I don’t like that quote, lol. It seems negative to me as a mom. 🙂

    • Autumn

Agree, maybe if it said “doesn’t monetarily pay a thing”….maybe

    • Carol

      I agree.

I agree.I don’t like that quote either.I get paid in lot’s of ways.

  3. LG

Funny it sounds like an angry quote from a disorganized Mom. It should have said something like they don’t have enough money to pay a Mom for all that she does.

  4. Averyhappymom

I was totally going to say what you all just said. I don’t need a bag to remind me how difficult my “job” is and I don’t need money to reward me for it.

  5. Donna

It’s just meant as a joke! Jeez.

    • ihearthip

May be, but carrying that totally makes it look like you are complaining. I would never say that phrase.

Donna I agree with you. What has happened to the world’s funny bone? Was it removed? I’ve been a mother for 23 years and my youngest is 10. I thought it was meant as joke. As mothers we all know we don’t bring home a paycheck for breast feeding, changing soiled diapers, wiping running noses, staying up until our eyes feel like they are bleeding; because our little ones are throwing up everything they ate plus a few things you swear the neighbor kid ate last week at the sleep over at your house. Don’t leave out the preteen and teenage years when you don’t know what alien being has crawled into them and took over your sweet loving child. It’s at this stage where you swear their head starts to spin around and they start talking is strange tongues. You don’t want to think about the day they learn to drive and they no longer follow your rules about calling you when they go somewhere other than where they said they were going to be. The only way you know they weren’t there is because you know you saw your car with a bunch of crazy teens boys riding down the road and one of them has their butts out the window while the radio is blaring I like big butts and I can not lie. My son didn’t do this but he and his friends like to drive down the road and scream PENIS at people they know from school. Yes we get paid in the pleasure of being a MOM with the love our children provided and that is the best payment a parent could ever get. Any self respecting MOM knows you wouldn’t take a millions dollars for the love of a child but, we all know we have days that you would take a quarter for just a few minutes to go to the bathroom without your little one sitting on the tub asking a hundred questions while you use the restroom. Just one experienced mom’s opinion. Please take it with a grain of salt. One day when your children are grown they’ll tell you things they did that you didn’t know they ever did and you will laugh again.

I forgot to say that I’ve been a stay at home mom for 23 years and my husband works. I know this isn’t the average household but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I know that their are stay at home dads and other forms of head of household.

And not to mention it is sexist! I am a stay at home dad…. where is my bag devoted to me?!?! 🙂

    • 78Brownie

      WTG Roy!

Not every joke is funny. I’m not sure where they were going with this. Maybe they add somewhere, “but it has the best benefits package” or something.

      • Sam

        ^^ love this! ^^

  7. Casey

People, lighten up, move on, and don’t enter to win the bag! Good luck to those who entered.

  8. Lory

It DOES PAY TO BE A MOM!! JUST NOT IN $.
