[h2s_box] In the paper today I received 6 coupons for free items at Harbor Freight. 3 coupons were on the back page of USA Weekend for a free 27 LED portable worklight ($5.99 value!), free multipurpose scissors ($4.99 value!), and a free 6 piece screwdriver set ($4.99 value!). Another 3 coupons were on their ad in the paper, worklight, scissors, and a 5.5 ft x 7.5 ft all-purpose weather resistant tarp ($6.99 value!). The ad stated that there are over 500 Harbor Freight stores nationwide so a lot of readers potentially received these! Limit one free gift coupon per customer per day. The coupons from their ad expire June 28, 2014, coupons from USA Weekend expire August 20, 2014.[/h2s_box]

i totally agree. it all depends on the store and the cashier. i have been to a HF where the cashier was rude and did NOT give me the free item even though I had the coupon and purchased another item. There is really nothing that you can do about it in the store if they say no.
Couldn’t you call corporate? These say no purchase necessary. If they didn’t want you to use them, why send them out?
I agree but I don’t like drama at the registers (especially when I have my very small kiddos with me) so I tend to just let it go. Its not a big deal to me.

It says on the coupon,one gift coupon per customer per day.But you could take someone along with you and get 2 of the 3 items in one trip.

Over the past few weeks there have been several free coupons from HF. I have seen tarps, gloves, multimeters, screwdrivers and the above things. Also the coupons are good until the beginning of June.

My mom, brother and I were running errands while I was home from college and we ran in and were able to get 3. One for each person
Hf has these all the time. My dad loves getting them and letting the grandkids play with them (flashlights)
There must have been a ton of people in UT getting them because the ones in our area say “with purchase”. They changed them a couple years back.
Interesting! I went to the Harbor Freight in Salt Lake City area and I just showed the coupon and was able to get a flashlight and scissors for free (they were strict about different days though, one coupon per person per day).
I take these into Orem’s HF all the time. In February there were 6 free items you could get with a coupon, no purchase necessary. One per customer per day, but I got lots of stuff! I took my 4 year old in with me And they would honor her as a customer too. I’m going to use these all week! Thanks!
If you can carry your own coupon and item to the register they will honor you as a customer. My 2 and 5 year old love to get their own free items everytime we go in. I keep these coupons on my purse and anytime were passing by we stop in to get free goodies.
Last couple years they required a purchase for these with a 20% off qpon. I would save them all year. At Christmas time, I would stand by register and get products from others who wanted 20% off. These flashlights I gave to non profit org for their gift drive
Now I will save qpons and get products at no purchase necessary. Alwats works. My chidren have flashlights. I have scissors, screwdriver set also. Sorry I didnt share this years ago.
My dad loves these coupons. He has a whole collection. He keeps them in his car and stops in any time he drives by. He counters the free items he gets all the time by purchasing things he needs here and there from Harbor Freight. He is a bolt and screw salesman so he always has projects going. They know him by name and are super cool about it.
They’ve had this for years. I’ve never actually redeemed these Qs, but I’d hesitate to keep posting about them regularly. When redemptions significantly increase, the terms change. We’ve seen it plenty of times before. Just a suggestion.
Totally agree with you that with increased redemptions these coupons will be no more! It will probably change to buy 1 get 1 50% off = not a deal.
We live 40 minutes at least from the closest store. Cashier was rude and it isn’t worth the hassle to mess with this. Unless… you live right down the street. I called corporate and they were not helpful either.
My store has been really nice, though I overheard them complaining about people trying to get more than one freebie a day and having to put stuff back. They said something that sounded like they should put up a sign saying April is Freebie Month, one per day.
I have gotten three things so far, 2 meters(had two different coupons), screwdriver set. Today I am going to get the tape measure.
I printed these coupons but they state with a purchase?? Very disappointed. Was looking forward to this deal for my brother in laws..
