Has anybody used this company before? What are their ink cartridges like? Any comments would help. Thanks

    • Lisa

Was wondering that same thing, Summer.

      • Isabel

I’ve used this company for both personal and work ink. Never had any complaints. Great products and if they’re not, they have good customer service and a good warranty.

I ordered two xl cartridges for a lexmark printer – the first one I tried was not compatible – the second one worked. they shipped me a new one to replace it and that one was also not compatible. I still have to call and have a new one shipped out 🙁 hopefully that one works – but in the mean time had to run to staples and get an original lexmark to use because i couldnt wait for the replacement – Good customer service, but sort of a hassle to keep shipping back and forth!

Darn forgot to go through ebates. I ordered one to see and then i will go from there. I am out of ink and not able to print the great coupons that Collin has had on her site:) So we will see as the prices are really good compare to what I pay.

My wallet says buy, but my brain says “Is this for real?” I am waiting to hear what anyone has to say about this company.

    Dear Hip2Save:
After I purchased a cartridge I wanted, I got a Bizrate survey, at the end of which I was offered to subscribe to up to 4 magazines for $2 per year. I picked All You, which is a good deal, but then I was reading online about it being somewhat shady when your year expires and you are charged at an unknown rate if you forget to cancel, so, I was wondering if you had experience with those and if canceling on time is all there is to it.
    Thank you in advance

    • Lory

Yep, we got charged for four magazines subscriptions @ full rate w/ NO warning, they just charge your card.Buyer Beware.

      • katttro

Lory, was it a very high rate, or the regular $20 a year or so? I am just wondering how bad it is. Thank you for responding!

        • Lory

Whatever the retail price is for the magazine is what you get charged.we had four,so within two weeks we were charged over $87! I know one was $22.50 I think it was Elle or Oprah? So just beware. Good luck & have an awesome day! 🙂

          • katttro

            You, too, and thank you!

        • Lory

We were charged the full retail price for all four magazines & it came to something like $87? Just one I remember was $22.50 & that was either Elle or Oprah. It just showed up on our statement w/ no warning,no letter,no email, nada from them. I know this is something we won’t do ever again,it just isn’t worth the hassle. Good -luck to all & have an awesome day! Lory

There have been complaints about this scam for years. I would cancel it right away and inform my credit card company.

Has anyone every used refurbished ink? Is it worth it? I am scared to try it out and then be disappointed ! TIA!

    • katttro

I have used both refurbished and generic ink from Amazon, at $7-$12 per a full set of black and all colors for over a year now, and I could not be more happy, I could not coupon if ink cost me $20+ a cartridge! Some people complain about generic ink messing up their printers, but I have never had as much as a hiccup.
I would advise getting a very cheap or free wireless printer from Craigslist, which I did a couple of times already, and using generic ink, if you are afraid to mess up your nicer printer (people usually sell their printers really cheap when they feel that the ink is too expensive to recharge at full retail price).
There are some HP printers compatible with iPads and iPhones – Airprint Printers (https://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356), and you can print from Coupons.com through those (only HP, no other brand), I have 3 Apple devices in the house, saves me a ton of time just picking the right coupons and printing directly, much faster than my antiquated and bug-ridden laptop.

    • Sussie

First of all, these refurbs are very expensive. I’ve been using refurbished ink cartridges for at least 10 years without a problem. I get mine from 2 different sellers on ebay and I get 1 black/1 color for about $8 which includes shipping.

  7. katttro

Oh, the deal is you can only order 1 $1 cartridge per order, so, each will be $1+$3.99 shipping=$4.99 total, which is still not bad for a genuine cartridge, but not quite $1. I usually get my printing ink for coupons on amazon, its generic, but super cheap.

    • katttro

Scratch “genuine” from my above response. It appears that those may be generic or remanufactured.

I just received mine from the last time this was posted a few days ago and so far it works great no problems. I’ve printed many coupons and it hasn’t put a dent in the amount of ink so I’m sure it will last just as long as retail. I would recommend.

We use 950XL (951XL color). I can pay $40 :/ for 950XL. This is a great deal! I used refurbished cartridges years ago (different printer) and never had any issues. With all the coupons I’ve been printing, I should reconsider refurbished cartridges.

  10. samantha

I bought two an both set of blacks didn’t work 🙁

  11. Fabiola

I recently received my ink order that I placed last time Collin posted and I am so glad I did! I use HP 74 and 75 and had never bought remanufactured cartridges. I ordered 7 cartridges, the XL, for the price I would of paid for ONE if I had bought them new. I was also impressed that they have a 1 year guarantee. So now I have scored very cheap ink with almost free paper from staples after rebate 🙂

  12. fabiola

I am very glad I actually ordered 7 cartridges last time Collin posted about this. I use HP 74 and 75 and decided to give them a shot. I got the XL and ended up paying what I would have paid for ONE brand new cartridge! I was also impressed by their 1 year warranty. I should not need ink or paper (staples deal) for a very long time! 🙂

    • fabiola

opps! didn’t realize my post actually went through earlier!

  13. Michelle

I bought last time and this is a legit deal. I got two XL blacks and four colors for the price of 1. My cartridges have already shipped and for the price I am impressed.

  14. Julie

just curious…has anyone ever ordered from 4inkjets.com? the have great prices, 20% off from shopathome and I need 950XL and 951 XL cartridges. I have never used the refurb ones before

    • Amie

I have used 4inkjets for years and never had an issue. I use their generic brand with no problems.

      • Amie

Sorry, it is 123inkjet that I have been using not 4inkjets.

  15. Michelle

I ordered these last time when Collin had these deal posted. Got them right away and I ended up getting 3 Black XL and 2 each of the three colors I needed for $47 not a bad deal at all in my opinion. Also went through shop at home for 17% cash back. I have installed them seem to be working just fine….hth’s
