Here’s another upcoming Lowe’s Kids Clinic that sounds like fun! On Saturday, April 12th, at 10AM, head on into Lowe’s where kids can build a FREE Recycling Truck! Be sure to register your kiddos now as spots tend to fill up quickly! If you’ve never attended one of these free Kid’s Clinics, check out my previous experience here.

And if you have a Home Depot nearby, you may want to sign up for the FREE Kids Workshop on April 5th where kids can build a Birdbath/Birdfeeder from the new Fox animated film, “Rio 2”, coming in April 2014. These workshops are designed for ages 5-12 and are offered the 1st Saturday at all The Home Depot stores between 9AM-12PM.

    Thanks, for the reminder! 🙂

Would my 3.5 year old do OK with this? (If his dad helped him?)

    • Anna

I think so! My three year old daughter had no problem (with help, of course).

My husband brings my 3.5 year old twins all of the time 🙂

Yes. We started my older son when he turned 3 (he’s 4 now) and now bring my 2 year old along. Hubby and I do the building and let the kids help hammer the nails.

Just took my 3.5 year old daughter to the bird house clinic and she LOVED it!

It’s totally fine! I have a 2 and 4 year old. And they love going to the Lowes and Home Depot for the projects. My 2 year old just likes to put the nails into the holds and trys to hammer. Just watch your fingers. 🙂

Ashlie: yes, definitely. We take our boys (ages 4 and 22 months)and they both do it. We have to help, but they love it. The 22 month old participates because he wants to do everything his big brother does. Plus we are able to avoid the inevitable disagreement about why little brother is playing with big brothers toy.

Thank you so much for posting these reminders. My daughters lived building birdhouses!
