OK, so before you start reading this post, please keep in mind that your mileage may vary BIG TIME on this deal depending on how your local Staples handles price matches… and likely also depending on the cashier/manager.

You can price match the iPad Mini at Staples for the $199 price (they are $279 at Staples) and they have a $20 off any tablet coupon that is available in the weekly ad and here! Making it a whopping $179!!! I’ll be doing this deal Sunday at Staples to earn my 5% back in rewards too! 😉

T, read your remark. If you actually promoted your sales people to match, your sales would sky rocket! Your sales would double, your store would stay open and the great customer service would be promoted all over social media and your store would be swamped.
We are advertising for $199 but we also have to follow company policy which clearly states. This is copied and pasted from our Price Match Policy FAQ
Another example: If you buy an item from us for $159 and you have a $30 coupon, the net price is $129. If another company’s price is $125, your price match would be $4 off our net price of $129. Dollars-off coupons will be proportionally deducted from the prices of items in your order.
If your nearby stores are doing it they will feel the repercussions quickly as apple markdowns are tracked daily by corporate. Not gonna lose my job and my 10+ year tenure so you can save $20, its just not worth it, sorry.

I just got the deal here in NJ . They were very nice at the staples here and the manager was their to approve the price match and coupon . And they delivered for free to my house . I am very happy about the deal and how nice they were. Thanks hip to save. Love u guys . Silvana from Jersey.

I just got this deal at Staples in Camarillo, CA. Initially my local Staples was going to order online, but they were out online so checked other stores for me. Didn’t let me use coupon for $20 off, but still a good deal for $199!! FYI, Best Buy will ONLY price match if they call and can prove another Target Store within 25 miles has the iPad in stock (which they didn’t). Frustrated at Best Buy–I told them Staples would price match, and they said “we don’t price-match a price-match.” I also tried Wal-Mart but they were out.
we called to see if they would honor the price match and the 20 off coupon, guy on phone said yes, no prob. other ppl had been there already for the deal, and then, we get there,stor in Delaware(NO TAX:) ) only one left(thank goodness) and they price matched it to 219.00 ?? and then used the coupon,to make it 199….My husband ? why we were told differently on phone, we were told, that this is how they were instructed to do it…We went ahead and got it anyway, but my hubby will be on the phone tomorrow…no point in arguing with someone, in store over the 20 dollars…I feel confidant that CS for staples’ will fix it / If not……we will shop elsewhere
They did not fix it, says the item was rung up correctly/ but I’m not happy, as price match should have been done correctly, then 20 coupon applied…was still a good deal, but I feel that A PRICE MATCH IS ONLY A PRICE MATCH, IF THEY CHARGE YOU THE SAME PRICE, if they don’t want to honor their coupon, fine, but don’t charge the item at 219…then apply the coupon…just price match it at the 199…It makes me feel like they are doing something incorrectly…no matter what the cs. says …does not help that I called ahead and asked and they said sure…no prob. but I get there and it’s a different story…

My store price matched to 219 then used $20 off coupon. Still a good deal.
Got this deal yesterday in MN. $199 price match, $20 coupon, $5 for having them tell me how much I could get in trade on my phone. I also got the apple care plan for 50% off and 20% off a case.
How did you get apple care for 50%? I wish that was offered to me, how can I ask for it? Thx

Just got mine today from Staples, one in silver, one in gray. Funny because they seem white and black to me. They price matched the Target add and also their $20 off on each one. I had to order it because they ran out in store, amd they arrived today. 👍👍
I tried to do this and Staples played a lot of games. First the manager told me they could not take the coupon because an ipad is not a tablet. I accepted this even though I knew that was ridiculous. My boyfriend was livid and contacted customer service who said that the coupon should have been accepted. When I went back to the store with the email print out of the correspondence and the screenshot of the website showing the ipad listed, they refused then saying that they couldn’t take the price match and the coupon. I called customer service and they said that it could be done on phone orders and that each store could honor the policy as they saw fit. So I returned the item with the intention of buying it over the phone. However, five minutes later when I called to buy it they told me that the company had sent out an email saying it was out of stock for phone purchases (which seems shady). I called 2 other Staples who said that the “system” would not allow them to enter the price match and the coupon together, it would have to be one or the other. Ultimately, I just wound up buying it from Target. I live in Philadelphia.
Also, this all happened days ago, so they could very well be out of stock by now.
Staples in Park Ridge NJ- manager was rude and belligerent that he would not match the Target price! I told him it is false advertising , as Staples has been blasting everywhere that they would match. He also said ” and if you have a $20 coupon, we will not honor that. He said I had to prove that Target still had stock to honor it, and he only had silver, I wanted white. I will now make it a point to never shop Staples again, their loss as I order office supplies for a major corporation. The tone and way I was treated was horrific.
