Is the picture above for sure what we will receive in the box?

    • Rebecca

No! I don’t recommend these boxes, I got the worst box for my 11 month old. It all went in the trash.

      • Sam

        What was in it?!!!

      • pumpkinspicey

Yea what was in it? We got the March box for my 14 month old and it was fantastic!

  2. Sam

Does it have to be for a new baby or can it be for a toddler?

    • rebecca

you choose age & gender, and items & colors are chosen with that in mind. the picture of the box in Collin’s post is an example, and would not be the same items as are in this month’s box.
my comment below (from rebecca) tells what i got last month. mine was for a 3-month-old boy. it was all age & gender appropriate for us.

      • Sam

        Thanks Rebecca!

i did this last time Collin posted about it. My impression was that this was a fun surprise to get for my new baby (he’s 3rd, so has gotten mostly hand-me-downs.) it was nice as a grab-bag, if you can afford a $9 gamble. not all of the products are things i would personally choose to purchase myself if i were out shopping, but everything was really cute, and nice quality. but that is what i expected before ordering.
i would say that YES, the items totalled up to be worth more than $9, for sure. i would not say that the items would be worth $29 to me, if i were paying full price.
fun variety: 2 diaper ointments, adorable plush rattle toy, adorable bib, flash cards. (i don’t remember if there was anything else.)
i recommend this if you like surprises, and if you won’t mind losing $9 in case you get items you don’t need.
nicely packaged, easy to cancel, good quality.

How do you cancel after you receive the first box?

    • rebecca

i used the website to cancel, there was a link somewhere on there to notify their customer service. it was no hassle. they had a short survey to see if i had been satisfied with my box, and i spent about 5 minutes filling that out.
they did not pressure me to stay, and did not call me or charge me any additional charges or anything after my intro box.

i did tell them that i might have stayed on for a month or two more if i felt like the items were worth $29, but that i only felt like i could afford a $9 gamble one-time.

    • Ashley

Lol I was considering canceling but then they offered to make it $15 rather than the $20 something normal price.. So I’m apparently gonna test it out for another month or so

  5. Laura

I agree I paid $9, but would have been upset if paying $29! I canceled after that month

Here is my referral link if anyone is interested in signing up. I have gotten citrus lane for over a year. I usually get them when they have deals and have never paid full so I’ve always found them worth the money. This is a great deal for 9 dollars just to try. Just cancel afterwards and wait for a good deal.

How often does H2S post this promo?

    • Montanna

Searching her site shows she’s posted about this company anywhere from every week to every 4 weeks. Most seem to be every 2, however.

We just got our box for 2.5 year old girl and it had a toy from Green Toys, a book with CD from Barefoot books, 2 cups from Green Eats, Mrs. Meyers dish soap and 1 free personalized greeting card offer from Treat… personally I feel like it was totally worth $9. I would love if you used my link so we could order another box with discount https://www.citruslane.com/invitedby/Alla.Twins.1191052

    • MamaX2

It is very easy to cancel on their website 🙂

My daughter has been receiving this citrus lane for over a year. I will admit some months were better than others. She absolutely loves getting her own special box in the mail every month. She has received a lot of good things. A bumble bee lunch box, organic play dough, books. Her favorite was the pink pan set for her little kitchen.

I just finished a 6 month subscription that I purchased at a discount on Plum District and I agree with others, it was worth it at the discount, but definitely not at full price. I could have bought several of the items at TJMaxx or Marshalls. It was fun to be surprised each month. I tried to cancel by e-mail, they did respond to my e-mail informing me that I needed to call to cancel. One of my boxes was exactly as Collin has pictured, with the exception that the Taggie toy was a football – my subscription was for a baby boy!

  11. Cara

I wouldn’t pay full price but they had a good deal on a 6 month subscription before Christmas that came with a $50 shop credit, and it’s been a fun thing to get for my second.
I can’t imagine throwing things away that come in the box! We have gotten beautiful Barefoot Books board books, a plan Toys car, a Haba pull toy, a cute sunhat, a Skip Hop plate,
    Etc
I think if you’re picky enough to throw away things like that then you shouldn’t subscribe to a surprise box service;)

  12. Ashley

I can not find the cancel link online. If any one knows where it is and can pot it that would be great! I found a customer service # if all else fails.

  13. Danielle R

I agree with other people who said it is not worth the full price, but for $9 it is worth it. It is really easy to cancel it. Just make sure that you cancel before the first of the month and after they ship your box.
I would greatly appreciate if you use my link https://www.citruslane.com/invitedby/citrus.lane.197152

Do you get your box ASAP? I move in 3 weeks!

    • Amy

Hi Sam. They mail the box 1-time a month. My April box just arrived in the mail yesterday. They send an email notifying you the box was mailed & provide a tracking #. You will know right before they mail the box because they will send an email reminder right before in case you want to add anything extra to your box. I hope this helps!

Hi. We did a initial one-time box to get an idea of the items and their quality. After that I stayed on their email list until they made had a great offer on a 6-mo subscription. You are able to call their 1-800 number & leave a voicemail to cancel orders. I did receive a call back that same day. I also utilized their email too, but that took a day or so for a response.

Please feel free to use my link: https://www.citruslane.com/invitedby/Amy.Campbell.1181437
    Thank you!!

We don’t recommend these boxes either…our trial box was ok for our partial investment, but I canceled on the website and they still charged me the following month. The box they shipped that time was not worth the $29. I got a wooden pull toy, a book, a container of hand wipes, and a container of bandaids. Horrible items in my opinion. I looked up all items for retail pricing and it barely came to $29. And none of the items were anything I would have bought in the first place!

  17. Nicola

I’m torn on this one due to the mixed reviews! Trying to decide if I should get one for my 4 month old daughter, and one for my 3 year old son. I know my son would love to receive a surprise box in the mail, and it would be fun to get little gifts for my new baby too, but I certainly don’t want to waste the money either. Just not sure on this one.

    • Ashley

Maybe just do the first month see what they send you and if you don’t like it cancel? I’m giving them another chance for next month because I expressed that I wanted to cancel so I’m getting next month for $15 opposed to the whole $29

  18. Ashley

My first box for my two year old boy was cute. A puzzle which he loved, band aids that I immediately threw in my car and natural wipes, natural play dough and I can’t remember anything else. This month he got 2 cups, a book w/ cd, a trial dish soap, a free card code for treat and a small green toy tools

  19. Krista

I received the same things for my 3.5 year old as another reviewer stated they received for their 2.5 year old. Yes, it was technically worth the $9, but certainly not worth $29, and really only 2 of the things were useful to my daughter. So, if you feel like taking a gamble to perhaps try something new, do it. If you just want to get some neat things for your little one, head to the store with your $9 and you can certainly get a better value. Really, though, the exact same items from my box are available on amazon for cheaper than $29, so it’s no great deal at the regular price. I was also really disappointed since the “sample box” shown on the website contains 8 items, all of which would have been nice for my child, and I received 1 toy, 1 book, 1 set of boring plastic tumblers… oh, and, I’m not sure I should even count the tiny sample of dish soap as well as a “free” greeting card offer from treat.com that I can’t even use because it’s only for new customers (I’m pretty sure all new customers get 1 free anyway).

  20. Gigi

I was offered a fantastic deal..a coupon for $29 off so this first box will be free. My big question is will it really be age appropriate for my 2yr old little girl? If it’s not, I can’t really complain because I didn’t have to pay anything and it’s pretty easy to cancel. I think I love surprises just as much a my LO so we can’t wait to see what arrives 🙂 I’ll make sure to post again when we receive it so that anyone who is questioning this as I am, can determine if they want to try it out as well!
