I just got glasses in for my daughter from ZenniOptical. The quality is very good for the price. I ordered a pair also from Coastal Contacts you recommended a week or so ago but I haven’t received those yet. The reason I ordered from ZenniOptical is because one of your readers recommended it in the comments section below that post. It’s $6.95 plus shipping for a whole pair of glasses with lots of styles to choose from. The other pair you posted about were even cheaper but ZenniOptical and had a great selection. I think I got 2 pair of glasses for around $20 from Coastal Contacts and this pair. Really great deals! Thanks so much! [/h2s_box]

Have been ordering from them for about five years. Started after my son who was 2 at the time) destroyed my pair of $200 glasses. Flat shipping rate for multiple pairs and tons of choices so you can order quite a few pairs to go with different outfits 😊. Awesome deals.

I cannot say enough good things about Zenni glasses! I’ve turned several family members and friends onto the site and have yet to hear of anyone having a bad experience.

  3. MG

I have ordered 3 glasses so far: one with transition (sunglasses), one plain, and one tinted. All great glasses.

I would really like to order some prescription sunglasses! Do I just ask my eye Dr for a copy of my latest eye exam & feed this info into the order form? TIA : )

    • hollyshangout

Yes Carketa! With my vision ins. I can choose for my ins $ to go towards all contacts, all glasses, or split it. I always choose contacts and buy my glasses from Zenni. Especially if my rx is going to change every year or two. I’ve been ordering from Zenni for 4 years now. They are amazing! I always sort by price and typically buy the 6.95 pairs. You can upload a picture of yourself and “try on” the glasses. It helps to know what they will look like on your face! You can also save your rx and not have to type it in each time. They are a great value, but rarely they have buy one or buy two get one free sale!

How does anyone get their eye doctor to provide your pupil distance??

        • hollyshangout

I’m sure you could just ask. I don’t remember having mine measured. I’ve just always gone with an average, 70. It tells you how to measure at home on their website. It’s mm pupil to pupil I believe. You’ll need someone to help.

        • Dianne

If your eye doctor is also the place where you normally get glasses from, they measure them for the PD but most just won’t put it on the prescription. Just have to ask them. Mine is 56 so you should measure your own because they do vary and Zenni’s glasses vary too, you can sort through PD on their site as well to find frames that are your PD type.

        • Roxy

Good question. I have had all my eye exams at those places at the mall like Vision Works. When my husband had his exam, we asked them to measure the distance for me as well and they did it for free, but recently even if you pay for an exam, they refuse to give you the PD. I assume they know you’ll go buy them some place else.

Before I knew the distance I tried to measure it myself at home with old glasses. I thought I got it right, but I didn’t. I ordered glasses from Coastal Contacts and after wearing them for months I realized something was wrong. They were making me dizzy when looking sideways and I figured it was because I had the wrong PD. Luckily, they allowed me to return the glasses.

Anyway, I think it’s important to have the right PD, so try to find a place that will measure it for you

There is a ruler you can print from their website and have a friend measure!

          • Nicole

The law requires them to offer your pd if requested. Just fyi. 🙂

      • Carketa

Awesome! Thanks for your help hollyshangout….I need to refresh my look 😉

  5. Amy

I ordered two pair and paid less than $40! Thrilled with my glasses!

  6. Kelly

I ordered two pairs a couple weeks ago too. But I have a question… My ears are uneven and I need to have the glasses adjusted and fitted to my face. Where can I go if I bought the glasses from Zenni?

  7. Cindy

My doctors office tried to deny me the info on my PD measurements, However I informed them that my records belong to me and that by law I am entitled to the records. They then gave me the info. Will not be going back to a doctor who acts in such a manner

    • Tilly

Thats probably wise. I hope you have better luck with your next doc!
