I just compared the email I got about May’s Senior Discount day and the one for a previous month. You’re right – this month it says 20% off regularly priced merchandise. Doesn’t say its only off the Nice brand, though. But, still 🙁
I went to Walgreens on Tuesday specifically for my senior discount and the BOGO vitamins (which this time only applied to specific vitamins as the BOGO previously was for all the vitamins of the brand) I read the 20% off regular priced merchandise but “assuming” the normal senior discount would still apply to the rest of my purchase. The only discount I received was for the vitamins I purchased (not my normal brand) (but was still a good deal as it was BOGO) and nothing else. Everything else I purchased was “on sale” and therefore no discount (which I would not have purchased had I known I would not have received the discount). I too received the email but did not compare the “wording”. I find this “deceiving” on the part of Walgreens and will be writing corporate.
I ran to walgreens today 5/3 and got a smoking deal on sunscreen! It’s still ringing up $7.99 and B1G1 free! Plus they had $2 off 1 coupons on them! I got 2 for $3.50! The sales lady wouldn’t let me use 2 coupons for the free one! Still a great deal

Yes! Just let them know you have points to redeem at the checkout counter.
At the local wags, they will redeem points for $1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 etc. So you could use $10 in one transaction and $1 in another transaction, but you can’t redeem $11 in one transaction.
You can use them all at once. Just make sure you’re not using them on a purchase that you can earn points on. You won’t earn points on a purchase when you use points.

It worked. Make sure you get the Optic White Platinum 3.4 oz. It was near the top at my store and had no signage. I think reg price is $4.49 or $4.99? But did four sep trans (because my family is out of toohpaste), used four qs and got back $2.50 RR for each one. So free except for tax.
The Walgreen’s closest to me said they don’t cash in points in less than 5000 increments. Has anyone else ran into this?

I had a problem with the 5 gum 50 cent q. The q states only 1 q per transaction, so I couldn’t get the gum for free. Anyone else have this problem?

I was going to use the register rewards for another purchase in a separate transaction. If I buy two items and use one manufacturer coupon for $1/2 and the register reward will I also need a filler item since it is two items and two coupons?
Yes you will need a filler item. The $1/2 will attach to 2 items.
It is supposed to work this way, but the registers don’t read it correctly. You can buy 2 items, use 1 mfg coupon off 2 and you’ll be able to use a rr on the 2nd item.
It’s one physical coupon per item. So if you have 2 items, you can use a $1 off 2 and a RR.
Got a $3/2 purex in my rp, made for a pretty awesome purex deal with the BOGO.

I did this deal today….It is the first purchase that would be free. If you use the RR $2.50 with the combined $1.50/1 you will have to get a filler if not the $2.50 RR will not work. My second purchase for the toothpaste actually cost me $1.30.

My store had hang tag coupons on some of the banana boat sunscreen for two dollars off each. Combined that with a buy one get one free and get extra great deals. I paid about three dollars a bottle each.
Today at walgreens I tried to do the Colgate optic toothpaste deal. When I used the $1.50 coupon the RR did not print. I told the associate that it was a mistake and she said that I can’t use a coupon for the product and get the RR . I asked to speak to a manager and she said the same. Tried explaining that that was not correct but she insisted it was. Has anyone else heard this before?
This isn’t correct. It could be that the machine was down, (I always look for the green light on the Catalina machine), or it was the wrong size, or the register was off line… Etc. If it fits the ad specifications, go to either photo or cosmetics, (so you aren’t holding up a line), and ask for a manager. Show the manager the ad and explain that your TR didn’t print and ask them to try it on another register. If it fits the the specifications, They should do something for you even if it doesn’t print a second time.
I asked for the manager and she told me the same thing. I tried explaining to her that that wasn’t correct and she said the rules changed. So what ended up happening is she kept my coupon (said it’s already in system and she can’t give it back ) but she have me the coupon value in money. So now I will take that money and buy the product and end up better off anyways . Not wanting to cheat them but I tried explaining to her and even suggested she review the coupon policy but she wasn’t about to listen.
