We always go to the dollar tree for movie candy before heading off to the drive in or movies. When you have 6 kids every little but helps.
LOL! We always go to Target first because my son loves to get an Icee at the movies, so we get that, drinks, a bag of white popcorn (my fav!) and some candy. Then I arrange it all in my big “movie purse”! Save about $15!

Yay to Costco cake! My son had his birthday party last week. The local grocery store charges $52.99 for the same size cake – only $17.99 at my Costco! Everyone raved!

Also one more tip about Costco- we wanted a fireman cake and it’s not one of the choices. The person working said just write what you want and they have a whole catalog of “old designs” and will find it- sure enough, one adorable fireman cake!

The pregnancy & ovulation tests work. I bought a bunch while ttc #2 and took them after taking First Response pregnancy & ovulation tests (i was curious to see if they were accurate) and they showed positive at the same time as the others.
I was skeptical at first but after buying and taking 10 preg tests for dollar tree and seeing them all turn positive I was pretty sure they worked! lol

My local Dollar Tree in SW VA hates couponors 🙁
They wouldn’t let me use the firefly coupon to get free toothbrushes last time you posted about them. They said they were not pictured on the coupon so it wasn’t for that product . lol They were very unreasonable about it. This came from the store manager. I tried to show them that they were Firefly products.
No amount of talking was gonna change their mind. Now, I never enter there with a coupon ;(
This happened to me too at my local Dollar Tree in Cali! They told me that product indicated meant in the picture. I told her it said ANY product, but she refused. The funny thing was, she did scan it at my request and it wouldn’t take it…maybe they did that purposely at all Dollar Trees Waaaa!

My Dollar Tree has Hamburger Helper in various varieties. With the coupon currently available on coupons.com, you can therefore get it at DT for 50 cents a box. You can’t even buy store brand skillet meals for that price.

Just and FYI, my sister has bought the pregnancy tests from the dollar tree. She had false positive results. Some said yes and others said no.

Love your video! Couldn’t wait after the last one! My 13 yo said he probably wouldn’t wear a hat…unless his friends at the party started wearing them and they all started fooling around with them;) As for the Costco cakes I did LOVE them until they changed and only let you get chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. My fav was choc. with white frosting. I emailed them about this. I don’t understand why the change. Now I go to Meijer and get a cake half the size for a few dollars more but I get what I want…and I don’t blow the diet afterwards if you know what I mean!!! Have a great time!!!

I think it would be so fun to see a video of the behind the scenes things that go into Hip2Save—how you find deals, decide what to post etc all while being a wife and mama! “A day in the life of Collin”! I love your silly, crazy videos! My Dollar Tree had the mouthwash but instead I got the dental picks. One of my kids hates mint so these plain ones are great for him.

I know this sounds weird but I just read a story where a guy found a pregnancy test and as a joke used it. Well, it came out positive. He thought it was hilarious so he posted about it on a social network. Someone commented and told him he might want to get checked for cancer! I guess just as women’s HCG levels change when pregnant, men have a change too with testicular cancer. The man ended up having cancer. Crazy!
I remember hearing about a football player here at a university who had paid a woman to do a drug test for him (knowing he wouldn’t pass).. And it came back pregnant!!! LOL bet both he and she were surprised!
