I got an email today stating that I had 4000 surprise points added to my account, good today thru 1/15 on qualifying purchases. I can’t figure out how to determine “qualifying purchases” though. I’ve never used points before either; does it come off your total after they scan your card or do you have to tell the cashier to use the points? Help!?

    • mel

you have to tell the cashier. They do something on the screen and you verify your account on the keypad for the points to apply.

You can tell the cashier you want to redeem, just make sure you spend at least that amount that they give you. I didn’t now this before, they have me 3000 points and I bought something for 2.98, redeemed points. Turned out they took my regular points off not the extra ones. Had to return it.

Be careful about spending points…. sometimes when you spend points you do not earn points when you are expecting to. I think in this case you would still earn them but I am not certain.

If you did the $10 offer at Walmart, can you also do the $8 offer too?

    • LoveSaving

Yes you can JA. I called energizer and verified. I did four of each offer.

      • JA

        Awesome! Thanks!

      • K

How did you do that? I was under the impression you needed to buy specially marked packages with codes inside for both offers.

        • LoveSaving

You will need to do that K, but the promotion offers are different at Walmart and Kmart. That us how you can do both.

Does anyone else have horrible experiences trying to use your points? I had 6000 bonus points which I applied to in order that’s a coupon for earning $15 worth of points for spending $15, and neither actually applied to my order and I was charged the entire order price instead of the six dollars off for the 6000 points. Don’t think I’ll ever shop with them again.

    • Bekah

      Holy type-o’s! Woops 😉

If you buy 4 of these at a time, your total will be over $25.00 and your coupons will double. You will get back $8 worth of points and earn $16 bunny bucks, but only pay $20 out of pocket. It would be a MONEY MAKER!

    • LoveSaving

Emily, you are correct. I bought all eight in one transaction, because I had a coupon loaded to my card to earn 10000 points when you buy $50. My first five coupons did double. You might want to see if you have this coupon available. I use the SYWR app and load the coupons to my card.

This is cool but too advanced. The cashiers at my local Kmart and Walmart would give me such a hard time.

I’ve been spending my SYWR points on Lands End instead (co-owns Kmart, Sears) which has fabulous customer service.

Hahaha, I agree with you. I did it but the scanner didnt work (as usual) so the cashier entered the coupons manually, they beeped and they didnt double. Manager said its because it says “one per purchase” and made me do 4 different transactions… what a pain, still a good deal and I was needing batteries, thats the only reason I didnt walk away. Oh! and I had one energizer printable and after examining it as if it was a piece of very important murder evidence the manager said it has expired because some tiny numbers in the code said 122113…so she said that meant 12/21/13. I sad: yes, thats the date the coupon was released but she wouldnt even listen…:(
