Wow! Check out this email I received from Hip2Save reader Jennifer –

[h2s_box]Sears is doing some phenomenal stacking deals on kids clothes right now! I was able to stack four different deals on top of all clearance items and the net result was that I got 9 girls fancy dresses equaling $534 retail value for just $81.91 after the clearance prices and coupons were applied ($63.79 after using my SYW points + bonus points) plus I got $40.64 back in points!

After adding a total of $100 worth of items to my cart I first used the SAVEME20 coupon code to get $20 off the order total, valid through 3/1. Then, Sears automatically applied the following Special Offer which was showing in a banner on the top of each clothing item web page: “Members get $20 back in points when you spend $50 on clothing, accessories or lingerie” – valid through 1/25.

Then, I was also able to apply two separate “$10 back in points on a $50 or $75 purchase” SYW coupons (valid through 1/31), for a total of $40 bonus points back, plus the $0.64 in earned points. Ultimately, with $40.64 back in points, the net cost of my $500+ worth of clothing was just $41.28 – a 92% savings! Thank you Shop Your Way Rewards![/h2s_box]

I thought they changed it so that when you use points, you don’t earn points anymore? Did the points show up in your account already cus I would love to do this? Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • mel

I’ve ordered clothes 3 times by using points, my order has been free each time. And within 24 hours I’ve gotten points back from ordering.

      • Torri

Ok thank you.. I just had remembered people having issues with the toilet seat deal where they didn’t get the points if they used points, so I wanted to be sure. Thank you Mel.

      • Melanie

Me too .I thought it was a glitch in their system so stopped ordering after the 4th free toddler t-shirt ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess it isnt really a glitch since im not the only one this happened to.

    • Crystal

Torri, you are right. I just tried this and when I chose to use points to pay for the order, my points earned on the order dropped to $0.00.

      • Torri

Thank you for letting me know Crystal.. I was trying to decide if I wanted to try this or not.

      • Sarah

Hmmm…I did it, used points and earned my $20+ points.

        • Torri

Did you pay using all points? Or just some points and some other payment?

          • K

I paid with my points (a whole $0.20 lol) and still got my points back – I think you can use your points as long as it doesn’t make your order drop below the promotional balance. Meaning, if you order $50 worth of items but use $20 in points, your total is only going to be considered $30 and thus won’t qualify for the $20 back in points and the extras… does that make sense?

            • Torri

That does make sense. Does anyone know if there’s a way to choose the amount of points you use rather than use all of them? Thank you

    • amy

To my knowledge you can not use only points to pay. As long as you pay with another form of payment you should receive the SYWR points.

  2. Destinee

Does anyone have the link to that zebra print dress in the picture? My store didn’t have the size I needed and they are adorable! TIA!

  3. Christine

Do shoes count as accessories? I saw an awesome pair of boots there yesterday

    • nicole

No, shoes are shoes. Accessories would be scarfs, socks, jewelry, and I believe purses/wallets.

  4. Andrea Smith

Their website is so frustrating. Constant errors/page won’t load. I give up.

  5. soy

QUESTION: Where do I go to turn on this ” Must remain opted-in to receiving promotional emails from Shop Your Way to earn extra points. ” thing? I was trying to place an order, but before I pay I noticed the points I will get back is only $10

  6. Laura

It’s not showing me the $20 special offer.

    • Nil

      I don’t see either

  7. Caitlin

Tons of stuff priced at $2.99 in boys department. I am hoping I can find enough to total $100!

    • Caitlin

Update: was not able to use the $10 back in points on a $75 purchase, but everything else worked great. Paid $87.55 including tax for 25 items shipped to store, getting $30.81 back in points! Great deal! I was able to get several pajama sets, eight pairs of pants, four hoodies, and a ton of shirts for my 8 and 4 year old boys.

  8. Andrea

Wouldn’t work for me. After I got $100 worth of clothes and socks in my cart, I applied the save 20 code and it said that either a better discount was applied or my order was not applicable. And all i had was the $20 worth of SYWR points towards my next order. Order still stood at $100

    • Gloria

The same thing happened to me but I didn’t have socks in my cart. I called customer service and the rep took my order and then she ended up saying I was only getting the 20,000 pts. because clearance didn’t qualify for the $20 off $100.

  9. Krissy

The SYWR $10 off of $75 can’t be used on clearance. It won’t work on my order! Trying to decide if my order is worth it. I’d be paying $68.97 out of pocket and getting back $30.69 in rewards for A boys winter coat, snow pants and a snow suit for my daughter. The extra $10 would have sealed the deal.

    • Torri

10 off 75 or $10 back in points?

  10. Cristine

I was able to buy $101 worth of kids clothes, apply the SAVEME 20, pay $81 with free shipping for SYWM, and got $30 in points back, essentially making my total $51. For 14 items. woohoo!

    • Saira

I have $100 in kids clothes and still it wont take saveme 20 why?

  11. Tamara

Most of the girls dresses I see online are out of stock for shipping and not sold in any of the store close to me. When I searched by size, only 1 item was available! Not worth my time. I was hoping to score a bunch of dresses for my daughter for the next year or two.

    • Torri

I was just at the store. It is available in store as well.

  12. K

Does anyone know if the special offer (getting $20 back when you spend $50) is valid in store, or online only??

  13. Elizabeth

Won’t let me stack any of the codes for $20 off or $10 back in points and says nothing in my card about getting back $20. ๐Ÿ™

  14. K

Got it to work ๐Ÿ™‚ Paid $87 (after $5 in tax) but got back 41,000 points! and went through ebates and will get 6% cash back! (almost $5 back from them) for a total of just over $41 for 4 super nice dresses that my daughters really needed! Plus, I will be using my points to buy my son his Easter suit ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for the deal!!

    • Torri

How did you get it to work? What order did you put in the coupons?

      • K

I first did the $20/$100, then the $10 back from $50, then the $10 back from $75 (the $20 back from $50 automatically applied itself) – I was having trouble getting the $10 back from $75 to work because I randomly had a $7 back from $35 coupon applied but not actually giving me those points. I had to go in to the “coupons that were applied” and manually remove it and then the other coupons worked just fine. I hope that helps!

  15. Lacey

I got $394.98 worth of kids clothes for next winter for 49.95! 88% off! Subtotal was $103.04, I used the Saveme20 (it worked on clearance), a $4 of off $20 clothing SYW code from an email earlier this week, and a $10 coupon code from SYWM, and got $30 in points back. Awesome!

    • Lacey

Forgot to mention I got 21 items for that price! And a coat was included! Great deal!

  16. Amy

What about free shipping? I am trying to place an order and I’m told that I can’t receive free shipping off of clearance items.

    • Gloria

I spent $111 and it wasn’t giving me the free shipping either, all my items were clearance items.

  17. Julie

Got 12 items for $50, plus I’m getting $30 back in points, so less that $2 each!

  18. Liz

Free Shipping is not working right.

    • kristina

I can’t get free shipping to work either ๐Ÿ™

  19. Adyl

I’m boycotting Sears! They have the most horrible customer service and very rude sales associates!

  20. jadenbru

Don’t forget to go through ebates for 6% cash back!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. Julie

Does anyone have the Shop your way coupon code numbers. I had all my items in the cart my coupons were showing 40,700 worth of points and the site crashed and emptied my cart, so my coupons are gone ๐Ÿ™

  22. Liz

The “$10 back in points on a $50 purchaseโ€ is not working on clearance items.

  23. Vishnu

Patience is key. I got my 50$ clearance price order to work with 10+20$ pack in points. Used shopathome for 5% and sears card for additional 2%back in points. Free shipping too. I got mostly girls pjs.

    • Julie

Vishnu, which shop you way reward offer did you use?

  24. marlene

very annoying i have alot of baby items but cant bring my total past 40 so no discount and no free ahipping i guess you can only add 15 items to your cart

    • Elizabeth

That is odd I had 21 at one point…

  25. sneha

i did the order of 100$ saveme 20 used i only 2 other coupons 10points of 50 and 10% back in points other20% points automatically taken but not taken 10points of 75$ purchase got only 86$ spending got ony 32$ points ( not 42$)so mentioned.

  26. Liz

Are we getting back those $20 bonus points right away after ordering or on 1/26??

    • Elizabeth

Well my order history shows I earned $40 in points but my available points show only $20 at the moment. Im not sure if the automatic $20 in points is delayed or if the $20 from the coupon codes is delayed.

      • K

My account says the same – earned over $40 but only shows $20 in my account at the moment…

    • Torri

The sign at the store says bonus points available on 1/26, but they also expire sooner.

  27. Elizabeth

It took forever but I was finally able to get my son 4 pairs of pants, 5 shirts, a hoodie, and a baseball hat for $62.29 shipped to store minus a $5.12 point redemption making it 60.61 after tax with 40.57 back in points.

  28. SUMMER

Don’t forget that you can save even more money, like I did, by getting a discount gift card for either Sears or Lands End (works for Sears)! Raise.com is offering 5.00 off any 60.00$ purchase for New Members!

I SAVED AN ADDITIONAL *Almost* $8.00 ($70.00 gift card – 4% discount -$5.00 coupon code= $62.71 total paid), BEFORE I EVEN BEGAN TO SHOP! WOW!!!

  29. Jennifer

What a nightmare online! As soon as I picked out enough to total $100 it did not apply all of the above mentioned discounts. Is it possible to get the discounts on an in-store purchase?

    • Cacamejl

Same here, an hour shopping and none of the darn discounts would apply.

  30. Liz

Nightmare for me! Sears cancelled part of my order due to some items out of stock. I did not get the $20 back in points since my order total was below $50! Very happy. I contacted customer service (online chat), and cancelled the whole order. I was told that I was going to get a refund in the next 7-10 business days.

  31. Amy

same here -keeps saying a better coupon was applied and won’t let me combine the offers ๐Ÿ™

  32. Pat

It would not apply those discounts for me, either. I did get the advertised 20% in points and it took the coupon for an extra 10% in points, but nothing else. I don’t know why it thinks there is something better being applied than the $20 off $100! I used close to $20 in existing points, and I’m getting $30 points back, but I was counting on that $20 to make this a great deal. If anyone finds an explanation for that $20 being rejected, I’d love to hear it!

  33. natalie

    me 2

  34. Stacy

Spent way too much time filling my cart, applied a couple coupons, then my cart “errored” and disappeared and I started again from scratch. Now the code saveme20 is not applying nor the $10 off $50. What a waste of time! :/

  35. Rett

Dear sweet baby Jesus, that was so unbelievable I had to try twice just to make sure. Totally mission impossible for some PJ’s. No thank you, mama needs some Tylenol now.

  36. Madison

Very disappointing. This is not working.

  37. Queenjen87

I tried $50 worth, free max shipping, get $30 in points back. Only thing is I have $0 points and really debating on this one ๐Ÿ™

  38. Kari

Got a e-mail back on the $20 missing points. The fine print says that the points are valid from 1/26/14 to 2/2/14. Hopefully they will show up tomorrow….

  39. Cacamejl

I still can’t get the saveme20 to work. No other coupons are being used, not sure what the problem is. Ugh!

  40. Cacamejl

I just called customer service and the woman talked in circles with no valid explanation of why the coupon isn’t working. Sure wish I knew how others got it to work.

  41. Sammy

I placed my order of $100, added the shop your way promos, and a promo code 2daysale for 15% off clothing. I spent 89.24 and got back 40.88 in points! ๐Ÿ™‚

  42. Torri

Ok I’ve been working really hard trying to figure out why some promos are not working for everyone. This is what I’ve found: some clearance clothes are not working with the SAVEME20 promo. In order to get the promos to stack, you need to add then separately. When you go to the screen to apply your syw coupons, add a coupon, then exit the screen, let that coupon take effect, then go back to the add coupons screen to add the $10 in points pin a $75 purchase. That’s how I got it to work anyways.
