Can i use this in clearance items?
I just opened the coupon and read the fine print. I don’t see an exclusion of clearance items listed.

I work for payless. corporate sent out a memo to all locations that we can no longer take coupons from retailmenot and other coupon sharing sites. It must have a barcode for us to scan. Just a heads up, I don’t want anyone frustrated once they present their coupon at the register.
Yes that is why you open the coupon. It is a Payless coupon. Retailmenot just finds and posts them.
The coupon has a barcode, and it doesn’t say “retailmenot” on it anywhere.
Am I the only one who can’t find the actual coupon? Where does it open from?
You have to click on In Store and it will show up.
Actually, for me it’s a pop up, so make sure that your pop ups aren’t disabled. When I click on Collins link, first the retailmenot site comes up and a few seconds later the coupon pops up.
There’s also a 40% off one regular priced item coupon for Payless Shoes on RetailMeNot that also expires 4/13. That one can be used in store or online!

I couldn’t use this coupon or the 40 off that I hit in an email from them. Both are only good on regularly priced items. Everything I bought was on sale : (
I was able to use it yesterday, got 5 pairs of sandals for $15.00 for my girls. I am pretty sure it scanned without any issues!
the coupon clearly states any purchase…does not have any exclusions to my knowledge
2 of my stores have a sign posted on the register that now says “Payless does not accept third party coupons”!!

I am an Assistant Manager at Payless and it is very frustrating to have to argue with customers and explain the coupon policy on a daily basis. What I always hear is “The other store took it” YES, because the other store disregards policies when it comes to TAKING YOUR MONEY. It’s not that WE don’t want to take it, it’s that Corporate sent us a memo that we’re NOT allowed to take ANY coupons from third-party websites. Even in the fine print of most of the coupons it says “Coupons cannot be obtained from the internet” WHAT is RetailMeNot? A WEBSITE ON THE INTERNET! The EASIEST way to avid these complications when you guys get shut down when you’re trying to use your RetailMeNot coupons is to SIMPLY SIGN UP FOR THE REWARDS program, it sends the coupons directly to your email and we will GLADLY accept them. We give you easy solutions, don’t make things more difficult than they already are. You don’t want to sign up, you say? Well then shuffle around your state looking for a Payless that will disregard the policy because you’d rather have a “my way or the highway” state of mind. When I am not at work, I am a customer as well, and I don’t go to other people’s jobs telling them how to do theirs, NO ONE likes that. We’re all human and a level of respect is crucial regardless of the person or situation.
