just fixed it. Thanks!

      • Pam w

What r y’all talking about email Christmas password? I’m behind in all the loops. Trying to cAtch back up.

  4. Diana

Is it just matching your walmart.com purchase to ads for instore competitor deals? Or from online competitors? (Amazon.com, target.com). Hope that question makes sense!

    • Michelle Parsons Graves

Christmas Ad Match applies to in-store prices only and excludes Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday ads. * this is from the Wal-Mart website

  5. Leah

Will the leap pad price be matched online or will I have to take the ad to the store?
    Thanks!!! This made my day

    • Joe

If you check gamestop website they have for $39.99 now but only available with store pick up. Check your area to see if you have some near you. I got one yesterday

      • Jennifer

I picked up one at Game Stop today too…good deal.

        • Rebekah

I can’t find it on the Gamestop website. Is it gone or am I just missing it? TIA

      • Jessica

I can’t find it on there either :/

      • Jessica

        I can’t find it either :/

      • Kay

I can’t find it on the Gamestop website.

        • Kelly

I couldn’t at first. You have to type it in as “Leappad2” – no spaces for it to come up.

      • Gaby

I reserved for pickup 30 minutes away, received ready for pickup email. Drove out only to get told they accidently sold it and it was the last one:-( I am so upset, what was the point of reserving it?

        • Amy

Wow Gaby! I sure hope they offered you something for your trouble. They should order you one for that price. I would be upset too.

  6. Casey

Does this ad match policy apply to Black Friday deals? Specifically, Target has a 50” TV on sale for $229 will they match it even if Walmarts price is $428? Also, will they price match over the phone/on-line order or do you have to go into store?
    Thanks in advance!

    • Shea

I would like to know the same thing.

      • Holly

As far as I know they won’t match black friday ads, most stores won’t anymore.

    • debra

      Excludes Black Friday Ads.

    • Rebecca

      “*Editor’s Note:
Christmas Ad Match applies to in-store prices only and excludes Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday ads. ”

  7. kerry

Does anyone know if this is the same leappad that was advertised for them for black friday? I thought that the price was more expensive on the black friday deal. this may be a great deal if so

    • Kristie G.

That’s what I was wondering. Is this a good price for the Leappad?

    • Mommawantsadeal

I think the one in the Black Friday is the Ultra.

      • Amy K

The Ultra LeapPad2 is not in the WalMart BF ad, only the LeapPad2 is.

    • Amy K

The LeapPad2 looks to be the same one WalMart is offering on BF for $54, they are offering it this Friday for $39.99, which is what Toys r Us is offering on BF. So if you want the better price, buy it this Friday!

      • kerry

        Awesome! Thanks Amy.

    • Moms

The one in the Black Friday ad is the Ultra, not the same.

      • Linana

The WM Black Friday ad that I am looking at online says LeapPad 2 (not Ultra) for 54.00. Where are you seeing the Ultra?

        • Angela

Is the Power? They have a Leappad2 that comes with a rechargeable battery pack and it’s more expensive. I just bought the Doc McStuffins bundle on Amazon for $89. Supposedly the rechargeable battery pack is worth $50.

    • Becky

The Black Friday ad lists a higher price for Skylanders and Disney Infinity. Here it is $37 and the BFA is $38.96.

  8. seadams

The TVs will be different… an associate explained to me that each big box store gets “Their” version of that TV. So say it’s a Sony 50″… they’ve match the product number and each big box store will have their own for that item.

This is info I was told by a walmart associate. He also said generally the black Friday TV’s are different from the ones they generally carry (barcode at least) and they will not price adjust.

I had a sharp flatscreen that was bought during a black Friday sale… the TV went out. When we took it to the shop to have it repaired… thinking it was worth it… the shop owner joked “I’m guessing this was a Walmart black Friday TV?” and assured us it’d be cheaper to buy a new TV. :/

    • Tia

Their was a segment on 20/20 (or similar news show) last year about the “black Friday” electronics. They are made just for the sales and can be inferior products. And you’re so right about each store having it’s own TV. They’re all similar but rarely exact.

  9. Leah

I just saw this in the fine print about the ad match: “Christmas Ad Match applies to in-store prices only and excludes Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday ads.”

So it looks like we can’t match any Black Friday ads. 🙁

    • Jeanine

@Leah it says you can’t ad match online. In store you can, even on both deal days…

  10. Lisa

This post reminds me…did anyone actually receive an ecard from the price-error debacle? I’m not confident that Walmart will honor its own word.

    • Susie

I did, about 2 days after they cancelled my order.

    • Jacque Howard

      I did. $10 e-card.

    • Mary

I received the e-card from Walmart when their website was screwed up. I think they will honor that.

    • Moms

I did but would rather have gotten the $29 power wheel 😁

    • Nia

I did and it worked fine when I used last night to purchase something

    • debra

I received mine 2 days later.

    • Eve

No. They said they would send one. Didn’t. I asked where it was and they said I am not getting one because my order wasn’t over 25. After they said they were sending it. I did a claim on bbb.

      • Megan

I got one and my order was $14..

  11. Rebecca

I’m confused by a few things in this statement. Can someone clarify?

“On Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday and any of their shopping trips, customers can take advantage of the everyday ad match policy* available at Walmart stores. If a customer spots a lower price on an advertised item, and comes into a Walmart store during the same day and time that the competitor’s ad is valid, Walmart will match the price at the register.”

    “*Editor’s Note:
Christmas Ad Match applies to in-store prices only and excludes Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday ads. ”

Does this mean that they will match the Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday ads on Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday? Does the note just apply to buying something now and then taking ad in later to get credit for difference?

    • debra

I spoke with the store manager at my local Walmart to clarify this issue. She said they WILL NOT price match Black Friday or Thanksgiving Day ads. So really they should just say those days are excluded from the price match policy. They are confusing people. I found last year I did better shopping online with prices the same as Black Friday and BETTER.

    • Amanda

I’ve spoken to a manager at walmart and they will price match on black friday and thanksgiving if you have the ad and you are there during that specific sale time. They will not let you Ad match though. So say you bought a Leappad a few days before thanksgiving and then bring it back to get a price adjustment on black friday they wont do that.

      • Betty

I think the key is that they will price match Black Friday ads at the same time/date of the other store’s Black Friday sale. I personally do most of my shopping on Cyber Monday from the comfort of my jammies. Sometimes I stumble upon Black Friday deals online on Black Friday.

      • Brandy

I asked at my Walmart and was told the same as Amanda.

    • glo

I find this funny. I know best buy honored black Friday price match last year and I didn’t even have the ad. I called and talked to the manager and he looked it on-line and match the price for me.

  12. nancyjoy

If I go to Walmart now & put the leappad2 on layaway & pay it off on Friday it will ring up 39.99?

    • Brooke

      I have the same question.

    • Katie

      Nancyjoy,
That’s EXACTLY what I want to know! Shoot, if that’s the case, I’ll put it on layaway today and then pay it off on Friday at $39.99. That way I’ll be sure to actually get one before they sell out! Someone please tell us if this is legit!
      Katie

      • nancyjoy

I only asked because the first comment here from Nicole L said that was what she planned on doing & I didn’t know if we could… I always seem to miss the sales & this is the present my daughter has asked for…

      • Andrea

U may want to call your local walmart. My walmart closes the layaway dept on Black Friday

        • debra

But this isn’t Black Friday so I too am hoping I can do the same thing. If all else fails I will pay off the layaway and promptly return to avoid the $10 fee.

    • Jen

      That was my question too!

    • debra

I see my layaway department doesn’t open till 10am so this would not work.

  13. Moms

They will price match Black Friday ads but only on that day and during the “sale time.”

  14. Moms

Putting something on layaway now will not let it ring up on sale Friday. They will have items with a different barcode for that sale and once they are gone they will not price adjust the same item that does not ring up the sale price because they limit the quantity.

    • Jacque Howard

Even for things like the disney infinity set?

      • Jamie

No they do not have different barcodes. Its all the same. You could cancel ur layaway and take it to a register and it will ring up sale price.

  15. jayme

if i put the leappad on layaway and go on friday to pick it up, will it reflect the price i am picking it up at (the sale price) or will it reflect the price i put it on layaway for (the 77 dollar)??? might just go layaway it if i could still get the sale price. 🙂
please let me know, never have done that before. 😉

    • Moms

It will ring up full price if you put it in layaway. They will have only a limited amount on Friday that will ring up the sale price.

      • jayme

ok, thanks. so better get there at 8 am…right? 🙂

        • Jacque Howard

I would honestly call and ask.

  16. Laura

If you say starting at 8 am on Friday – what time zone are we talking about? There are some things l’d like to try to get the price on line – but not sure what time we’re talking about for me.

  17. Nhung

Does anyone know if this is 8am pacific, central, or eastern time?

    • thecents2save

Same question here. What timezone is this?

  18. ashli

“With six fewer days from Thanksgiving to Christmas, the retail environment is more competitive than ever. Every opportunity to get a great deal – whether this weekend, on Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday weekend – matters for our customers. When it comes to price, we’re going to deliver for them.” it also says this?

    • Moms

They will price match on Black Friday but only during the sale times. I have been doing it for years. They will not honor the Christmas ad match that will allow you to buy now then get a gift card for the price difference for Black Friday sale ads. Hope this makes sense.

      • debra

My Walmart store manager said they will not ad match Black Friday ads. She showed me the display card which specifically says Excludes Black Friday.

        • Danielle

They will not Ad match, but they will price match. Ad match and price match are two different policies.

          • Ginger

can you explain the difference between ad match and price match please? I am new at all of this 🙂

            • laura

Ad match means you buy the item now and can get the price adjusted any time between now and Christmas. Walmart is not allowing this on Black Friday. I’m sure this is to avoid customers buying up all the product ahead of time and then getting the price adjusted later which is what a bunch of people on this thread are trying to do with the LeapPad thingy.
Price match is what Walmart does all the time (I use it on groceries a lot). You take in an ad and they adjust your price right then and there for the product you are currently buying. Walmart WILL do this on Black Friday if it is the exact same item and during the same time the item is on sale elsewhere.

  19. Angela

So, if I go in Friday will these items just ring up at the sale price? Or do I need to take an ad with me.

  20. Joy

      • dunkin

thanks for this idea…. 😀 it will be a great christmas present for my daughter and niece…. and finally i can get my ipad back! 😀

  21. Rachel

Kmart is doing a buy one get one little people on Thanksgiving morning. Will that work at Walmart doing ad match? But only on Thanksgiving right? I plan to use my $10 off fisher price coupons!!!!

    • Elizabeth

Walmart will only match if it has the actual price listed Ex: Not 10% off, BOGO, save $10 off regular retail, etc. It has to say the actual price for them to match it.

      • Rachel

Oh bummer!!!! The Kmart as just states BOGO all Little People and lists a price range like 4.99 to 49.99.

  22. Jessica

Have there been any Little Tikes coupons to match with the Cozy Coupe??

    • Anna

yes there was an insert that had $5 off

  23. debra

There was a $10 off Skylanders Swap Force coupon valid thru 11/30 on select Frito Lay Chips bags recently. This will make a sweet deal of $27 in stores Friday!

    • mj

SWEET! Where can I find one!? This is the ONLY thing my boys have asked for this year!

      • Megan

They were inside the Frito Lay multi pack chip bags.. they are actually part of the plastic on the bag that you have to cut out. The front had a little logo that said “savings” or something with Skylanders on it..

      • debra

It was on the Frito Lay Lunch size bags. Check your grocery stores. I found mine at Food Lion but saw them at Walmart and Lowe’s Foods too.

        • Rita

I would love a swap force coupon if anyone has one. My son really wants this. My email is rpita140@gmail.com

      • Lucky

If you want one I think I have one my kids are too little to play for this let me know 🙂

        • Lucky

          My reply was for mj

    • rk

I have been saving my coupon just for a sale like this! Wahoo!

    • Mandi

I would LOVE a coupon for skylanders if anyone has one!

      • Mandi

        email is mreiskecoupons @ hotmail.com

  24. Ann

Ok, i will throw a question in the mix here, If the Rebelle Crossbow will be $11.99, can i go to TRU and price watch it Friday? Since technically its not Black Friday. I have a Groupon left to use and thats on my list of things to buy.

    • Moms

I would call and talk to the manager at your local store

    • Lynn

I would try. Target will also price match Walmart.com prices.

    • Barb G

Just an FYI some stores are letting people price match and use the groupon while others are not. I tried to do it at my local store and they told me I couldn’t do both 🙁 I would call ahead to make sure your store will let you.

  25. Meg

I can’t remember where…but there’s a $5 coupon for the little tikes cozy coupe from one of the sunday papers probably about a month ago. Just fyi if you are wanting to get that.

  26. Kate

Did anyone figure out what time zone the online shopping is? I tried to read through all the comments but icouldn’t find an answer. I even called the 3 walmart stores near me and they had no idea what i was talking about!!

    • Laura

I even sent an email to customer service to get an answer and what they wrote me back just refers to Black Friday and not all prices will be on line. Didn’t help at all – sent a response back to let them know that wasn’t what I was asking. We’ll see if they respond again.

  27. debra

I am even more frustrated after calling my local Walmart manager. She still insist they WILL NOT price match any Black Friday ads even during times listed.

    • Moms

I have never had a problem. Last year they even gave me a $50 gift card with an IPod because that is what Best Buy was offering 🙂

  28. Casey

Bout time they start matching the online price.

    • Jacque Howard

They won’t be matching any online prices, online in-store prices. If you buy something online at walmart.com and it is cheaper in a store then they will match it (excluding blackfriday/thursday)

      • Jacque Howard

        only in-store prices*

  29. Michelle

Does anyone know where I can find the advertised deals for this Friday’s (nov 22nd) pre-Black Friday sales event at Walmart?

    • Christine

      Wondering the same thing…

      • Michelle

        me too

    • Rachel

      It’s posted at couponersunited.com

  30. kimmsu

If you click on the Walmart.com link above it will take you to the Walmart page which states which items will be on sale this Friday.

    • Michelle

It says “examples”. Was wondering what the complete list is.

  31. Janelle

I just got home from my local walmart and the assistant manager in electronics had no clue what I was talking about. She thought I was making it up. Is there anyway to see the ad or an official announcement from walmart.com?

    • Linana

You can read the announcement on WalMart’s Corporate website. From Walmart.com, scroll down to the bottom and click on “corporate”.

  32. Nikki

Can you prove match these items at target?

    • Megan

If the item price is online at Walmart.com you should be able to? I have price matched a few things at Target with Walmart.com and Amazon.com. I just pull up the item on my phone, the guest services person looks at it and types it in the computer.. My Target even lets me use Target coupons on price matches, they always scan just fine too. *I asked before I tried this btw and was told “why not, if it scans its fine” so ymmv

  33. trishapfistera

Can these be purchased online? If so, is it 8am EST

  34. Chris

What if I have already purchased Skylanders at full price? Can I take it to customer service on Friday and have them adjust the price? Is that a dumb question?

    • debra

I don’t think this will apply to previous purchases. However, you may be able to get another one and return the one you have.

  35. sonya

Holy smokes. I’m so confused. I think we are all confusing this a little. So, if I’m clear, this sale that starts on Nov 22nd isn’t considered part of the “black Friday/thanksgiving day” sale. So, since they are offering the add match policy I could technically go buy the skylanders starter pack online now for full price then take my receipt in on Nov 22nd and get a gift card for the difference?

    • Nia

That’s exactly what I think too! I need clarification. I’m going to go put Disney infinity on layaway tomorrow or buy and go Friday for adjustment. Can anyone clarify????

      • Sonya

Just got a reply from Walmart. Says they do not price match their own ad so guess we have to wait until Friday to snag these deals. Bummer lol

  36. Crystal M.

I also am interested in the leap pad 2 so I called my local target and asked if they will price match and they said yes as long as I have a paper ad or they can look it up on walmart.com because it’s technically not a black friday sale!! So I will by pass the hassle and go straight to target with my red card and save an extra 5% off plus use my gift card from a past return!! Super excited about this deal is anyone doing the same ? And if so I guess on friday the 22nd the price of the leap pad 2 at walmart.com will be showing $39.99 ? Does anyone know ?If so please reply cause I dont know how I’m gonna match with no evidence of this price please help!

    • Brigitte

Crystal if you click the link above for Pre-Black Friday Savings Event it takes you to the Walmart Corp site. If you scroll down a little bit it shows some examples of items on sale and the first one is the leappad2 for $39.99. I would think you could use that to price match.

      • Crystal M.

Thanks Brigitte!! I will do that!!

  37. Melissa S.

For those curious about placing your item on layaway today and then cancelling it on Friday…I just got off the phone with my local WalMart and was told that if you cancel layaway, there is a $10 fee. Also, depending on your store, they may or may not bring the item up to the front for restocking. So, it’s not guarenteed the item will be given back to you. Doesn’t neccessarily seem worth the touble.

    • debra

Layaway doesn’t open until 10am. You can delete items from layaway so as long as you still have 1 item left you would not get the charge. I am planning an early am trip to be in store with item in hand to check out at 8.

  38. Beth

Mercy me! Just got off the phone with corporate and my local Walmart. Neither had a clue about anything….Corporate said not to quote her – she wasn’t sure what time zone that the online started. Local store said that they didn’t know what procedure they were using – whether it would just be run to the aisle and grab or the items would be in a certain section of the store. I was told to call back tomorrow evening. What a disaster this could be! I’m not sure whether to chance it online or go to the store…Anyone else have any suggestions or know anything else?

    • Sonya

Yes! Price match at target! lol
Of course if I keep telling people that target will be a madhouse as well 🙂

      • Brandy

I called my target they said they would not price match the sale.

  39. april luffe

I’m am so excited about this. I just hope everything stays in stock long enough for me to buy it. Just about everything on my kids lists are on discount on this sale. No need for me to go into the store lol.

Looks like most of these items have to be bought in store. 🙁 my store dosent carry the crossbow. I’ll go up there today and see what I can get. I don’t like shopping big store sales at Walmart. Hope it’s not like Black Friday there.

I just found the complete list at couponersunited.com.

Where did you hear that it was only in-store??

I know someone already mentioned this, but DO check GameStop, if you have one near by. I scored the LeapPad 2 for $39.99 yesterday PLUS their games were $4.99 each. The sales associate had to get the games out of the backroom, so you might ask if they have any.

The prices are definitely already ringing up in store. Got all of my board games and my nerf rebel cross bows! Super excited 😀

I got the cozy coupe for $34.99 at Walmart today. It rang up the correct price. Thanks!
