This deal is pretty awesome with the 10 off deal: 8 movietickets&popcorn=30bucks
8 people can go to the movies and score a free popcorn for each guest yES, 30 bucks..and its NOT a .99 cent theater I think that’s a record or something! If you live in south ga its a total score, its right off I-75

Haven’t use groupon before. Anyone know how secure and how easy it is to redeem the certificates?

    • Brenda

I’ve used groupon on many occasions and I’ve never had a problem printing nor redeeming a groupon. It’s been nice for purchasing children’s classes and activities. I do call in advance before I show up just to be on the safe side.

    • DeanaOC

It’s secure but redeeming them is hit or miss. I’ve never had a place refuse the groupon or anything but sometimes you get attitude when you tell the place you have one. Also make sure you follow the groupon to a T as far as what you get never assume something’s included. For example over the weekend my husband and I used one we got where we spent $25 for $50 worth of food. Most places include any food towards the $50 then if you go over you pay this place only counted our 2 entrees and appetizer. So even though our tab came to like $53 they only gave us credit for $40 for the groupon and we had to pay $13 for our drinks and side salad. First time that had ever happened at a restraunt with groupon for us so just read the fine print!

      • Jessica

Thanks, that was super helpful. So, did you lose the $10 since only $40 was credit or do you still have the $10 credit for next time?

        • DeanaOC

I just lost it. I still saved $15 so not a total loss but since it was the first time that had happened I was not impressed with the place! Lol

          • michelle

All of my Groupons up here in Detroit are always for food only, no drinks.

            • Deana

Yeah normally they say valid for food only excludes drinks and gratituity isn’t included (remember to tip on the value of the Groupon!). Just odd we had to pay for the salads! I’ve never had a groupon adjusted before and I’ve used them a LOT- in fact I’m going down for Mardi Gras and will be using about 4 of them down there so they’re normally a good deal just be sure to read the fine print!

Does anyone know if it works if you buy a total of $40 across multiple items or needs to be on a single item? Thanks!

    • Dawn McGavin

I’m trying to figure that out too! It doesn’t seem to have a cart in which to add more than one item. Anyone have experience with this? 🙂

      • Elaine

I think it has to be one deal at $40 to get the $10 off.

    • cecil

I tried it too and it seems that it needs to be $40 on a single item. darn!

    • Shel

Looks like it has to be off of one item. I was wondering about this also, & finally found the following in the FAQ section: “For a limited time, you can buy a Local deal and receive a $10 discount off your purchase of $40 or more! Just enter the promo code 10OFF40LOCAL at checkout.

The $40 purchase requirement can be met by purchasing any Local Groupon that costs $40 or more. Please keep in mind that not every deal is a Local deal—only the ones that are redeemed at local businesses.

Here’s what you should know before you buy:

Limited quantities available. Limit one per customer. Purchase must be $40 before taxes. Promo code valid from 2/15/14 at 7 a.m. PST thru 2/17/14 at 11:59 p.m. PST, or while supplies last. Valid only toward Groupon Local Deal purchases on Groupon.com and the US Groupon mobile app; not valid toward purchases of Groupon Goods or Groupon Getaways deals or on mobile website. Cannot be applied to previous purchases.”

      Hope this helps 🙂

So I tried to get multiple restaurant deals, but it has to be used for one 40$ purchase. and the deals we wanted were only 11$ and limit of 2 so I couldn’t reach the 40$…. lame! at least I found out after moving multiple states, that a restaurant exists that I used to frequent where we lived before. I did put a deal into the cart that cost over 40$ and then it would take 10$ off, but I don’t need laser hair removal!

Scored $80 worth of plants at a local nursery for $30. I did this same groupon last year and they had great bedding plants. Bring on the spring weather!!!!!

  10. Neshia

I entered the code under one of my nearby deals and it said sorry, you cannot redeem this code at this code.

Living Social has a President Day sale too. Use 2014PRESDAY code for 20% off.
