Yum! Ebelskivers are delicious!
If you’re wondering what they are exactly, they’re a Danish pancake. They’re lighter and fluffier than a donut, but heavier than a pancake. They are absolutely delicious. The traditional way to making them is to put applesauce or an apple slice in the center before cooking, hense the name Aebleskiver, or apple slices in English. You won’t be sorry! And if you need a recipe, there’s one on allrecipes.com!
Stephanie thanks for the explanation! Those sound delicious. I don’t have the money to jump on this deal but will definitely keep my eye on this item. My house loves german apple pancakes so I imagine they’d love these too
You’re welcome! ๐
I love my aebleskiver pan. It makes the yumiest little snacks or breakfast items. I also make them with savory fillings. Great for apps during the holiday season.
Did a quick search and there’s an even better deal…nordic ware pan and the great breakfast book set for $12.37
found that too. thanks!
love aebleskivers! I’m a dane so this is a huge find for me!
Keep an eye out for these at thrift stores! I bought mine from Salvation Army for $2.99 used. I don’t think most people know what it is so they don’t give it a second look.
Thanks Kristine, I have seen these at Goodwill plus I’d rather have a cast iron which I see often.
I agree that cast iron pans are better than these ones. I use cast iron pans for indian pancake that we make in these kida pans.
