(Thanks, Clip and Follow & Freebies for a Cause!)
I wonder if this would play on a kindle?
nope 🙁
To play on a phone or tablet, you just have to have the Google Play app.
Awesome! 🙂
Awesome! we are flying to Phoenix tomorrow and I was looking for a couple of movies to download to my daughter’s tablet. She will be thrilled! 🙂
Love this movie! Makes me laugh all year through!
Great! I haven’t seen this movie yet. I just downloaded it. Something for the kids to watch during Christmas vacation.
Is this download to keep or just for viewing once?
Is google play free? No monthly subscription?
Google Play is like Android’s app store.
Still don’t understand why they haven’t made it so a kindle fire can use Google play 🙁
Amazon sells Kindle’s for break even or a loss, they need you to purchase content through them to make their profit.
Awesome! The Nabi just got an update w/ Google Play, so maybe I can download this for my daughter!
Requiring a credit card still….
It required you to submit a credit card in order to set up an account and verify that you are in fact a real person. For free downloads you will not be charged, and before something is purchased you will be asked to verify that you want to purchase whatever that may be.
so do I just add it to my library and it will always be there?
I’m new to hip to save. Trying to download the free Version of Elf . But for some reason they’re asking for my credit card. Do I give them my credit card information? And if not, do a need to promo code? Thank you for your help!!
Like all other online app+movie+music stores that I am familiar with (Amazon, iTunes), they do require you to have a credit/debit card on file – even for free stuff. I have never been charged for a free item, but if you are worried about them having access to your information I’d suggest using a prepaid debit card (even one with a zero balance will work!) to limit your liability.
And no, you don’t need a promo code.
You can try to download androids apps on the kindle. Bit its a hit and miss. I will paste a link to a blog dedicatrd to kindle. Stay tuned.
What is an android device? Will it work on my iPad?
It will work on an iPad or iPhone if you open the YouTube app and log in using your google ID. It showed up under my purchases and I’m watching it as I smile. I love smiling, smilings my favorite!
Thanks for this!
LOL I love Buddy!
Thanks!
Thanks for the advice!
Could I watch the movie on my computer? Also does google play work with iphones?
I was able to use a VISA gift card instead of my credit card and it went through!
YES! Thanks, Collin!! I was just about to buy this at Walmart.
Don’t want to use ccard. Is there a promo code for this?
Awesome! I’ve been looking for this OnDemand, but they’re charging for it.
This deal is a great example of the amazing finds on hip2save.com. The past few months I have been absolutely obsessed with finding deals. For those of you who are new to this site, it is the best deal site I have found in all of my research. By checking this site incessantly, I have gotten several free meals at restaurants like Panda Express, Firehouse Subs, and Sub Zero frozen yogurt. I got a $10 gift card to H and M and several coupons for free bags of mini snickers. I could go on and on, but only to show how AWESOME this site is. I don’t love giving away personal information, which you often do not need to do on several deals for this site. I would recommend signing up for the birthday clubs on the birthday freebie’s list. Also, if you are looking for a deal on a shutterfly book or card, go over to retailmenot.com and a huge list of promo codes will show up. Good luck coupon clippers!
It asks for your credit card because it is through the google playstore- google’s version of apple itunes store….You won’t get charged for it, but it will create a “receipt” for you that shows $0.00 was paid. It stays in your library and you can watch it on any device that you can get to the google playstore on (via app). Also, you can view it from online directly in the playstore.
Thanks! 🙂
Any one have LL bean card they won’t be using I’d love it, can trade a free shutterfly calender for it. Thanks. tranch51 at gmail dot com
Thank you. Merry Christmas!
I bought the $9.99 Kyocera Hydro no contract phone from Target this week and I’m able to use it’s Play Store app via WiFi to take advantage of this movie freebie. Thanks
I wanted to download this on my daughter’s tablet that we are giving her for Christmas, but the only option for a mobile device is the one you have to buy for $4.99. I thought you could choose the free one for devices if you wanted. 🙁
3gmom, that doesn’t seem right. We purchased a tablet for my husband (for Christmas), I powered it up, logged onto our WIFI (one less step he’ll have to do) and downloaded immediately.
Felicia, thank you so much for your comment! I went back and tried again and this time I completed the action using Chrome instead of the playstore and it worked! Thank you for inspiring me to try again. 🙂 Merry Christmas!
Is this to buy to keep? Or just to rent?
I was charged a dollar for downloading this, why is this?
