Target: Possible 90% Off Valentine’s Clearance Tees
Headed to Target?! Check out this email I received from Hip2Save reader Sarah:
[h2s_box]I went to Target yesterday wondering if there would be any leftover Valentine deals. The actual “Valentine Section” was 90% off, but I must admit, there wasn’t much worth finding there. Anyway, I found some seasonal shirts in the regular clothing section and wondered if they were marked down. One shirt was marked $8 and one was marked $9 — no clearance tag. I took them over to a scanner (after reading advice on your website!) and found that the prices were actually $0.80 and $0.90! Insane! [/h2s_box]

I am so sad my target is only 70% off and there are only a few remaining items.
I got a nice long-sleeved shirt for myself (black with a heart detail, not too valentiney) for $3.60 (at 70% off, originally $12) a couple days ago. There wasn’t much left on the Valentine’s section, so I wouldn’t think anything worth it survived to 90% off.
I did get a pack of four Hot Wheels cars for $1.50. The package says Valentine’s but the cars themselves are regular hot wheels. Good to keep in the presents closet until the boy does something present-worthy 😉
Went yesterday to Target in MA and there wasn’t too much left, but everything was 70-90% off. Got the last dog toy for my pet for .36, and some tissue paper for .19 and some love gift bags for cheap too 🙂

my mom went to Target in Salem & Danvers they had nothing
I went yesterday and our target was basically wiped out. I did manage to find touchdown m&ms on clearance for $1.58 a bag and used the target coupon for $1.50 off 2. They were found in the regular candy aisle
All of our local Targets are salvaged with the items showing INF, so I think its too late for this deal.
I had this problem and I was lucky they gave it to me anyways but they were going to charge me 8.00
I went to mine yesterday and they were already putting up Easter stuff! I did get my daughter a few sippy cups $0.29 and $0.39 and an outfit that said Mommys sweetheart for $0.89. Boxers for my husband for $0.99 and a cake pop tray for $1.69! There was a lot of candy left.
On a side note a lot of diapers in the boxes were 15%, does anyone know when it goes down further?
Select Huggies was 30% off last time I was there.
These were with Vday stuff in Richmond VA. A woman filled her cart.
I was told that if something starts at 15% it does not go lower. If it starts at 30% it will move to 50% then 70% and if the manager approves 90%. Typically 90% is for holiday items. This info was from a Target employee in her 20s.

I work at Target, if it ends in an 8 it will be marked down again. If it ends in a 4 it is at its final markdown and lowest price. Hope this helps some.
This doesn’t apply to seasonal merchandise though, sorry.
I found a display of these shirts yesterday. Sign said 50, but ringing at 90. Only 1 cute girls one though. I would only need the boy ones for presents, but they seemed a bit too themed to give as a gift.
We went to Target and bought 20 count packs of valentines with raisinets and nestle crunch bars. Great for easter baskets and when you just need chocolate!!!
Steph from my understanding Target clearance goes as follows. 15% then 30% then 50% then 70% this is for non seasonal items (ex. Valentines, Christmas, etc.) For seasonal items it goes 50% the day after then70% then 90%. There is a toy clearance twice a year (jan and june) that starts at 15% then 30% then 50% then 70%. I hope this helps.
seasonal items also start out at 15 sometimes and 30 all the time. many target employee friends and family in my circle
Yup got a couple girls shirts for $0.90 and all some star dollar items not ringing up anymore but the cashier manually entered 90% off
I went on wednesday and everything was marked 50%, but really 70% and 90% when scanned! I scored a lot of awesome stuff! The “first blocks” with little person were $.29! So i went to the regular toy aisle to find more and they wouldn’t scan a price at all- so they gave me all 5 for $.29 ea! A shirt for $1.20! Bird ceramic container for $.99! A super cute container for $.49! Wine gift bag for $.19… Little mermaid valentines for next year that include notepads for $.40! Btw.. I rcvd my naked wines order and we were very happy with the wine! Such a awesome buy! Thabk u soooo much!!!!
My store had lots of men’s boxer/ sleep shorts 90% off still. They don’t look very valentiny. .so I had to scan them to be sure. 🙂
I also got vday dark m&ms-$0.98 and touchdown peanut for$1.58… Used $1.50/2 mq and $1.50/2 target coupon= free!! And also scored 2 32oz of coffee mate creamer… Price matched food for less 2/5- $1.25/2 mq-$1/2targetq= $2.75 for 2! Awesome deal.. Even cheaper since i used my redcard.
1 Target had the toddler girl shirts with the other licensed character clothes. But the Minnie Mouse and Miss Piggy Vday tops were ringing up full price. Then I found the toddler boy shirts in the accessories section with a couple womens vday tops and men boxers.
At another Target, all the toddler shirts (both boys and girls) were mixed in with other licensed character shirts.
Today there was no valentines day stuff left. I found a couple of items that they didn’t remove but when scanned they weren’t in there system any longer.
So sad, totally saw this shirt yesterday and didn’t scan it. Had scanned a thousand girl clothes that looked like Valentine’s Day (one even said be mine)and none of them were so gave up when I came to the boy clothes.
Many things even said vday in the system, but scanned assert full price.weird.
I got a cute toddler shirt with a bee on it that said “bee mine” for $0.90
I got the same shirt. My daughter loves it soo much that she wanted to change at the strore! That was the only shirt I found that was on clearance, even though there were several others that looked like Valentine shirts, but they were ringing up full price.
My target had these shirts full price. They said the valentine clearance was over and they are now back to full price… very strange. I have the worst Target. I did get a Disney princess house.. reg 39.99 for $11
some if not all ATL targets reverted back to ful price with V-day ending today

When I find items that scan as not being in the system, I take them to the service desk. They can look up what it last sold for and sell it to you for that price!
I bought a pair of men’s pajama pants (for me) yesterday. $1.50. Not much at my Target.
I bought some Valentines for my boys’ lunches as little love notes 🙂 The ones I picked actually didn’t say “valentine’s” on them, so they will work all year 🙂 Best part, only 25 cents!
Just left target, they took the valentines items off the shelf..but I was able to find cabbage patch kids that were previously 90% for $9.99 and a valentines dog toy 90%..problem is the wouldn’t ring up since the valentines items were removed from the shelves. Had the same issue for Halloween clearance hidden items. Long story short since they couldn’t locate the items in inventory they bagged them up and just gave them to me!!! So never hurts to ask customer service for help

Is agree with you only if she intentionally stashed them somewhere with the intention to wait until now (when she knew the Vday merchandise had been put away and out of inventory) to try and buy them knowing that she’d get them free. Other than that, I think she just got a generous surprise for simply asking for help.

I found a pack of valentine slipper sock and 2 pack of women socks with heart shape pattern but the cashier said they are not for sale since the items are no longer in the system.
i shopped at target (zip 95014) on thursday 2/20 and valentine items were 70%. there was decent selection of candy left and i bought some with coupons. i went back today 2/21 but it was all gone. i asked employee if it was moved to different area but said it was removed from shelves. 🙁
Anyone seen heaters go down to 70%. I was there on Wednesday night and they were 50% off. Tia. 🙂
I went wendesdsy the first day 90% off started and I got tons of stuff… Kisses were 95cents or 1.50 for family size far deli chocalte heart was 25 for 7 this wasn’t just all there was lots more… I also got fuzzy slipper socks for 40cents
I went to my local Target yesterday ( Friday Feb 21st) and everything was already gone and did not survive to 90% off. i did find a really nice large red heart pillow that I could not find a price on it when i scanned it. They told me that it was already salvaged and was not supposed to even be in the store. They ended up giving it to me FREE, a $19.99 dollar item! I was excited! this NEVER happens in my Target store!
