Excellent deal! My daughter is in the market to purchase a Chi straightener, but she has to wait until she gets paid next month. If you see Chi deals in the future, please post!

Thanks so much for posting! I’m in need of a new straighter. I’m ready some of the reviews– ek! Very mixed reviews (mainly regarding it stopped working after a few months).

      So many typos, sorry.

I had three Chis go out on me within a year and decided to try GHD. While they are more expensive, I still have my GHD after six years and have never had any issues.

      • Ashleyns814

I’m with you on the GHD! I looooove mine!

I’ve had my chi for 5 years and it’s still working fine. At first I thought I was having a problem with it not working, but I figured out that I needed to push the reset button on the cord.

Wow, this is a great deal. I am so on the fence about a new straightener though. I have had the one I have now for years – maybe 5? It is a generic chi from Sally’s. I always wonder if a chi will work better, esp. a new one. Does anyone know if this has a automatic shut off? I really want one that does.

    Don’t forget, 8% back from ebates! 🙂

My Chi is still going strong after 4 years. Love it! It is the best flat iron that I’ve ever had…awesome deal!

Chi switch manufactored and are not as good and the older ones….I agree GHD is the way to go…Mine works great..much better than the ones found in stores

I am on the look out for a new flat iron but it will not be a Chi. I’ve had my red Chi for about two years and it just decided to stop working. Very frustrating since my husband paid a ton for it (before he knew how to use coupon codes! Lol). Although I do have to add that my mom has an original black Chi that is about six years old and still works perfectly. Anyone have any suggestions for another brand???

Solia is the best!!!!! Long lasting, expensive, but best for longest lasting straight hair for days without frizz (even during rain/humidity), and super fast and easy to use. I’ve tried many top brands including chi but my all time keeper is solia.

I had bought one of the limited edition Chis from ulta and it stopped working a week later so I exchanged it. Then a week later the second one stopped working as well. When I brought that one back, the sales associate told me that for some reason all of the limited edition printed ones break or get returned. She advised me to get one of the red or black ones that they always have. I’ve now had my red one for 2 years with no issue. Not sure how accurate this information actually is, but it’s at least something to consider if anyone is looking to buy a chi from ulta.

You are right. I had a pink Chi that stopped working after 1 year. It would only work if I banged it repeatedly on the bathroom counter. I guess it annoyed my husband because he bought me a new one a week after we got married. He got the black one and it’s still going strong after nearly 5 years. Even my hair dresser (who works at Ulta) can’t stand the “limited edition” ones. She alway keeps a black one in her drawer for when the cute ones won’t work. Every Ulta employee has told me the same thing they told you.

Anybody knows of a good multi-voltage straightener? TIA!

  9. Sara Leonard Bonert

I have never owned a hair straightener, but after my last kiddo, my hair is a little wavy and was thinking about getting one. I don’t think I’ll use it very often. Are CHI’s really that much better, or can i go with a cheaper one?

Anyone tried this cheaper, but most popular one, on Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MA0QY2/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001MA0QY2&linkCode=as2&tag=wwwhip2saveco-20

    Thanks!

CHI is no longer making good straighteners. My first would worked for 6 years straight (until I dropped it one day). I’ve gone through 2 new chis since then that have both stopped working in less than a year.

    • Jeanette

I agree…my older chi worked great for about 8 yrs until I mistakenly used it over seas with the wrong voltage 🙁 The new CHIs dont work nearly as well. I’ve gone through 2 chis in a year and I have to go over section of hair multiple times bc it doesn’t heat up as well as my other one did. I do not reccomend these syraighteners

  11. Jen

    I love the Croc straightener!

    • amy

Mee toooo! I had chi before and then got the croc and will never go back to chi! Ive had it for almost 4 yrs now

  12. Janet

Paul Mitchell neuro smooth! A bit pricey but amazing!! I had a chi and never going back; less than a yr from purchasing it decided to die. Too expensive for it to die so soon.

  13. kait

I had a generic chi for years and recently bought a new straighter – a conair infinity pro. It was only 30 bucks and my hair has never looked sooo good.

  14. ulta gc?

Anyone has a $25 ulta gift card to trade for my $25 bath and body works gc?
