Check out a few positive reviews on Amazon:

This “toy” is the real thing. My daughter asked for it when she saw it over Christmas in a boutique. I ordered it from Amazon because it was significantly cheaper. The toy does not disappoint, all of the tools are real, but sized down to fit a child. The bag is cute and sturdy enough to use in a real garden. This is my daughter’s second set of gardening tools. Her first, was more expensive and purchased at a home improvement gardening center, but they were plastic and too difficult for her to use.

I purchased this garden tool kit and tote for a 6 year old who loves to work in the yard. It is sometimes hard to judge the quality of a product without seeing it. This one did not disappoint me. The tools were constructed of wood and metal, and the tote was made of sturdy canvas with cute bugs stamped on the side. I added a pair of garden gloves and some seed packets in the the tote to make a really cute gift.

My son loves anything to do with tools, and it is so nice for him to have his own gardening tools to help mom and dad outside. The bag actually goes anywhere with him. The bag is thick canvas and the stitching has held up nice for the 9 months or so that we’ve had this. The tools have wooden handles and nicely painted blades and these have also withstood hours of digging and exposure to sun and rain.

I am thinking I could go to the dollar store and put a similar set together for a few bucks.

Sandy, I was just thinking the same thing! 🙂

Looking for opinions – I’m considering this for my son, but worried it is too childish- He just turned 9 and we are growing our first “real” garden this year and he’s really in to helping. This looks cute but do you think it’s too young for a 9 year old boy?? I was thinking of it for an Easter gift, so didn’t want to just ask him. Does anyone know of a better set for older kids or do you have kids that age that would use this?? Thanks!!

I just saw some garden sets at Walmart that look similar to these near all the Easter stuff and I think they were $9. Anyone else see those?

These look like they would last for a long time with the wooden handle not plastic.

Yes, I purchased a set for $7 last year at KMart made of plastic and broke pretty quickly. I am hoping this set will be longer lasting. Plus points and a $1 gift card got me this for free. =)

Any recommendations for kids’ gardening gloves? We’re going to plant seeds and there’s no way my boys (age 4 & 5) are using tools 😉 they’re going to get as dirty as possible! I want them to last but I’m mostly worried about the fit.

I just bought these to include in a silent auction basket of outdoor items for kids. The tools are very high quality and look like they will last for a long time. The tote is really high quality as well. This is definitely much better than what you would find at the dollar store! I was so impressed with them when they arrived, I ordered a second bag for my kids!
