Hi! I’m sort of new to couponing. I am only printing coupons online right now. Can anyone tell me if I see coupons should I print them right away or should I wait until I see a sale to print? I’m afraid they will go away if I don’t print but if I do they might expire. Please help!!! Also is it worth buying a newspaper every week? If so how many do you suggest I get? I have 6 people in my family 4 kids 6 and under and one on the way. They all have big appetites. Thank you in advance!
It is really a learning experience, no matter what advice you get! I printed everything that was suggested for every deal at every store when I first started. It is truly time-consuming to do it all. I wish I had couponed when my kids were in diapers, though, and focused on diapers and formula etc. If I were you, I would get a good, cheap b&w laser printer that you can buy generic toner cartridges for; that way you’re not eating up savings with printing costs. I don’t buy inserts but instead use a coupon clipping service to buy multiples of coupons I think I might use. I would love to buy inserts, but the shipping is expensive (unless you can go in with a few other people).

Also, it is a gamble to wait and a gamble to print internet coupons! Anymore, I don’t print unless I know I will be using it, or if I think it will run out ( you get a feel for some and others you just have to guess, and at the end of the month a lot of them go away). I have two computers, so sometimes I print two and wait to print two others from the other computer to extend the expiration date on them. I buy two papers a week (although I consider this more of an indulgence than necessity, because of the availability of coupon clipping services). If there are 3 or more inserts expected, I might buy 3 papers and if there is only 1 insert, I might not buy any papers. There are too many variables to give rock solid advice and sorry this is so long! Good luck!!!

I would concentrate on one grocery store, one drugstore and maybe either Walmart or Target (your preference). As you get more comfortable you can then add more if you want.
Your right. I think I’m overwhelming myself. It’s just so hard to miss out on good deals!
So much advice to give. First, depending on your area, check if you receive inserts. I just found out that I get an the inserts for free in a small ocregister paper they drop off in the neighborhood. They come wrapped in prastic wrap. Also, my library has a coupon drop off section. I usually browse through the inserts there when I see some. Lastly, when there is a hot clearance item, ask yourself if it would be worth your time if you didn’t find anything. I’ve wasted so much time hunting down or going to a store for one item. Most importantly is what a reasonable stock in your home is, getting your personal stock up prices, and getting to know your stores.
Couldn’t you also use 3 of the $0.75 target coupons?

Usually Target coupons are limited to one per person per transaction. If I buy multiples there I check out multiple times – but that wouldn’t work since this is a gift card deal.

On target coupons it states you can only use one per guest. I’ve accidentally used more than one before and it’s gone through, but he coupon states you can only use one.

I’ve heard about the library. I just haven’t tried yet. Thank you for your help. This can be overwhelming. Especially cause when I go out to get a deal I usually have at least three small kids in tow. So I really want it to be worth it. It is very fun to pay next to nothing for stuff we usually cannot afford.
U need to print them ryt away or else it will be gone..specially if its a good one..normally they expired 30 days..so u have plenty of time to wait..about buying papers I subscribe az star I’m from az..then if I like coupons that I know I need to stock up then I buy more insert..;) what state your from??

I use couponsthingsbydede dot com and buy individual coupons and the occasional insert. Shipping prices are cheap and she mails super fast.
There was actually a $2/1colgate mulitpack coupon available in last Sundays insert (9 days ago). So if you don’t have 2 computers use 2 printable and 1 insert coupon and you are good to go.
I just got back from my target. Deerfield beach FL. They rang up 5.74 and it did not prompt the cashier for a gift card.
No signage in the store either.
