WooHoo! If you have a Dollar Tree nearby, you can score inexpensive Old El Paso Mexican Cooking Sauce pouches! Hip2Save reader Kelli emailed to let me know that they were ringing up for only $0.33 each at her store. So my sidekick Mary (in Austin, TX) headed to her store and found that they were also ringing up for $0.33 each at her store too! 🙂

[h2s_box]My Dollar Tree has the new Roasted Tomato Mexican cooking sauce coming up for $0.33! I’m not sure if it’s a mistake or they are trying to get rid of them. Not only is that a steal, but there is a $0.60/3 coupon on Coupons.com, making them $0.13 a piece. These go for $2.79 at the Winn Dixie right next store! [/h2s_box]

I always get my bread from Dollar Tree, but I’ve gotta say a lot of times the bread is expired or about to expire. So if you’re picky about that you might want to watch out. It’s not really a problem for me because I usually put my bread in the fridge which keeps it fresh enough for me lol

The sauces are 0.33 here where I live too, In Kyle Tx. Also, they are delicious.

I live in Kyle as well how funny

We just tried the chipotle the night before last. We didn’t actually care for it, even though the chipotle had a pleasant smoky taste and a good (as in, for me, moderate) amount of heat. Overall it tasted odd, though, overpowered by the cinnamon. It tasted more like middle eastern cuisine than Mexican.

Being close to the expiry date is why the bread (and other foods) end up at dollar stores.

Not always. My husband used to work for Pepsi and all the drinks they deliver to dollar tree are the same that go to any other store and are not even close to expiring.

My area Dollar Tree also has the new Kraft, Recipe Makers. There are $1 off 1 coupons, so good deal.

I live in MI… has anyone ever seen this bread at our Dollar Trees? I’ve never looked for it, so I thought I’d ask in case anyone already knows. TIA!

    • Amber

I live in Marquette, MI and my Dollar Tree has bread.

      • DomesticPrincess

Thanks! Do you know if they have THIS brand of bread?

I don’t know about MN, but at our stores, it is hit or miss. Sometimes it is there, most of the time it isn’t.

I also found at my store that the Betty Crocker pizza crust mixes and cornbread mixes were 3 for a dollar. They had a homemade sign next to them.

  4. tracy

My Dollar Tree had Marie Callendar 7 ounce muffin, cornbread or biscuit mixes with a $1/3 peelie on the package.

Nice! Don’t forget to check for the Kraft Recipe Makers either! Free! There is a dollar coupon in the database and my dollar tree has tons of them (short expiration date though).

  7. Randie

My Kroger store has the soft soap for .88 which will go nicely with the coupon. 🙂
