Would you love to have fun nail colors and mani, pedi and beauty products delivered right to your doorstep on a monthly basis?! Then you may want to check out Julep Maven! And if you’re new to Julep Maven, you can snag your very first Maven Box for just $3.99 shipped (over a $40 value)! :D

Here’s how it works…

Head over here, click on the Join Maven button, and then scroll down and choose one of the five Starter Boxes that most matches you (choose from Modern Beauty, Bombshell, and more).

* Click on the Add to Bag button and add the Starter Box to your cart for $19.99 and head to checkout. Be sure to enter the promo code FREEBOX or FREEMAVEN and you’ll snag this intro box for FREE + $3.99 shipping. Please note that this offer is limited to first first time Mavens only.

* Every Starter Box will feature over $40 worth of never-before-released polishes, cutting edge treatments and cult favorites, including at least two nail colors and one full size product, three nail colors, or two full size products.

* Keep in mind that by signing up for a Maven box, you are signing up to receive boxes on a monthly basis from Julep Maven (after this first month’s box is sent for just $3.99 shipping, your monthly cost will be $19.99 for up over $40 worth of products). You will be notified by email on the 20th of the month with a preview of the products they’ve customized for your next month’s beauty editor Box. Note that you can earn a skip every six months from the date you signed up – just log into your account during the Monthly Maven Reveal (20th – 24th of every month) and if you have a skip option available to use, you can use it then or save it for later (so you can skip up to two times per year).

* If, for whatever reason, you do not want to continue to be a Julep Maven, just call the Maven Team at 877-651-3292 (note that they cannot process cancellations by email or online). Remember that you must cancel by the 24th at 11:59pm PST to avoid being charged on the 27th.

Forgot to mention that they also have great products other than nail polish. I use their cleanser on my face and Luxe Repair as a face serum.

One strong point they have is the glitter polishes(Percy is beautiful). All of them that I’ve tried are full coverage or close to it. I know that isn’t for everyone, but I Know it’s a plus for me. I agree with someone else who said that the pricing perks and the ease of skipping boxes is worth the membership.

I like some of the polishes. Their freedom polymer coat is awesome though! Makes your nails feel really strong and thick.

Their polishes are actually the best I have personally ever tried. Takes about 4 days before they start chipping, which is a long time with me staying busy with 2 little ones, I’m super rough on my nails. :)

I did this a few years ago. Warning…if u are within a few days of the next month, they will charge u. You can’t cancel online —–you have to call them and they interrogate u over the phone as to why u are canceling. Took me 30 min to convince them I want to cancel and get thru their ploys to get u to stay hooked.

Agreed! I called when I received my box to cancel my subscription for any future months. They told me it was all set. Got a charge to my account a few days before the next one. I called up again to cancel my subscription and credit my account. Told it was all set and would take 3-5 business days to process the credit. Ended up being mailed the box. Called yet again to tell them to credit my account and cancel my subscription. “We can’t credit your account because you received product.” Oh my gosh!! It took multiple more phone calls and scathing emails before I finally got it all straightened out. The products are nice….but not nearly nice enough for the hassle.

I also had trouble with them. Not worth the hassle. Had to do several emails before I finally got it canceled. Introductory deal is good, but not worth the monthly price after that.

The boxes are okay, but I’m far from impressed. I’ll keep it a couple of more months and see if the boxes get better.

Just to let all you ladies know that on 1/16/14 the subscriptionpolicy changed. Any new subscribers get to earn a “skip the month” after 6 months. Only those that registered before 12/31/2013 are in the “grandfathered” subscription that allows you to skip every month. Just keep this is mind when subscribing :).

Wow that’s shady. I hate this company. Took me months to cancel and their polishes are average at best. Of the 6 or so boxes I got from them the only good product was the pedi cream. Everything else is basically untouched.

Thanks Max for catching that! I just updated the post.

I was just looking at their site today trying to figure out how the heck to skip my month & I could not find it. I signed up in late nov or dec I wonder if that is the reason why.

I am actually excited for the February box! I usually skip, but i’m excited to try their new eye shadow, and this “Love” polish looks really pretty! I don’t think people will like their new policy on skipping months, but if you like nail polish, and want to build a chic collection quickly, its definitely worth signing up!!

If you want a great subscription box, try Ipsy! It’s 10 bucks, free shipping, and definitely worth it. Watch some YouTube videos on it or go to their site for more info. Great for makeup addicts and you almost always get at least 1 full size product if not more.
