Waldbaum’s has Seventh Generation products on sale this week. The 25oz dish detergent is on sale for $2.49. Coupons.com has a $1 coupon for it so it would make it $1.49 tax! 😀 Just wanted to share in case someone is interested.

No free reusable bag @ Target this year? Didn’t they always give one away in years past?

    • tina

They said they are not doing it this year…I always look forward to it because the coupon books make for great deals on the “green” products I buy 🙁

    • CW

Good point Mel- you are right! Their profit last quarter was way down so maybe they cancelled it?

    • MissiontoSave

I actually think is has to do with when the event usually falls. In the past, Target has done it the Sunday before Earth Day. Since this year that fell on Easter (and they were closed- Kudos), I think it was easy to just not do it. At least that is my theory. 😉

    • Nikki

They’ve also had a lot of complaints because the bags were so small. I dont understand why people complain about things that are free.

We <3 Earth Day!!!! I'm so excitied. We treat it as our Christmas, gifts and all! Gifts are gently used items from garage sales, of course! We spend all of April not buying a single "new" item. We can buy whatever we need (and some want!) used, but nothing from a store! We don't step foot in one all month. We eat from the pantry and freezer, using up the last of our garden stock from the previous year cleaning out for new garden stock!

    • Kelli

That is a fabulous idea, but what about things like milk or bread?

      • Em

We are vegan, so no milk. We buy wheat in bulk to fresh grind, and bake our own bread, so it’s something we only buy every 4-6 months. 🙂 The best part about a no spend challenge is you can tweek it a bit, if you need milk go and buy it but only buy it and force yourself not to check the clearance racks and such.
