I received this email today- maybe others did too?! I ordered 3 tubes of Pepsodent toothpaste for 20 cents (tax) and picked up at my local kmart- but can be used on anything (I’m sure there’s some great Christmas clearance out there!).
I just got an email that I received 6,000 surprise SYWR points!
Yesterday I got an email from Shop Your Ways with the subject of “$10 in points just for you. You earned it.” Inside was an offer for $10 off of a $20 purchase (at any Shop Your Way store). I almost spent it last night. Now I’m glad that I didn’t. As today I got another email with the subject of “you have surprise points. See how many inside!” inside was 5,000 points ($5) which I could use at Sears. From the ways that I have read the fine-print on both, it looks like I can spend $20 at Sears and only pay $5. That seems like a pretty hip deal.
I received an email this morning from Shop Your Way rewards telling me I have $5 in surprise points. So, I went to the website and found a 3 pack of winter gloves for children for only $4.99 and added it to my cart. I redeemed my points, got free shipping and didn’t even need to pay tax!
Got an email that had $5 worth of surprise points with no restrictions towards what I can use them for. People should check for an email.
I received an email from Sears titled “Mark, you have surprise points. See how many inside!” When I opened it there was $6 waiting. Also, when you log onto Sears or Kmart it says “Member Alert! – Check your points before they expire.” I got a free scarf.

Ya know, ever since I made a large purchase from Sears, I don’t get the bonus points w/o having to make a purchase…hmm! I did better before my Sears purchase!
I got 7000 a couple weeks ago but didnt use the within the promotion period.
my husband got one for 5000 points and mine was for 3000 points. my husband always gets more points than me. what’s up with that. i’ll just use both. lol.

I got lucky! Yesterday I got a 15 off of 15 dollar purchase from Kmart. It was spend 15 and get back 15 in points so I got 2 cereal keepers and a candle and had 4 additional in surprise points and spent 12.74 oop and got back 15.12 in points, went to use my points today on some baskets and shoe organizer to get my pantry/samples under control and had another $3 in surprise points and only paid 1.74oop on that transaction…SCORE!
I got $3.00 off when I spent $25. So I got my 13 year old son 4 pairs of fleece sleep pants, an insulated lined shirt jacket and 8 bags of sugar free Russell stover candies for $31.00.
Mine was $4 BUT had to spend $15 at kmart first. Thanks but I will pass!

I had to go into my profile and opt back in to receive their e-mails today because I also never get these deals. If you opt out of e-mail communication, you are not on the list for bonus points and get knocked down to a “base” member, so I would check your settings in your SYWR acct
CJ, thanks for that information. Very interesting. Like Alyssa I never got a single email. I wondered how it could be because people report getting them so frequently. I just went into my profile and opted in to receive their emails. Keeping my fingers crossed that it works.

I got $3 with no restrictions. I got two 6-packs of socks for my boys (on clearance for $2.09 each) so my total with tax was just over $2 for 12 pairs of socks! My 2 boys go through them so quickly, we can never have enough!
I had 5000 surprise points last week and 5000 surprise points this week! Yay 🙂
These points always seem random to me. I used $5 surprise off $35 in clothes yesterday which was good because it didn’t have a clearance exclusion. I received the $25 of $250 today.

I got an email saying I have 3,000 and when I log in to shopyourway a banner comes up saying I have $3 in bonus points, but my account balance doesn’t reflect that….
It doesn’t show the points until you go to checkout, click redeem my points, and it should show up then 🙂
Mine didn’t either, but when I went to check out, it shows up! 🙂

I get these emails all the time for surprise points but have never in all my attempts to use them ever received the points I am making sure it is during the promotional period and within the guidelines I believe, now I got $15 off $15 purchase and tried to by $20 in carter’s clothes but the $15 doesn’t show up. When I received the email I clicked on the link to add the coupon to my account and it says it can’t be added. I only have one account so I’m not mixing them up. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m tired of missing out on points I would use
The points won’t show up until you go to checkout, then it should take $15 off your total! You’re lucky 🙂
The e-mail is very misleading. It is actually spend $15 and get $15 back in points but as the e-mail states it seems as though it will be taken off the purchase. To apply the $15 back in points you want to click the little link under where you can type in coupon codes to pull up your SYWR coupons and it will show up under there to be applied. Hope that works for you!
I actually received an email saying their was a problem with my coupon and they will be working on just straight crediting my account $15

I have gotten so much free and cheap stuff with these points. My offer was 5.00 in points when I buy anything. I may see if this combines with the banner points. I have two baby blankets and two baby clothing sets for 4.50 after points awaiting pick up Sunday. These are donating for the Salvation Army angel tree this year. My store tends not to fulfill orders within 5 minutes I score 5.00 in gift cards often.

Those who are placing orders and choosing store pickup, please check your credit card statements to see if you are being charged for shipping. I chose store pickup but got charged an extra $6.00 for shipping. Very deceptive.
So did I! Now I can’t even cancel because my store told me they don’t know how to do it and can’t find a manager to help.
Call the 1800 number on the website and they should be able to do a refund for you. They refunded the shipping charge for me.
I got 3,000 but I don’t think it’s been added to my total. Same with the two 500 pts from the earlier post.
I got an e-mail for 5000 points. When I go through my order, I don’t see the points being applied at check-out. Help!!
Click the original email…I think that activates it??? Not sure, but mine were not there & then I retrieved the email from my DH trash and clicked it and the $5 showed up when I went back.
Unfortunately, it will not let you redeem any of your points if you choose the option to pick up your order at the store. It apologizes and says they’re working on it (for ages now), but pretty much stinks that they force me to spend extra money and/or points on shipping when I want to just pick it up myself. 🙁
Is that a regional issue perhaps? I’ve never had any issues with that with my store in MD?
I just checked again and figured out what the problem is – they’ll allow you to redeem points using the store pickup option; it was the Pay At Store option that was causing the problem and was generating that error message.
I always select the Pay At Store option so I can use whatever coupons I have for the product I ordered when I pay for it at the store – as far as I’m aware, there’s no option to deduct manufacturer coupons when ordering online and paying online.
Thanks Collin! I got a Sassy Stackable Ring for my nephew on clearance for $2.02 pickup at store in 1-3 days (where my spice rack is still sitting since 12/27 -snow and work has kept us away) so hopefully Sunday we can pick up both!

I got the $10/$20 yesterday and was for YESTERDAY only, today I got the $5.00 bonus points. I was excited for a minutes and then realized the $10/$20 was one day only pass.
I have gotten 5000 free both times. I’m loving it, buying stuff to give as gifts in the future.
Mine were only good on items from Sears. If it was a Kmart item the points would not come off. But got a 7 pack of fun days of the week socks for free. Why the heck not!
If you have any problems with not receiving your points after you make a valid transaction, talk to them, they will fix it. I had just the FREE $3 in points and I asked if I did anything wrong, she said no it was just a computer glitch. I did get the $3 back in points instead of a price adjustment BUT these Surprise points happen often!
Log into your Shop Your Way account, click in the upper left corner on the Shop Your Way button, it will populate with a lot of item pictures and will show you if you have any surprise points waiting.

I had 2,589 pts from earlier and another 3,000 bonus pts today! My daughter loves these shoes and we both can’t wait ’til they get here. Now, I gotta find some cute skirts to pair with them.
I had points expiring and used then to buy a pair of vanity fair undies for free. When I went to pick them up, it didn’t show up on the screen so they went in the back to look for it under my name. A few if us were waiting for help and when he came back, he had a white mailing bag that he had torn open and was holding up my blue pls-sized undies asking, “Are these yours?” I was like…..I KNOW YOU DID NOT JUST DO THAT!!!!” I said yes. Left. And spoke to the manager the next day! So stupid!! Ok. Venting over 🙂
I got an e-mail today for 3,000 points. Got a really good deal yesterday. When I checked out the lady told me if I bought shoes I would get 15,000 points. So I grabbed a pair of boots for my husband. When I went to check out got the 15,000 points plus a bonus 5,000 points and the 4,000 points I had so the 34.99 boots were only 11.00

I got 5000 points. I used it to get a shower liner. The other good option is their laundry detergent at Sears. My Dad used to work at Sears, and he said their laundry detergent was excellent, he would bring one home when it was on sale.
Today went to sears and spent $100.00 on shoes using surprise points plus an additional $10.00 in SYW points for my bday what a lucky month.
Question: Does anyone know if i can use the points towards tax on my purchases? I have a ton of coupons that will make things free, but i still need to pay the tax.. thanks!!
