Family is allergic to pineapple… Woohoo, just saved $5! 😉 haha

  2. Karen

I have one of these and it is just amazing! I love fresh pineapple and hate slicing it up! I freeze some of the pineapple and use it in my Yonana machine and the rest I use for fresh pineapple in my lunches! Oh, and Aldi’s has had them for .99 to $1.29 lately in my area which beats Walmarts $3.99 and Costco’s $2.99. Yay! I highly recommend it!

    • EJ

Don’t forget you can price match at Walmart and their pineapples are usually bigger than Aldi.

      • Jennifer

Oooh – what a great idea – I never thought of that. Hip2Savers are so smart 😉

  3. Jodi

I have one of these and LOVE it! We eat pineapple much more often and it is so much easier to cut up 🙂 My only complaint is when you have a really wide pineapple you lose some of the edges but my husband usually trims this off and uses it in him smoothies.

    • Shanshan

After I use it on a narrow or wide pineapple, I always take a big metal spoon and scrap the inside wall of the pineapple. And you end up getting more juice and pulp out of it. No waste!

This tool saves me so much time and sanity. It does help us to eat pineapples WAY more often so it’s worth every penny.

  4. Lisa

I ordered these last year as gifts. Awesome product, but boxes came smashed. Didn’t look pretty as a gift in the box! Shipped from overseas somewhere.

  5. reina

Thanks for this deal! 🙂 I just got it on Amazon! So excited to try this out. Usually get pineapple and hate cutting it. This will definitely get me to eat pineapple more often thanks so much!

  6. Trisha

Bought two. I just bought a dehydrator and this will come in handy slicing pineapple to dehydrate!

  7. Kristen

We have this and love it!

  8. Liz

I can’t tell you how many pineapples I purchased that went bad (and that’s not saving $$) all because I procrastinated cutting them. This may be the best $5 I’ll spend. Thanks for the deal Collin!

    • Christina

Liz…I’ve done the same thing!! THANKS COLLIN! 🙂

  9. Joy

Can’t ship to Hawaii. LOL because I’ve got pineapples growing in my yard!

    • jenn

ha ha. that is very silly on their part. why would people in hawaii need pineapple slicers?

      • Joy

To slice the pineapple that is growing in my yard.

        • Rach

I’m pretty sure Jenn was being sarcastic!

    • debbie

You can order from MMA for $4.95 free shipping. Just got one to be shipped to Kauai.

      • Anna

What’s MMA? I live on Oahu

        • debbie

if you click the link above, one of the sellers is MMA market team (or something like that).

    • Amy Mac

It’s because they get a special rate to ship to mainland USA from the USPS. Your package is likely to come via USPS First Class Mail. The product is so cheap with free shipping directly from China because your tax dollars and USPS funds subsidize foreign businesses and overseas shipping. Google it!

      • Sussie

I wonder how many people know this and if it would stop them from ordering certain things.

        • Amy Cardinal

I was excited to buy this until all I saw was shipped from China or Hong Kong. No go for me. I’ll just keep using a knife.

          • Linda

Avon Products also has these; didn’t check to see where it came from but I love mine; lot more money though.

  10. Tina

I have a similar one and love it!

  11. The Sugar-Free Couponer

Super easy to use. I purchased this for my dad the last time it was on Hip2Save and gave it to him for is birthday. He loves it and uses it every week. It did come in a smashed box, but the product was still perfectly fine.

  12. Susan

Thanks Collin! Just got one for that awesome price. My husband just became Vegan a few weeks ago so this will definitely come in handy with his increase in produce now:)

  13. Sarah

Just ordered one! Definitely will eat more pineapple if this works as well as y’all say it does. Liz, I’ve wasted pineapples too because I procrastinated cutting them. No more waste!

  14. axhilli

I find pineapples are pretty easy to cut up with a good knife but maybe another family member could use this so will definitely consider purchasing it. Does this adjust to the size of the pineapple?

    • Melanie

They are easy to cut with a good knife but this thing is amazing!! Sooooo fast!!

  15. Rebecca

Thanks!!! I’m so excited about this. Fresh pineapple is so much better than canned, but I never buy it since I hate cutting it up. I have family members the same way….guess what they are getting for their next birthday?!

  16. Emily

I ordered this last year and it was somewhat rusty and in a smushed box. Just FYI! I promptly threw it away. I would recommend getting one in person–this is not shipped from Amazon but by an Amazon seller in China.

  17. hollyS

These are AMAZING!! I got one as a gift. Not sure of the brand but it was about $20 and it has been worth its weight in gold. Just a couple twists and voila! You have the prettiest pineapple. I have used the shell to hold a fruit salad and to use for beverages. So pretty!

  18. Becca

Wonder which is better…Hong Kong or China? I have the one from Pampered Chef but it has a tendency to be wasteful on the edges.

    • Amy Mac

Hong Kong is part of China

  19. Emily

I got one and sorry to say it did not work well at all. I will have to admit I got it a number of years ago so maybe they have improved it.

    • Joy

Emily, I got one last year too.. mine smashed more than cut and wasted lots of pineapple. I found the pineapple was more crushed than firm and juicy like when you cut it with a knife. Maybe we got a couple of ‘duds’?

  20. Karen C

Does it concern anyone that it’s coming from Hong Kong? Any issues with that as far as fees go?

    • Amy Mac

      There will be no fees.

  21. K

I bought one of these and LOVE it! It is awesome and really works!

  22. Maggie

They work great until the twisting pressure on the button that locks into the handle wears out. But em cheap and replace as needed.

  23. Rachel

I purchased this last time Colin posted. It is a great way to cut a pineapple. I even bought one for my Mom and Mom in law for Mother’s Day.

  24. patti

I just got mine in the mail today, cheap cheap! No way I would ever pay the full value of $20 I ordered three for gifts, but the packaging looks like it is from a dollar store. To embarrassed to give as gifts.
