    Thank you for the match-ups!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are welcome, Picchu! 😀

  2. mel

just an FYI on the $3/2 Neutrogena coupon. I tried using it the wk before on a different ecb deal (think it was spend $20) and the coupon beeped something about no product found. I had 2 lip products and 1 face wash. When I swapped one of the lip products for another face wash, the coupon worked. So just be prepared for the beep.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How strange?! Thanks for letting me know!

    • Ayesha.

Last week I bought 3 face wash and it worked fine. No beep!

      • Meli

It beeped on the make up, so she swapped for another face wash. Probably a case of the coupon being miscoded.

    • jen

Dina, what vitamins were on clearance? This cvs q pairs up great with the vita melts 🙂

      • Dina

Really? Thanks. I believe that $5.99 is a clearance price.

        • jen

No it’s the sale price so you are all good! 🙂

        • steph

          Sale not clearance price

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, you should be fine to use that coupon since that item is not clearance. 😀

      • Dina

        Ops. Thank you guys 🙂

Does anyone know if you allowed to use a $4 off $12 CVS cosmetics coupon with a $3 off Almay Cosmetic CVS coupon?

    • Loyda

Yes!there are 2 different coupons. I did that this week and also used the $5 off 2 Almay printed from coupons.com 😉

    • Stephanie B.

      Yup, you sure can!!! 🙂

    • susan

      Yes you can

      • Kristine Franklin

Awesome thanks everyone. It will make a great mm combined with the $5/2 coupon 😉

    • katie

Actually you cannot, it is 1 cvs coupon and 1 manufacturers coupon per item.

      • jen

Katie, you can actually. The $4/$12 is based on her total, the the specific item. So she can use the $4/$12 q,the $4/1 almay cvs q and the $5/2 manu q. I did a similar deal last week with the sally hansen deal. No beeps or issues.

        • Kristine F.

I used both and it worked fine today! 🙂

      • steph

Yes she can since she is buying 2 items in the transaction

    • Allison

related question…so I have two CVS coupons…one is $2 off $10 advil, aleve, bayer, Excedrin, or cvs pain relief…and the other is $3 off one Excedrin…can I use both?

      • Deal ninja

Yes. As long as you have 2 items.

    • Dina

Two weeks ago I had two coupons: a $4 off $12 cosmetics CVS coupon and a $5 off $15 any Physicians Formula Cosmetics purchase. I tried to use them to buy 2 mascaras ($14.99 total), but was told that I had to have $27 total purchase to use both coupons 🙁

  13. Dani

Does anyone know of CVS allows more than one Emfamil check per cannister

  14. mindy

OFF TOPIC: I just clean up the house the other days since I have guests coming soon. I realized that I’ve become a hoarder! I have enough laundry detergent to last 5 years if I do laundry everyday which I don’t. Bathroom tissue – enough till our kids get in & out of college…can’t help it when it cost only $1 for 4 double rolls Quilt northern.

It get to the point I don’t buy shampoo anymore even if it’s only $0.50 unless it’s a money maker then it’s another story. I feel like a corner store in my house! I realized that once I used up the Up reward and extra buck reward, I don’t go back to the store to create/roll the rewards. Well, I have $10 extra buck and those will go toward milk and that will be the end of it for now. Until next Black Friday deals. LOL

Does anyone in the same situation as me? Or am I the only couponer becoming a hoarder?

    • Liz

Oh i feel u…i have too much of shampoo.I live in an apmt and i have no more space. So no more couponing for stuff unless its a MM.

    • Patty

I donate my extra items 2 times a year to my church. I also love to give little gifts here and there to the people who give me their coupons so I always have a manageable stockpile! 🙂

    • Maria

I do find myself a hoarder too:) and I feel blessed that I’m able to send toiletries and food to my family in the Philippines at least a couple boxes a year.:-)
      I don’t think I could’ve gone through each week without my Hip2save.
Thank you Collin for all you do! I truly appreciate it.

      • mel

When I first started stockpiling, gosh, 9, going on 10 years now!!, I went overboard myself! Then I realized I needed to take inventory. And figure how much my family goes through personal & household items within a month. Then when I got those numbers, figured how much I need for 1 year. So now I only keep 10 tubes of toothpaste, 6-8 sets of shampoo/conditioner, 12 bottles of bodywash.
Paper / cleaning products are a little harder for me, but when I come across good deals, I buy what I can afford, as long as I stay within my grocery budget. When I see my personal stockpile starting to run low, like down to 4, then I start looking for deals to stock back up.
One of my cousins told me I was a hoarder. I was like, uh no. Not a hoarder. I might look like a mini-mart, but my family uses these things. I can shop at my own house, and not have to worry about going to *gasp* walmart for a midnight run b/c I ran out of tampons!

        • jac

Good for you, Mel! I think you make a good point by distinguishing btwn stockpiling & hoarding. Hoarders collect & hang onto “stuff” because they have a compulsion to do it–stockpilers buy things they will (and do!) use. It’s easy for the line to blur, so having some guidelines like yours is helpful. Thanks for sharing.

      • momdkk

        Hi Maria,
How do you send the boxes and how much does it cost you. I have always wanted to do something like that but did not know how and also worried it might cost a lot.
        Thanks

        • Ana

Hi momdkk, a balikbayan box costs $65 to send to Manila and part of Metro Manila. It’s $90 to Mindanao. I don’t know about Visayas since I don’t have relatives to send boxes there. Should be between both costs. I’m near Champaign, IL and there is a store called Maligaya store that accepts boxes. Just search Maligaya Store Champaign IL if your near the area for directions.

      • marae

        Kumusta?

        • Ana

Okay lang, kau? Anung state u nakatira? Me, in IL.

          • marae

Indianapolis aku..wow do naman tau magkalayo.

    • Joan

I was worried that I was hoarding vs. sockpiling until 10 months ago when work became crazy. I’ve been on a 10 month ‘couponing vacation” living out of the stockpile! It has been great not worrying about running out of shampoo, conditner, toothpaste, cleaning products, etc. Now I can start just weekend shopping trips and slowly stock one item at a time.

I feel the same way!! When I first started using coupons about 4 years ago, I was in need of body wash. My best friend who is an avid couponer suggested that I go to Walgreens to get some free Right Guard body wash using some BOGO coupons. I didn’t have any and she suggested to dumpster dive for some. So there I was in a recycle bin around midnight with a headlamp flashlight in the pouring rain looking for these coupons, to which I found. I stocked up on the body wash and have never turned back. I love, love coupons. I went over board the first year trying to get all the deals and shortly after got burnt out. I was checking all these blogs and it got to the point where I was shopping at multiple stores and just getting things because they were free. Over the past couple of years, I have limited myself to only Wal-Mart (at times), Target and CVS (my all time favorite). I only look at 3 coupon sites that I check on a regular basis and if I don’t get that weeks coupons, I don’t stress over it. This past week with the Target coupon spend $50 get $20 off, boy did I stock up on trash bags, cleaning supplies and Tide, which was on clearance for only $5.15 a bottle. I needed these items and it was the best timing. I enjoy the rush of using coupons and the trill of walking out of a store only paying tax. I have slowed down over the past couple of years and now really enjoy looking for deals and using my coupons. I’ll never stop using coupons and helping others. It’s truly a gift!

Right now my daughter is getting a cello lesson at the house, usually we go to the teachers. My coupon “hoard” is in our office, not hiding cause there is nowhere else to put it, but you have to go through that to get to the bathroom. I am terrified she will have to go! lol

    • Pam

When we started couponing several years ago we built our stockpile. It was amazing at what we were able to share with family and donate and still have plenty of supplies for my family. We were then struck with tragedy and lost my youngest daughter, my #1 coupon cheerleader. My stockpile enabled me to be ready for the influx of family and the aftermath. For months we were on survival mode and couponing and shopping for the last things I wanted to do. Having that supply on hand has provided our family through tragedy, medical setbacks, kids going back and forth to college and still enabled us to bless others with our supply in their times of need. We said at the beginning we would never hoard but donate or bless others when our “stash” overtook any area. Sometimes it’s great to go through an area once every few months and say “What can I give, what am I not using, who can use something I have?”

      • steph

Twice a year sometimes 3 times depending on schedules and such we go through everything and pull out items to donate that we have excess of or have tried previously and bought more than one but end up not liking. Food, toiletries, almost everything. Plus we arrange by the exp. date at the same time. Also, we make goodwill donation boxes up for things we don’t want anymore. I love doing this because one we are helping people in need and also it keeps things straightened and organized. Doing it several times a year also makes it not so time consuming to where it takes a whole weekend. And if there are freebies out there that I know we don’t use I get them anyway since we always have a box for that going all the time.

      • Rebe

I am so sorry for your loss Pam.

      • Suzanne

Pam, I too am very sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter…Sending positive thoughts.

    • Dawn

YES!! I have not gone out coupon shopping for about a year and a half now. I had so much stuff I didn’t know what to do with it, I just knew I had to stop adding to it. I even donated a lot of it and give it away to my sister and mom on a regular basis. After a year and a half I am finally getting down to where I can go shopping again, but know I need to slow it down, I used to buy every good deal there was, now I will just have to go for the ones I truly need to get. But it is nice to not have to worry about any of that stuff.

Can I use an enfamil manufacturer coupon and check at cvs? Please help me anyone! TIA

    • jojo

you can use either manufacturer coupon or check…

      • Mayra

        Thanks Jojo!

  16. Andrew

For the Hershey 6pack on sale $3/3, can you buy just 2 and get each for the $1 price or must you buy 3 in order to get each pack for $1?

    • mel

You can buy 1 for $1 or all 3 for $3. cvs is not like walgreens or rite aid, where you
-have- to buy 3 to get the sale price.

      • Andrew

Ok. Sounds good. I plan to buy two of them and then use that $1/2 6 pack coupon. I hope the cashier doesn’t use a magnifying glass because if you look reallllly carefully, the picture is of the full size bars.

        • Lori

Andrew, That is called coupon fraud and we seriously look down on that because it’s illegal and companies have already lessend the value of their coupons, making us buy 2 items to save $1.00.

          • kadi

Wouldn’t it only be fraud if it specifically indicated a size in the language? Coupons often are good for a variety of things other than what is specifically in the picture so we look to language to clarify that. This isn’t feeling at all wrong to me.

            • mel

Kadi, I agree. The coupon says its off ANY 2 6-pks and there is NO size listed on the coupon. Doesn’t matter what the picture shows, as long as you go by the wording, then it is not fraud!

  17. Jefferson Walker

Where is the 2/1 colgate mw???

  18. Linda

Thanks Collin- CVS is my favorite store to shop other than Harris Teeter.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      🙂

  19. cass

if you have too much donate some!! Share the wealth. A lot of people can use the help right now. You could even anon. leave a bag on a doorstep of a family in need!!

  20. Cyndi Hall

i got a question. when buying the huggies diapers is it spend 30 on any huggies so i can buy the big box or is it only on the 899 bags.

  21. Pam

Trying to click on several coupons to print brings up a clicking sound and little icon. One is the Almay. Don’t know what that is?

    • Pam

Problem solved. I had from another site. I had to hold down the CTRL button when I clicked it to allow the pop-up. Don’t know why this time. But glad I got it resolved so I could print the coupons.

  22. Jenna G

Sad double sided single flyer for me in South Central Mass.
    NO Nature Made Vita-melts 50-60ct or Gummies 80-90ct $5.99 = $4 Ecb
NO Buy 2 Almay intense i-color shadow, liner, or mascara $5.99 = $6 Ecb
NO Buy 2 Triaminic Night Time or Day Time liquid 4oz $4.99 = $3 Ecb
NO Spend $10 on Pepperidge Farm Goldfish, Campbell’s, Pace, Prego = $3 Ecb
NO Yardley bar soap 4.25oz $0.69
Bummer as I’ve had coupons ready to go for a week on these “I use” items!

    • Andrea

same here in north east PA

    • Andrea

However, I just checked online and “my weekly ad” for my specific store has more listed than the single page has including the almay and Pepperidge farm.

    • Ally

I had the single flyer ad too…didnt say anything about almay on it…but i still got the ECBs. The ad only featured some of the deals for the week

      • Jenna G

        Thanks! I off to CVS.

    • Pam

I hear you! We repeatedly miss coupons after coupons in our Ohio area. Almost none of the coupons I need are ever in our local papers.

  23. Lori Schofield

Collin If you go to this site https://scopemouthwash.com/scope-coupons/rebate/Dec2013/14_CST_Scope_Rebate_Scope.pdf
You can print out a rebate for the Scope Outlast for $4.49 to increase your savings. Also go to https://www.burtsbees.com/Body-Moisturizers/bodyMoisturizers,default,sc.html?cm_sp=HPD2-_-BodyLotion-_-030314
You get to print off two $1.50 off Burt’s Bees Lotion coupons. No size limit. I used them at CVS on two trial size foot creams. Final cost $1.00 each. I am using them as fillers on adult easter baskets.

    • Jennifer

      Lori,
Where did you find the trial size Burt’s Bees foot creams? I want to take advantage of this price for Easter baskets too. Please share I’ve got the qs printed. Thanks for the link.

  24. Sarah Jones

With the P&G Rebate, it is after coupons, but how do you (or they) know the final price? It usually doesn’t specify what coupons are for on receipt and I don’t want to do a ton of different transactions but at the same time I don’t want to take the time to submit a rebate and find out there wasn’t enough? Do you have to consider things like ECB or CVS coupons too? This seems like more trouble than it’s worth but I love saving money. Thoughts?

    • jacki

      I have the same question.

  25. ann

I think the irish spring deal may be more than one per card. At the bottom of my receipt it printed 3 more needed for deal.

  26. Michelle

I cant find the huggies coupons that were supposed to be in the 2/23 ss. has anyone found them?

  27. nin

Did anyone do the SUAVE deal with the lotion, like the Moroccan Infusion?
Does it work? I know it says above “if included”?
Just wondering before I go out and try it tomorrow.

    • nin

Or Natural Infusions (the $1.50 IC) working?

      • amiko

yes, they’re both included in my store, natural infusion and moroccan lotion (small one)
make sure to scan the price at the kiosk before heading to the register.
        goodluck!

  28. nin

Is the $3 NM Adult Gummies coupon in the 3-9 SS regional? Not seeing it in mine:(

    • Meli

Yep, regional. I didn’t get it in my paper either.

  29. tina

i just purchased the Almay cosmetics and the deal didn’t match this one. They were BOGO 1/2 off and the ECB was only $4 not $6.

  30. tina

forget it…i just figured out what happened. My local cvs didn’t have the almay intense sale listed in the flyer, just the BOGO and I went with that. My mistake.

  31. Edy

The Irish spring limit is 5 times buy 3/9 get 3 bucks until 3/14. And tressemme and clear shampoo buy 15 get 5 bucks until 3/14 limit is 90 dlrs on this one limit 6 times. Thanks to everyone

  32. Amy Stotts

I was working on a scenario for st. ives earlier today and I’m not sure if this is correct or not. Please tell me if I’m mistaken.

    Buy 2 facial scrubs 4.99 ea at my store= 9.98- bogo1/2= $5.49 for 2
    Buy 2 fresh hydration lotions 5.99 ea, I think=11.98-
bogo 1/2 (the 4.99 would be the ones that were 1/2)
    Total= 16.97
    – 3.75/$12 IP
    -(2) $2/1 lotion IP=9.22
    Get $3.75 Savingstar
    So, 5.47 for all 4

    • mel

The Fresh Hydration lotions are $7.99 at my store!

  33. DanniLynn

If you are doing the Bengay deal this week…don’t forget to submit your receipt for the promotion they have going on… here’s the link!https://www.bengayrewards.com/

  34. Janice

Pam – I just wanted to say thank you for sharing such a personal story about the passing of your daughter – and how your stockpiles helped you get through a really rough time in your life…

    • Rebe

      Yeah, it touched me too

  35. Erin

I want to do the Maybelline deal if you spend $10 you get $3ECB. My question is: if I buy 4 items that are $4.99 each, will the ECB print? Or do I have to add another item?

    • mel

4 items @ $4.99 is $14.97, and well over the $10 needed for the deal, so the ECB will definitely print. Unless you meant 2 items? Even at $9.98, the ECB will print, b/c on these types of spend deals, the minimum you need to purchase is 98% of $10. the only time the ecb will not print at 98% is one of those spend “this” amount or spend “that” amount, which is referred to as a “tiered deal”, and this maybelline is a straight spend deal, so you won’t have any problems with the ECB printing.

  36. Jenn

I was wondering if anyone could clarify-

When a CVS % off coupon is used, does it effect an ECB print out? For example, this week Sally Hansen’s deal is spend $10, get 4 ECB. If I buy $10 of regular priced items and then use my 20% off CVS coupon, will I get the ECB? Or would my pre-CVS coupon total need to be $12.50 to generate the 4 ECB? Last question, when does that 20% come off? I know it’s regular priced items, but is it after manufacture coups, CVS coups, ECB or a certain combo of those? I’ve been doing the math & can’t get to the same amount they deducted.

    Thank you for the help!

    • mel

The % off does not have a bearing on spend deals, as its calculated after as a total discount coupon. But it is calculated after you give any cvs “store” coupons. Like sometimes coupons that print from the MCM will ring as a CVS Coupon, and that will affect how the % off is calculated. Like I got one the other day for $2 off 2 Hand Lotions. I wasn’t sure if it was going to ring up as a CVS Coupon or CVS Manuf Coupon. So when I made my purchase the other day, it rand as a CVS coupon, and reduced my % off. So if you have, say $20 in non-sale items, the 20% will take off $4. BUT once the register recognizes CVS coupons, it will recalculate. So in my example using the $2 off, now the register will calculate 20% off $18, making the discount $3.60. Also, certain bucks are cvs coupons, and those are the ones you earn from the beauty club, pharmacy & quarterly. So those will also reduce the % off.
Sometimes even after I deduct cvs coupons on my receipt, I can’t come up with the exact % off. I guess sometimes they prorate items, and it’s hard to get the exact number!!

      Hope that helps!

      • Jenn

Mel, thank you for taking the time to respond! That is a big help. You confirmed what I was thinking. I like to be prepared at checkout and that % off coupon just rattles my brain at checkout & the coupon policy doesn’t go into it. I love the extra discount though!

        Thanks again.

  37. Charlotte's Mom

Does the 98% rule not apply at Walgreens? I just bought $19.98 worth of Eucerin products and my $10 RR did not print.

    • Avi

      No it doesnt apply

  38. Alli

Last night I tried to get the Suave deal at CVS. (2) 18oz lotions, (1) deep conditioner shine mask treatment (which is included at my store and I have a $2 off coupon for it) and (1) keratin shampoo. I had 2 $1.50 off suave lotion coupons. 1 $2 off suave styler treatment. And 1 $1.50 off shampoo/conditioner coupon. And 1 CVS $1 off $5 purchase of lotion. I tried the coupons in every order and the manager could not figure it out. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution? Should I break the order up into 2 transactions? And, if so will I still get my ECB’s after the second transaction? My CVS coupon is expiring tonight! Please help!

  39. Brenda

Are the cvs coupons before or after coupons are used? I have a $3/$10 makeup cvs coupon, would like to use it with the Almay eye make up deal.

  40. Money saver

I am just starting and get so lost between coupons and coupons. So happy for those of you that have established a large supply of goods that you do not need to spend hours a day looking for deals. Any hints?
