Hi guys have a question about the egiftcode…wondering if Macy’s store still accept those code???last time I I tried to used it online they cancelled my order..called the customer service he told me that all the code is not gonna work no more because Macy’s stop accepting those codes??is it true??
I used one during BF, but I turned it into a scannable barcode.
How? I’d love to know. I’ve been putting it off because I’d hate to go spend time picking something out and then they not take my (one) text for $10.
I went to barcodesinc.com, typed in the gift card # sans the pin. Copied and pasted the image into word, and typed the barcode & pin underneath. Like barcode:##### pin: #### then printed it out.
The cashier even let me use my two, so that was cool.
I’m sure it is… IG was full of pics where people used hundreds of those to pay in full for items….sad
Cosmetics, household items, clothes shoes handbags..
I really dont blame them cancelling all of those codes. I see people post pics of hundreds of dollars worth of MAC cosmetic bragging about it being free. Very Sad and pitiful. Sucks for everyone else who just wanted $10…
Pretty sure they canceled like 90% of them. Not sure how they chose the ones to cancel, but mine and my husbands stayed active. I guess cause we only did 1 per phone.
I didn’t even realize that people abused the offer and got multiple codes or that some got cancelled. It did take a while for the cashier to get the system to accept it but I don’t what the issue was. They didn’t give me a hard time though. People don’t realize that they jeopardize future offers when they pull stunts like that.
I think I read on the rules that it was good until Dec. 17th. I used mine last week. I handed them my phone and they typed in the number and pin without any issues.
What was the egiftcode for and how were people able to abuse it? Was it the $10 egifts from the instant win game?
Happened to me when I tried using it a few wks ago. Cashier said it was a fraud gc! I pulled up the Macys star app abd showed her how I got the offer. She said she was sorry but Macys corp told them to no longer accept smart phone gc offers with a “6”. I called cs when I got home and was told they did pull the offer bc of multiple gcs being sent to one cell phone #. After searching around Ifound there was a glitch so people were using fake emails to get more than 1 gc sent to their phone. Then going out and spending 100’s of gc’s at once until a cashier called corp after several ladies shopping together bought over $2000 in merchandise! !!! All I wanted to do was buy my son a pair of pajamas!

Can I use this coupon on shoes?
Last time they offer this coupon, I went out of my way to get to the mall. Lots of exclusions. And the worst part is, even the sales associates doesn’t know what’s going on. 3 hours later I left empty handed. I tend to have better score when JC penny offers such coupon.
The same thing happened to me the last 2 times they had the 10/25 coupon. I purchased different brands items on the 2 occasions & the coupon wouldn’t work. The items I bought weren’t listed under exclusions, so I don’t know why the coupon didn’t work. Macys should change the wording on the coupon, because it definitely cannot be used on ALL sales & clearance items.

No, not at all. I guess that site somehow turns it into a “real” gift card. All they had to do was type in the pin.

Does it have questions about our products or something at the top? It’s that site, but you just type the barcode (no pin or it won’t work) in the box, and it’ll generate the barcode. HTH.

I was there yesterday and there were lots of stuff available to use for the coupon but I really only go for the clearance anyway. I got my baby a Nike track suit and two play wear sets for 19.00

Hi Amy,
Once you put the barcode number in the box, it’ll generate the scannable barcode, and you can copy the image it produces onto word.
Paste that image into word, and then type the barcode:### pin: ## so the cashier knows the pin to type in. It’ll ask them for the pin once they scan the bar code.
Print the image of the barcode with the numbers written underneath, and it will scan fine at the register. Just remember to not add the pin when you type in the barcode.

If you get the coupon pull up from your phone you just show it to the sales associate. They will enter the coupon manually. Its so simple and easy. Don’t have to bother printing it out.
After going to Macy’s on Black Friday I can’t find a lot of good deals in the men’s dept. What I mention before will save a lot of time and if you can’t find anything or can’t meet to the $25 or $50 purchase just go and don’t purchase anything.

I’m working both today (Friday) and Saturday until at least 1pm. How come I am excluded when I am the one wanting to “possibly use” my paycheck from working????
