Happy Friday: A Beautiful Symbol with So Much Meaning…
Sent from reader, Amy:
Hi Collin! I wanted to share this photo with you. Over the summer my husband was hit by a drunk driver. He broke is leg and all of his toes. We lost our car and our only source of income because he was not able to work for 4 months. As you can imagine, we were stressed! He is back to work and things are slowly getting back to normal. Today as I was walking down my driveway, I saw this! I feel like it was a symbol for me to relax, slow down and stop worrying. A symbol that everything was going to work out just fine. I thought it was beautiful!
HAPPY FRIDAY!

All of you have made my day… I had lost hope in humanity.. working all day for a government line and hearing a bunch of ungrateful and greedy people complain all day because the toys they got from charity was not enough or why did she get the bikes and i didn’t…just makes me depressed… rarely do I get a person who truly needs it.. don’t get me wrong, I love my job because I get to work with agencies that helps the community. .. but when you get 200 to 300 callers a day complaining that anything is not enough makes you think what happened to us. Then I log in to hip2save and makes me sooooo happy to see people like yall… I wish everyone a merry Christmas and remember GOD knows us and our limits
I just try to remember when im’ feeling this way that regardless of how the adults behave, the children will still benefit from help
Good perspective..thanks!
I am not sure I could do your job but there are many, many grateful people in this world thank goodness. Sometimes the voices of the greedy, unhappy, ungrateful are louder than those who are truly appreciative in life.
Thank you it’s refreshing to have a ‘good’ perspective on things <3
There is always beauty in the world for those who have the eyes to see it. I’m glad you eyes are open to the possibilities that are opening up to you. What a beautiful symbol of the love that will always get you through the tough times. God Bless!
This is why I ADORE Hip2Save. I haven’t read all the comments because I can no longer see the screen through my tears. The community here is AMAZING! Helping a family that is struggling this Christmas. Offering prayers and thoughts to others in rough situations (cancer, etc). I will keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers. May you all have a wonderful Christmas spent with those you love, no matter how little or how much you have.
I only hope to be half as inspiring as some of you have been on here tonight. I pray that all of you never lose that!
I completely agree with you! I’m at work and just logged on for what I thought was a quick check……….I am now bawling!!!!
Thanks for this picture of encouragement and bless your heart! Hang in there! I know you have the strength to do it– you have shown so by reaching out and sharing this positivity.
What am awesome picture! And my oh my there are some tear jerker comments in this post. May god bless all of you and your families. Don’t worry about gifts and just cherish your time with family and friends.
Wow! Amy this was just what I needed today. Our home was damaged in the Moore tornado and we were supposed to be back in by Christmas but I found out today that will probably not happen. When I saw this post I felt as if God was speaking to me. We have 2 kids and just wanted to be home for Christmas but now I realize that we can still make the most of Christmas even if we are in an apartment. May be small but less wrapping for me. Haha.
This post and all the comments are the greatest Christmas gift ever. So incredibly and powerfully inspirational! Thanks, Collin, Amy, and each of you Hipsters, for sharing your hearts and lifting up mine. Counting blessings…
<3 it!
It is so touching:)
Just wanted to say thank you to those beautiful angels for helping our family I saw the image that Amy sent and commented not ever thinking that without knowing me someone is willing to help my kids have a wonderful Christmas… I know God worked his way. I am so grateful, I can never thank them enough for this… God blessed them and their families and I forever be grateful to Collin for this post, Wendy, Amy, and Mikey
Wow. Incredible picture, and while I don’t believe in “signs,” this is definitely God speaking to you. Prayers for you and for all the folks who’ve come on hard times. We were on food stamps and lost our home in 2009. Got through it. The song “If You’re Going Through Hell” comes to mind, by Rodney Atkins.
Beautiful!
Beautiful sign you received!!! Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas and many blessings to you and your family in the New Year.
What a beautiful story to share! Thank you for the reminder that when times get rough there signs…..I believe God, the universe or whatever you choose to call it puts these signs out there to remind us! I am praying for you and your family. I am also praying for the other people above who wrote about their illnesses and struggles.
I think that Heavenly Father does send us messages that speak to us individually!!
I always feel that he is close by when something like this happens. It is truly a tender
mercy.
WOW!
how beautiful! God bless your family!
How beautiful, reminds you that things really aren’t always as bad as they seem. <3
