I have this product and I don’t recommend it. The camera won’t work with the case. The notches are not exactly the right size. The case blocks some of the volume. My Kindle won’t go to sleep and wake-up automatically like it says it is supposed to. You will have to view your screen “upside down”…the camera button will then be at the bottom and your on/off is now on the right side and the volume is now on your left. I don’t have very many apps but I wonder if the viewing upside down will hinder the use of them. And sorry, wish I could like this product since it was inexpensive.
Thanks for the feedback. I have a case already, but thought this would be good as a backup. My primary reason for wanting a case is so that I can toss my kindle in my purse and it won’t get beat up. Sounds like this case will do just that. I’m glad to know that I will manually have to turn it off as not to drain the battery.
Micki, which case do you have? And, do you recommend it? I need a case where the camera will function with the case on. I dont want to keep taking it out.
Sorry. Just saw your post. I got my cases today, and they fit my Kindle 8.9 HDX perfectly – camera works, goes to sleep/wakes up, etc. I wonder if you were sent the wrong case, and it was mislabeled? The case that I have been using is the Fintie Amazon All-New Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 Slim Fit Folio Case Cover with Auto Wake / Sleep Feature – Purple (will only fit Kindle Fire HDX 8.9″ 2013 Model). I paid $14.99 a month ago – still a good price and they have many colors from which to choose.
