As most of you know, 9/16/12, was the start of the new Walgreens Balance Rewards Program! Even sweeter, on 5/5/13, they started a new point system in which you can redeem your points once you reach just 1,000 points. Please head here to read all about it.

I have a coupon that came out of the Walgreens machine when I made a purchase. It says Manufacture coupon but on the side is says Walgreens, Can this coupon be stacked with a printable manufacture coupon? I watched your newbie coupon but it didn’t mention it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
No, those type of manufacturer’s coupons that print out are true manufacturer’s coupons (not store coupons), so they cannot be stacked with an additional manufacturer coupon BUT they can be stacked with a store coupon. Hope that helps!
Roma, Keep in mind that Walmart will always take any competitors catalina (Walgreen’s machine) coupon. Pair the coupon with a roll back, clearance or everyday low price and it could make for a good deal.

Walmart will take competitors coupons only if they state the final price of the item. For example, they will take a Walgreens coupons that will let you get X-SHAMPOO for $2.99, but they will not take a Walgreens coupon that offers a dollar amount off X-SHAMPOO. The coupon, like the ad match policy, must state the final purchasing price of the item. Catalina’s from other stores are most likely manufacturers coupons though, which can be used at any store. Walgreens issues Catelina’s which are manufacturers coupons – you can see this by looking at the top of the coupon. If is says “manufacturers coupons” at the top you can use it anywhere, even if it has a store logo on it. If a coupon says something such as “target coupon” at the top, it can only be used at that store.
Did you guys see the facebook response from an employee at Walgreens put up in an answer to someones comment on poor customer service with coupons? She posted it on the hip2save facebook page wall. That Walgreens employee was so rude!

Saw it, very rude. I guess if any coupon beeps it’s because we are doing something fraudulent. I know the times I have shopped there coupons beeped when it needed to be adjusted down.

For the points booster is that $25 before or after coupons?
In the past, it has always been that you have to reach $25 after all STORE coupons. So FIRST make sure all of your Walgreens coupons have been scanned and you are still over $25, THEN give them the points booster coupon, THEN give them all of your manufacturer coupons. The Walgreens store coupons count against your total, but the manufacturer coupons don’t. I hope this makes sense! 🙂

RR’s are just manufacturer coupons, so as long as you were over $25 after any Walgreens store coupons, you can give them your points booster coupon, then manufacturer coupons and register rewards and you will be good! I have never had a problem with doing it in that order…store Q’s, points booster Q’s, manf. Q’s, then RR’s. 🙂

I went today and gave the cashier the bonus points coupon and she saw that I had manufacturers coupons in my hand and set that one aside and said, “This needs to be after all the coupons.” So I nicely said, “I think it is just after the store coupons.” So she said she would try it anyway and of course after everything it still worked. She acted surprised. So I would just say to be nice to the cashiers and say, “well can you try it anyway?” Many times, they don’t know. I also tried to have someone help me find the epsom lotion and she looked in the lotion section and then said they didn’t carry it. So I walked around the store until I found the section with epsom salt and then I found the lotion.

For everyday use, I only use NICE foil. If I need something a little stronger, I splurge on the heavy duty. The foil is on sale for this price frequently–I’ve never seen it lower. Try it and see what you think 🙂 You’ll be able to stock up again soon at this price if you like it.
Is it actually a good price for foil, in your experience? It works out to $7.12 for 200 square feet, and I’m trying to remember how much I paid at Target last time. I don’t think it was that much!

I found that out, too. I tried to use the “5” gum coupon, but it beeped. Since the ad says “Wrigley’s”, I thought Wrigley’s 5 gum would be okay, but apparently not!
My store was nice enough to price modify the gum since the coupon in the add wouldn’t work. It is a 15 count and produced by Wrigley.

I tried this today and the Walgreens April coupon did not work for cleansing towelettes even it was written as “makeup remover”….
That became ok because cashier adjusted the price. OK I was already worn out at this point…
My problem was $3/2 coupon… System did not take it and the cashier did not take it because she considered it was not cosmetic.
I SHOULD HAVE READ the coupon closely because it is stated “Excludes the makeup remover wipes 7 count and all trial sizes”…
The makeup remover wipes were 25 count and the coupon should have worked…
When I read that, it was too late.
I really was frustrated because walgreens coupon did not work and manufacture coupon did not work on the system!
Then cashier was very unhappy to adjust the price manually for walgreens coupon…
Both of them were clearly stated and products were matched completely.
But I did not read the manufacture coupon closely… It was my failed trip…

The same thing happened to me. The manager said the cashier could give me the Walgreen’s coupon but only once, not twice and I could not use the $3 coupon. I asked them nicely to just void the transaction. Took my coupons to a Walgreen’s down the street and the nice manager knew exactly the deal that I was trying to do, brought the correct items to the counter (it was really slow last night) and made sure it all rang up correctly for me. Guess which Walgreen’s I’ll be shopping at in the future? 🙂
It only worked on the 21 count wipes that were against the wall with the cosmetics. Collin did mention that in her deal description, but I couldn’t find them so the manager found them for me. They look almost exactly the same just 21 count instead of 25. Hope that helps!
So I’m not sure why but I purchased two of the patriot candles that are buy 1 get 1 free and I only paid 2.99 total for them both. These were the 18 oz size so should have been two for 9. At any rate, I’m pleased!

I feel your pain TexMix I went to do the same deal yesterday and the cashier wouldn’t let me use the coupon either so i told her i didn’t want them so she took them off. Also I bought the warhead jelly beans and i had the $2 off coupon and she wouldn’t use the april coupon book coupon because she said it would make them free. Then on top of all of that she forgot to take the wipes out of the bag so I had to take them back in. What a disaster!!! You could tell she was new she was younger and completely out of it. Im not really a fan of walgreens but I will go there for a deal once in a while.

Just purchased the Ban total refresh cloths, using the maufacturers coupon and got it free, as you mention in your listing- but all the varieties of this product had “Try me free” stickers on them. You go online and print out the rebate form, mail in with the UPC and original receipt. That makes it a $3.99 moneymaker! Better than free!

Hey guys I have some questions. So I did the Booster points promo, but I might have to exchange or return some items. Would the booster points be removed from my account if I did this? I think I probably only want to exchange, but I’m wondering if they’ll scan it as returning the item and then repurchasing the new one? I also always wonder if I were to return any items that I used coupons with, would I get the full return value of the item listed on the receipt or just the amount I paid without the coupon value? And if I paid for a purchase with points, do i get the points back if I return items? And last one: I know 18,000 points translates to $20 value, but would I only get that value if I were to redeem all the points, and not dollar by dollar? Any help would be great thanks!
