I couldn’t find a way to send you a message, but wanted to tell you about a problem I had at Target today. I was buying 2 Aveeno face cleansers. I had a $2/2 printable coupon (coupons.com I think) but the cashier had to call a manager for approval. The manager then called security who had to take the coupon to verify it. It did scan, but they said they’ve had a lot of problems with guests photocopying coupons or creating their own high value coupons. I had to wait about 10 minutes, and he approved my coupon. They said this won’t happen with all printables, but it might happen again. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue! I did buy the Aveeno at $7.19 each, Cartwheel took off 5% on each, and I used the $2/2 coupon. Plus I just uploaded my receipt for the first time to Checkout51 for the Aveeno special. Score!!!
I have had quite a few Target cashiers over the past couple years who have scrutinized each coupon I have given them as if I were a criminal attempting “theft-by-coupon”. I usually don’t get such bad treatment if I go to the registers with the young male clerks.
I used the $5 off $20 at walgreens and then started using other coupons and it kicked out the $5 coupons saying I went below $20 dollars. I still didn’t get that bad of a deal so I didn’t worry about it, but walgreens has gotten worst and worst coupon wise. It beeps they won’t take it.
You can’t use additional coupons on top of the $5 off $20, as the $5 off covers all items for a $20 purchase.
Wrong u should be able to use manufacturer coupons to get below 20 to get 5 off if u use that coupin first bc the company walgreens target etc get paid back for those. I do stuff like that w cvs walgreens and it works just fine. Be smart when u organize and hand them over.
Next time try handing in the individual $-off coupons first and the $5 off $20 coupon last. And make sure your subtotal after all $-off coupons is above $20 before you use the $5 off coupon.
If we buy $30 worth of Loreal, can we use these coupons and also submit for the $10 rebate when you buy $30 that Loreal has on their Web site? I wonder if they’ll calculate the rebate before or after manufacturer’s coupons? Seems like each rebate treats it differently.

When printing Target coupons does anyone know how to distinguish whether it’s a Target q or manufacturer q before printing?
Also does anyone know if the $5.00 gift card will prompt when using $1.00 off Target q for hair care off website combined with the mobile text offer for hair care with this Loreal Paris promotion?
Does Target except coupons on free items? TIA
If you print the coupon from Target website, it’s a Target coupon. If you print the coupon elsewhere like coupons.com, it’s a manufacturer coupon. The $5gc will prompt as long as you have qualifying purchases over $20 but I am not sure if it will prompt based on total after coupons or before coupons. Let us know. YMMV on whether your Target accepts coupons on free items.
Coupons printed from the Target website are not always Target coupons. I’ve had manufacture coupons print. I don’t think there is a way to tell before printing.
On target.com, you can tell if it’s a manufacturer coupon if the wordings are “when you buy…”. It is a target coupon if the wording is “With purchase of…” or if it’s just the description of the items. That’s how you can tell if the coupons on target.com is a manufacturer coupon or target coupon. Hope this helps.
