off subject, just a reminder, if anyone still have the free 12 pack coke coupons from mycoke rewards from the holidays, don’t forget they expire at the end of this month.

    • Vergin

      Thank you, I almost forgot

What does Mexican coke taste like

    • jessika

It’s amazing:) pure sugar, no high fructose. You can taste the difference.

      • misty

So there was an article I had read saying they were going to go to fructose in the Mexican coke recipe…. I hope enough people complained that they won’t change it… So keep an eye out on it!

  3. Megan

Mexican coke tastes amazing πŸ™‚ it’s so much better than regular bottles of Coke.

  4. Vickie

Why do they call it Mexican Coke? Do they not use high fructose corn syrup in Mexico? Is that stuff only an American thing?

    • ihearthip

      on the whole yes

Is it worth to shop now at sam’s club with all these “instant savings”? Or it is still cheaper to buy with coupons at t ex Target?

    • eyez

Len, me personally i don’t buy everything at Sam’s because some things I can find at Target(love that store) much cheaper after sales, coupons and cartwheel.

  6. Jackie

Dial also on Sam’s coupon and Ibotta

Off topic but I’m curious what do other folks buy at Sam’s Club? I’m a fairly new member (I bought my membership through Groupon) and am not using it very much. It just seems kind of expensive compared to what I get elsewhere with coupons. I have heard good things about Sam’s brand diapers but I usually get target brand for super-cheap. What else is good there?

    • jessika

I never get personal products can get these way cheap(target). I usually buy fruit& veggies there. They’re always good. Bread deals are good, cheese and lunch meat. I buy all my canned goods there. I purchase big cans of corn/green beans for around $2.50 I drain them bag&freeze. Saves lots of money. Some things aren’t a great deal, but if you prefer quick savings with out coupons, price match, cartwheel this is your place. Good luck hope this helped:)

I buy trash bags, softener salt, gallon size Windex and floor cleaner, Swiffer refills, Sam’s brand water, Cod, Salmon (individually wrapped and frozen), milk, ham slices for sandwiches, 5 lb bags of salted peanuts in shells, just to name normal purchases. When I do go to Sam’s I go early to catch the early morning meat deals that are marked down from not being sold the day before. Always look for items ending in .01 Those are clearance. You really have to look because clearance items aren’t advertised and those are the best deals ever! πŸ™‚

    • Alison

Wow, thanks for the tips! I don’t think I’ve ever checked out their lunch meat. And we love fish. I have some new things to look for next time I’m there! 😊

Sam’s club has THE best rotisserie chicken I’ve ever tasted. They are usually a little larger than the grocery store chicken and always fresh because they are cooked so often during the day. And at my Sam’s they are $4.88 so that makes them cheaper than the grocery store. I buy 3 or 4 and freeze the extra whole chickens or just the meat to cook with. So between the chicken and buying gas at Sam’s, my membership is a plus for me. All Sam’s don’t have gas pumps so that might not work for some people.

      • jessika

I just tried the chicken last night! Yummy was a big hit! Going to buy more shred and freeze πŸ™‚

I always buy milk and cheese products there because I find them to be cheaper than grocery stores. Some produce items are cheaper, like lettuce, carrots, potatoes and others, but most fruits are about the same price as local groceries. You can get good deals on meat (especially reduced for quick sale in the mornings) and I divide and freeze meal size portions. Some frozen items are a much better deal than groceries. Some cereals are also a good deal. The instant savings deals have saved me quite a bit also. You do have to be aware of pricing at grocery stores/Target, though, because some items can be more expensive to buy at Sams. Other items are about the same price, but if it’s something you use often or a lot of, then the larger quantity works well.

For the baby, I love their wipes and Gerber Puff 6 packs. You might be able to find these items cheaper with coupons somewhere else, but if you don’t want to mess with those sometimes, I would definitely get them at Sam’s. We also love their chicken (as others have mentioned) and my husband always buys his protein bars there.

We shop at Costco and SAMs club. Sometimes the products vary. We are brand loyal with peanut butter and sometimes Costco will have skippy peanut butter but not SAMs. Or vise versa. Between the two stores We purchase things like: lunch meat, cheese, milk (always cheaper than the grocery stores from what I’ve found), Gatorade, fresh fruit- we go through it fast, olive oil, minced garlic(yes the giant tub of it), ground beef, paper towels, toilet paper, vitamins, allergy pills, bread, chicken broth, wine, beer, butter, and various other things. My parents purchased their eye glasses through Costco and they were the cheapest price they had seen in a while. For years I got contacts at SAMs and they always gave me travel contact solution for free if I asked. Good membership incentives too. Recently our family has favored Costco over SAMs because they have offered us more from what we have found. If you want wrapping paper to last for years- go to either place at Christmas time. Lol πŸ™‚ hope this helps!

I have gotten to where I buy almost everything there. I find I am saving so much on time and gas that it just makes sense. I can make one trip weekly or bi weekly and we are good. Plus I have been trying to do more “clean eating” cooking for my family – I can get meat cheese, fresh produce at such a great price. I avoid the frozen meals and canned goods, packaged stuff. I might save a little more with coupons at other stores but for now this works for me. I don’t have to hunt for coupons and clip and try to get out to different stores during the week.

        • ihearthip

Oh and I would like to add I love their clothing dept! I find great deals for the whole family there.

Does anybody know of a current or upcoming deal on a Sam’s membership? Mine has expired (I signed up for the Living Social or Groupon deal posted here last year) and I’m trying to hold out!!! πŸ™‚

  9. Queenjen87

I let my SAMs membership expire and they sent me a 2 mo pass. Nice.

    • Miranda

How long ago did yours expire?
