Black Friday weekend they had the same deal AND four free bottles of syrup. I wonder if the same deal applies?

  2. jan

Those exchange carbonater’s are very expensive and I don’t believe this is ever going to be a money saving appliance. better check where it’s possible to get the carbonaters and check prices…you’ll be shocked. Hope this helps

The carbonator replacements are very pricey. I don’t see this appliance as a money-saver rather an appliance for the cellar once the first carbonator is used up.

$15 for 60 liters is not expensive considering a 1 liter cost anywhere from $1.00-$1.25 so on the low end it would cost you $60. If you go with a sale on 2 liters at 0.88-$1.00 it’s still cheaper to buy the carbonator for $15.

      • Blair

        @Erin The carbonator isn’t always $15 though:/

I agree,I don’t get the point of this machine either. I mean great deal if someone actually wants it,but I don’t get the overall value of this product. Just buy soda at the store for much cheaper. I’m sure the syrups they make you put in the water have pretty much the same preservatives and stuff.

      • Leah

We don’t drink soda, but do drink tons of soda water with a splash of juice. MUCH cheaper than the pricey brands at the natural food store (see my previous comment about $10 water fills) and worth my sanity to have soda water at my fingertips without having to go to the store. Besides that, some people are worried about the plastic bottles (60 plastic bottles versus one refill is significant)…we don’t have a recycling program, and this creates much less waste. Granted, you’re entitled to your opinion, but I LOVE mine.

exactly I’ll put it right next to my bread maker, cakepop maker and george foreman grill in the basement.

      • Em

Aww, it makes me sad you don’t use your bread maker. So many awesome things can be made with it!!! Pretzels, the most amazing biscuits, a good honey wheat loaf, etc!

    • Em

We’re vegan and near raw. Putting a bit of orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice etc is awesome. It’s like a soda but soooo much better for you. A wonderful treat! The health savings alone are worth it. I bought one for work and my coworkers hardly ever drink soda at work anymore because of it. Score!

    • Leah

We get ours at BB&B…only $15 & I save all the $5/15 coupons for it, so $10 for 60 bottles & a saved trip to the store is def a deal to me!

  4. Misty

I LOVE my soda stream. They have natural syrups and if you drink every drinks a lot it is a major money saver. I also like flavored carbonated water so for me this is a great deal:)

    • Misty

      Energy drinks..
Also bed bath and beyond has refills and you can use your 20% off coupons in mail. Around 12$ is pretty good to me!

  5. Zos

I got it while back, paid 44-25 (Mir) so that was great price. For me it’s just ok, so was happy that I paid only so little.

I am looking into this product. My neighbor found an carbonator adapter on eBay and is able to then have his carbonator refilled for under 2.50 at any local sporting goods store. This is a bargain by that standard!

  7. Jennifer

I am not sure if this rebate applies, but there is a $25 rebate available at https://www.sodastreamusa.com/assets/SodaStream_25Rebate_36624.pdf

Limit four rebates per name, address or organization.
•valid for purchases made on SodaStream.com and from retail outlets
    • Offer not valid with any other rebate, discount code or coupon.
    • Please allow 6-8 weeks for rebate processing.

    • Megan

I just ordered one through Amazon on Saturday thinking I could maybe use that rebate. The packaging that comes from Amazon is different. It does not come in an actual soda stream box, therefore there no UPC which is required for the rebate. 🙁

      • Jennifer

That’s too bad. I looked at sodastreamusa.com and they have half-off of their outlet items right now. It makes each machine $65. I am not sure you can still apply the rebate because it states not valid with discount code. Bummer…

        • Kristin

If you choose the standard packaging and not the frustration free packaging then it contains a normal UPC code 🙂

  8. Ashley

I clicked on the details about the gift card it says offer expires December 3. Do you know if this is still good?

  9. Caity Tarbert

    back up to $79 🙁

  10. Des

I got a machine from a HouseParty party, and if you’re on the fence about it, I say go for it! I have IBS and can’t have too much carbonation, so I find it awesome that I can control that as well as how much flavoring. If you have health issues like I do, it’s fantastic that I can enjoy soda again.

  11. Oanh

I bought this the other night for $79. Saw this post and was excited to get an adjustment on the price difference. However, I was in class and couldn’t do it right away and now the price is back up to $79. Does anyone know if Amazon will still give me a credit since the price did come down from what I bought it for?

    • Oanh

I contacted Amazon and wasn’t able to get the adjustment since the price was back to what I paid for it when I was able to contact them. It didn’t matter that it had gone down since I had bought it. 🙁

  12. Sue White

Wow, read the 1 and 2 star reviews and it will change your mind. The machines are known to blow up and you can’t return this to Amazon because of the carbonator. The 60 ltr bottle is only if you use 1 pump but yet it says for best results use 3 pumps. So you are only going to get 20 liters for that price. No longer on my Christmas list.

  13. Danielle

I love my soda stream!!! Quick and easy carbonated water. Add some lime juice and it is delicious! Plus you can adjust carbonation.

  14. Danielle

Sue…I’m assuming if someone has problems with it blowing up they are carbonating the bottle way too much or they don’t have the bottle in correctly, I’ve had mine since they first came out. Works great!

  15. Zos

Whoever will send mail in rebate: first they sent me card that I wasn’t eligible bcs my purchase was past the promo date. Sent them dispute email and then after they replied, sent them order confirmation and they honor it. So, you may want to be aware of it.
