Was at BRU last night and you didn’t need a coupon for this sale. Signs were up. Was able to get a big box of diapers on clearance plus the 20% off–great deal. There was clearance stuff throughout the store.
Ooh what diapers are they? How much did they cost?
We didn’t have any luck with toys. But I did get a leg lamp for $20, Godiva mug gift sets for &2.50, $1.89 Barbie Hallmark ornament, and 90% wrapping paper.
A leg lamp? that’s awesome! the first image that comes to mind is the lamp from the Christmas Story 🙂
Yeah, they run this every year about 2 weeks after Christmas. No coupon needed. Just be aware that they like to mix a lot of Christmas things in with their Christmas clearance that are not marked down. Christmas CDs, certain ornaments and gift sets, etc. When I asked they told me that they don’t mark some things down because they get full credit from the distributor for them. Be sure to price check everything before buying.
Heads up – at my local toys r us this evening, holiday wrapping paper was 90% off making the single rolls only 40 cents and the triple rolls were 60 cents. There were still tons left and many didn’t look very Christmasy so they could be used throughout the year for kids birthday gifts (skylanders, monsters university, princess, & many more). I really stocked up!
What kinds of toys are on clearance? Any Lego Duplos? I have a one year old I’m shopping for!
How big was the leg lamp you got for $20?
I bought a pretty cool voice-changing microphone for 3.98 (normally 19.99- on clearance for 4.98 + 20% off) with free store pickup. Both my daughters (3 yrs and 7) love it!

my local toys r us had nothing!! i went through the entire store like twice, since i had a $3 bday coupon to use as well. i think ill stick with target/walmart/kohls/amazon for my toy shopping needs lol.

I went in to my local BRU (Chicago suburbs) and I was lucky enough to find a Lamaze stroller which had a regular retail cost of 199.99 marked down on clearance to 23.19 with the extra 20% automatically applied at the register!
Which chicago burbs? The only BRU nearby is naperville
There are several BRU’s in the Chicago suburbs…there is one in Schaumburg, Crystal Lake, Algonquin..if you go yo their website you should be able to locate more stores in your area. I found my stroller at the BRU in Algonquin..HTH 🙂
i thought the ad says toy clearance only. How did you get the 20% off stroller?
The clearance tag on the stroller was $28.xx but there were signs posted throughout the store saying extra 20% off clearance prices..I did not have a coupon, when I checked out the 20% came off automatically.HTH
