it was around when they made the minor changes to the packaging. I wrote P&G and they said they are always changing products trying to make them “better”, and sent me a free product coupon to try another Charmin type because I didn’t like the new version.
Funny, to each his own. I quite like it. It never clogs our toilet even when you throw in a couple bum wipes used for #2.

You can’t really tell it’s 1 ply. This is all I ever bought before I saw the quilted northern deal here a couple weeks ago. I like Charmin basic a lot better then angel soft and some of the other cheapies. I actually think I like the basic better than this quilted northern I have now.

I need the reader to post about whether this is a good value as far as square footage goes! Is it Kristen you does that? Our toilets with 3 kids clog constantly, so maybe one ply won’t be such a bad idea! My husband would thank me if it worked because he is constantly unclogging toilets in our house!
At the store I only buy the charmin basic and have no trouble with it. I got the quilted northern deal from here a while back and the toliet is clogged constantly . I am a over user though lol. But anyways just wanted to say I did notice a difference in the two with that.
If you have clogging issue give this a whirl! Never clogs even with a flushable wipe loaded in to the mix!
Yeh my hubby likes for people to use “flushable” wipes >>>wink wink<<< He has a plumbing company and gets calls a LOT to unclog toilets because people flushed them. He does inform his customers to never flush them. They don't break apart. Put a clean one in a bowl of water and see for yourself.
I have problems with my son and my husband clogging the toilet. I found out that 1-ply tissue was the answer. I have been buying 1-ply tissue since. It saves money also, because the tissue lasts a lot longer than 2-ply.
The math doesn’t add up. $21.97 divided by 60 comes to just over 36 cents a roll not 18 cents.
That’s for a double roll. Collin divides that by two to get the cost of a “single” roll.

Don’t count on the 5% back for Staples rewards members though. You have to add up to a certain amount of money in a certain amount of time (I think it is 3 months) in order to receive that back. Sorry, I am not sure on the amount and time info, I just know I would see some money building under that category on my Staples Rewards account, and then it would reset to ZERO! I have NEVER gotten any 5% rewards back!
