I got a coupon in my email today for $10 off $30!

    • eyez1998

      I received the coupon also

  2. Corrine

What if you are doing carry out in the first place? Do you get 2 meals for one then?

    • Dawn

Yes, curious about take-out? With 5 kids under 12 (and a baby), we rarely go out to eat. Too expensive, too crazy. Would much rather eat at home.

      • Kelly

        Same price for takeout

    • Alv

      Thank you for sharing.

    • Minnie

      Thanks Victoria.

    • Erica

Thanks for the coupon! I read the fine print and found it odd that it excludes children’s menu items… so I’m guessing that means that if my husband and I go in for the buy one take one (equaling about $25) and then purchase a kids meal or two for the kids, that we couldn’t use the $10 off $30? I guess we could order them a regular meal to split but that still seems odd to me.

      • Victoria

You could probably just order a dessert or appetizer. Plus some of the entrees cost more than $12.99 (like the chicken or shrimp ones)

  3. Daisy

Would this work with the b1g1 half coupon too?

  4. Nik

You know a company is hurting when they offer a B1G1 plus a $10/$30 coupon. I don’t see them lasting much longer. Maybe a year or two.

    • Dawn

I don’t think they are hurting. It’s just a “slower” time of the year for them. No Valentine’s day or other “holidays” till graduations next month 🙂

      • Dawn

And pasta is so cheap, they are always making a nice profit on their dishes. Salad and bread is pretty cheap too.

        • Sonya

Why are you so excited to report their supposed failure?! Just be happy w/the coupons or move on if you’re not interested.

      • MJ

Darden (owner of OG) is hurting badly right now. They also own Red Lobster which is hurting badly as well. Red Lobster is actually predicted by financial analysts as going out of business soon.

    • Nikki

Just think Starbucks offers deals all the time and they are as popular as ever.

  5. Mary

Is it only for pastas dishes??

  6. joni

Dont think theyre hurting always really crowded at the one by me

    • Jennifer

I totally agree…both our Olive Garden and Red Lobster are ALWAYS packed. It is hard to believe they have any financial problems!

  7. Ayesha

Their food always reheats up greasy and nasty. Anyway to avoid this outcome??

    • JulianFaux

Ayesha, the meal you take home isn’t fully cooked so it shouldn’t reheat greasy at all. At least mine never does.

    • Jessica

I have the hardest time with the alfredo sauce but transferring it to an oven-safe container and heating in the oven helps a lot. Takes longer and is not as fast and easy as the microwave but it tastes better. Doesn’t heat up as greasy as it does in the microwave. At work, I have no choice but to microwave it. I check on it and stir it about every 30 seconds. That seems to help minimize the grease. I hope this helps and that you enjoy your meal!

    • Jenn

I usually get the alfredo in the restaurant because it separates once it is reheated. For my to-go meal I think the red sauces heat up best (lasagna etc).

  8. Holly

Maggianos has the same deal…buy 1 of their signature pasta dishes get 1 free to go. The prices start around $12.

  9. Alyssa

Does anyone know if this can be combined with the B1G1 50% off coupon that was posted last week? So you would pay for 1.5 dishes and get 4?

  10. Kathy

Is there a limit to the BOGOF? Can we buy 2 entrees and take 2 home?

    • JulianFaux

Kathy there shouldn’t be a limit as it’s like purchasing a regular entree, you just get a second for each to take home for dinner the next day! HTH

      • Kathy

        thank you.

  11. Tina

In the fine print of the coupon it says that it can’t be combined with any other offer, so I’m wondering if Olive Garden will let me use it with the buy one take one deal.

    • Erica

I was wondering about the same thing. Maybe if someone tries, they can report back. We are hoping to go this week sometime even if it doesn’t work because we have a $10 gift card that would pair nicely with the $10 off $30.

  12. AMY

Tina I was wondering the same thing. Fine print on coupon says cannot be combined with any other offer.

  13. Lisa

Do you get to pick the 2nd meal that you take home or is it te same as the one you eat there? Thanks!

    • Emily

You get to pick the meal. There are only a few that qualify for the deal, and you can choose one to eat there and one to take home. They don’t have to be the same. you don’t get salad and breadsticks for your to-go meal though, just the entree. And, if you’re like me, you fill up on salad/breadsticks while you are there and end up taking nearly two full entrees home!

      • Tia

Our store slips in 2 breadsticks for each take-home meal. Nice little bonus.

        • Kelly

          Yummy gmo’s

  14. Laur

Can anyone else not see the coupon?

  15. Edna mclaughlin

I just wanted to say I like the idea buy one and take one home!!!! L love olive garden on Erie Blvd the waitess we have is great thanks again

  16. Brandi

Someone asked on Olive Garden Facebook and was told u can use the coupon for BOGO whoop woop!

  17. Lorri Rea

Can you use the buy one take one home offer on to go orders..?

  18. Chuck

Kind of deceiving on the buy one take home special. Read the fine print.
I went to my local Olive Garden today after seeing the ad for the special online Starting at $12.99.
When I got there I noticed on the Special Menu it was $13.99, price depends on location.
For that price you only get to choose from either Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Or 5 cheese Zitti. All other options are an additional $1+ charge.
But you do get the all you can eat Salad and Bread.
So I ordered the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. When I was done I ordered the Zitti to go. But it doesn’t come with Bread or Salad to go, which i thought I was getting also.
You do get the free 1 movie Redbox, but the waiter said nothing about it at checkout and it wasn’t till I was home that I realized I didn’t get any info about the free movie. I called OG and they told me I had to text a Redbox number then I would get the code for the free movie. Went to redbox with my free movie code and it didn’t work.
Gotta call RB tomorrow to figure whats going on.
I should have just spent my $20 on a T-bone instead of Pasta and Salad.

  19. Randal Arnold

Why would I pay $12 bucks or more for a plate of pasta and sauce to eat at home when I can cook it up myself for about $1 or 2 bucks at home the next day…GEZZ I MEAN, how good can it really be?

  20. Karen Applegate

My husband, son and I had dinner at Olive Garden for our sons birthday. We all three order an entree from the buy one get one free menu however the waiter did NOT inform us that this deal was going on!! This was only two weeks ago!! I think that the waiter should have told us!!!! What kind of service is that? I saw the commercial on tv and was so disappointed that it was never mentioned to us!

    Karen Applegate

  21. kenia

I love olive garden they have really good food ,the costumer service is profesional good nice ,

  22. Michael Nelson

    todays our anniversary limited budget

  23. Zachary

I did the up charge of $3 for the shrimp dish. But what I didn’t know, until getting the bill, was the up charge was on both meals. So the up charge was actually $6. I tried to explain that the take out want actually free.
