On a greener note…insecticides have been link to the problem with bees and butterflies. .fyi…
In addition, lawn insecticides as well as fertilizers are beginning to be a known cause of cancer in basset hounds who are so low to the ground that they pick up these chemicals. I shudder to think about the effects on small children.
I too have a Basset Hound. And I’m always scared of the products that are around her. Even when we put seed and fertilizer down.
But I do want nice grass. lol

oh man – horrible product for the environment and your children…not to mention killing bees and potentially our food supply
How is this any different than having Terminix spray around the house for bugs? We have an ant problem every year and I am hoping this works in our garden area around the house to keep the ants out of the house. My children do not play in the garden area so hopefully they won’t be subjected to its chemicals.
We too have an ant problem in areas of are yard and are fearful of it spreading. Like you when we use these products we don’t use it where children will be playing. We’ve used eco-friendly products up to this point but I’m ready to give something else a try.
I’ve used this to try to get rid of the ants. Didn’t work. Still had ants.
That was back in the day when I didn’t have pets or small children.

Does diatomaceous earth kill fleas? We have a dachshund that picks up fleas from the back yard even though she’s only out periodically to do her business .
