I wish I didn’t already have 2 store credit card (Macy’s and sears) because Kohls has such great deals with theirs!

    • Shelly

I have a Kohls card but when I was there today I also had a gift card. The sales woman informed me that the extra % off would be honored on a Kohls gift card just like the credit card! So basically you can just get a gift card if you’re going to spend the money anyway and save the same % off you would with the credit card. 🙂

      • Tiffany

Did it sound like it would work online?

        • shop4mybabies

what I do if my kohls card is full, which it normally is lol Is I buy a gift card use it except for a dollar or so and put that final dollar on kohls card and it takes 30% off whole thing

        • Shelly

I don’t see why not? If you’re ordering anyway maybe it’s worth a try! 🙂

      • kelsey

Shelly, that is amazing information! I bet I could really take advantage of a gift card promo at a grocery store too. I am so glad you commented this, I can’t wait to try it out, thank you!!

        • Denise

I buy a $100 Kohls gift card at Kroger when they have 4 times the fuel points with a credit card that gives 5% cash back at grocery stores. I then use Kohls gift card online at Kohls and spent $105, pay with Kohls gift card and put $5 on my Kohl’s credit card.
So I end up with 40 cents off a gallon of gas x 20 gallons (can get up to 35 gallons) = $8 free money.
$100 Kohls gift card – 5% cash back credit card = $5 free money.
          Spend $150 at Kohls – 30% = $105 spent out of pocket = $45 free money.
Plus get back $20 Kohls cash, more free money.
          Then goes through ebates usually 6% = $105 + 6% = $6.30 of more free money.
So total on this transaction I would spent $100 and get back $84.30 in free money, $45 in stuff from Kohls and $39.30 Kohls cash, Ebates, money off gas, and money back from credit card.
So if I wanted to spend $100, I could almost double it for free. Now if you also had a $10 off coupon to use with your Kohl’s order to go with the 30% that would be even better.

Maybe – $5 since I spent $5 over to put on my Kohls credit card. So total of $105, but just be sure to pay off the $5 on credit card as soon as it post to your account. You don’t want to void all the money you made paying interest.

          • kelsey

Denise, thank you! This was exactly what I was thinking when I mentioned a grocery store gift card promo! I am a little concerned about my credit though, even if I am not running a balance on the Kohls card ( I try to never run balances on any card), won’t it be bad for my credit to have three store cards open? Hopefully someone has some info on this.

            • Shelly

Kelsey, when I was in the store today I paid for the whole bill with a Kohls gift card and my 20% off from my Kohls ad (the one you get when you have the charge card) worked just fine! I don’t think you have to use the credit card at all?

            • kelsey

Oh thank you Shelly, I will try this soon! I was getting a little concerned because two previous commenters said they only charged a dollar to their Kohls card. You are a wonderful help : )

            • Ashley

I think too many inquiries can hurt your credit (like if you applied for a ton of cards at once), but having a few store cards won’t matter as long as what you’ve charged is a small amount compared to your credit line. I have probably 10 store cards because I take advantage of financing offers when I make a big purchase and then I never use the card again (kohls is the only card that I use occasionally). Anyhow, my credit score is 830, so apparently all those store accounts haven’t hurt me.

            • kelsey

Ashley, very interesting! Thank you for your reply. I have always been under the impression that the more cards you had open, the lower it’d drag your credit.

            • Queenjen87

It raises your debt to income ratio. The whole credit line is counted against your debt because you can charge up to that amount at any time. The only time it becomes a problem is when you have a lot of high limit cards. Most store cards are pretty low, so they won’t hurt you much. You can always close a couple a month or so before a large purchase.

            • Denise

email me at denisehilley77@yahoo.com and I will give you a site that will teach you about credit. It is so helpful. It will teach you how to use credit cards and everything. I spent the last 3 years building my credit after all of the advise I got from the people there. There is so much info that you can learn how, when, to apply, manage, your likely hood of being approved based on everyone stats and experience with apply. Everyone shares there and we have figured out how it all works. I pay all of my credit cards before a statement cuts. So say today I charge, in 3 days when it posts I pay it and when the statement comes out I have a zero balance. Never charge more than 30% to any card even if you pay in full. Banks do not want you to use your whole limit. I raised my 3 credit scores 200 points in 1 year. If you have anything bad on a credit report, learn how to legally get it removed etc.

            • Denise

Your whole credit line does not count against you. Say if you have 100 or 100K in available credit. the key is to never use more then 30% on any one card and 30% of your over all credit limits. Having credit is good, but it does not matter how much or how little you have as long as you don’t use more than 30% I keep mine at 15% and never go over. I never apply for more than 2 cards in a 6-12 month period. Too many inquires will bring your score down. If you use your cards and pay in full, like it was cash, you will build very good credit. You need to use your cards to keep them active and the limits growing. I only ever let 1 card report a balance to the credit reports all the rest report zero, but I use almost all of my 40 credit cards ( not all every month but I use them actively), even if just for a pack of gum. I know all of my statement cut dates and charge right after so I can pay before the next one. Whatever balance you have on the date your bill is due minus the payment made on the due date gets reported, even though your statement will cut usually 5-8 days after your due date. Once you have it down you will be fine. Contact me and I will give you the site. I have helped people get their scores 70+ points higher just by teaching them how to use credit wisely. Now some of my friends can buy houses. They could afford it but their scores were not high enough or they had late payments. I thought them how to get those lates removed and old collections removed just with good will letters to creditors. Once you learn it like you have learned coupons, wow the money you can save.

            • Denise

Please Queenjen87 contact me too so I can point you in the right direction. You have the right idea but your advice is completely wrong.
I don’t mean anything bad, I just want to help. I wish they had classes to teach this. I could have used one when I was younger. I have taught myself and found some great sites with supportive people like this site has to help.

    • Misty

What do you want to trade for? I have 10$ off VS code..

    • Angie B.

I have Kohls cash that starts June 30. I can trade.

  3. Ann

Thanks for posting this deal! I need new bakeware!

  4. Theresa

I was told by a worker at my local kohls that the kohls cash doesn’t really expire….as long as you don’t try to use it a year from now…

    • Ashley L

Actually it never expires, even if you use it a year from now. My sister use to work at kohl’s so I know all the dirty lil secrets. They don’t like it advertised either, but if you forget your % off coupon and tell them, they are obligated to give you at least 15% too.

  5. Theresa

Not sure if you all know this, but your kohl’s cash doesn’t really expire…you can use it after the date…stack with new ones…

    • Marie

Actually, starting August 1st all Kohl’s will no longer accept expired kohl’s cash. It’s going to be a company wide policy. If you have expired kohl’s cash you are holding on to, use it before August 1st or you will NOT be able to redeem it.

      • ashley

I was just about to say the same thing. Use that kohls cash now or lose it

    • JANE

I have $40.00 in kohl’s cash from a store purchase expired the of May. You”re saying it’s still good? Could I use it with an online purchase? If so, I am so buying a Ninja blender.

      • Denise

I called Kohls when I had expired cash from Feb and this was last month. The person I talked to gave me a code, noted the computer, and said I had to call in my order or take to store to use. But I was allowed to use it and it was for $150 Kohls cash.

    • JANE

I tried it online and it wouldn’t work.

    • JANE

I called customer service and talked to someone who forced thru the kohl’s cash, the promo codes for 30%, and free shipping. Needless to say, my ninja is on it’s way. Thanks for the info, I am a happy camper.

  6. jonandrew

I checked the price of these exact set online and both Home Depot and Best Buy online have it for $136, Best Buy has it on sale for $40 right now. I myself thought the original price was pretty high.

  7. Kathryn K

will the 4x fuel rewards come again for Kroger this summer?

  8. sarah

I snagged this the other day along with the anchor glassware sets and there is a griddle on the closeout section of house ware that is also an amazing deal. I think the griddle was originally $60, on closeout for $19.99 and then the 30% off that. Perfect wedding presents.

  9. Pamela

Collin, I just wanted to thank you for making me such a good shopper. I have been looking for a good in the sink dish drainer and fell in love with the Food Network one at Kohl’s last Friday. I flipped it over and was aghast at the price of $49.99!!!! I took it to the price checker and it was on sale for $37.49 which was still way too much. In desperation I took out my phone and checked my e-mail. I found 3 offers I could use!
    $49.99
    -12.50
    $37.49
    -10.00(remodel email)
    -5.00(Kohl’s reward email)
    -3.38(15%off email)
    Grand total $20.45!!!!!

And that is about what this piece of plastic is really worth but I do love it’s design.

  10. Melissa

If kohls cash is expired from an online or kiosk purchase it expires. If its from a regular store purchase it doesn’t

    • Marie

Actually, on August 1st ALL EXPIRED kohl’s cash can no longer be redeemed in stores. It is a company wide policy change. If you have any expired kohl’s cash, use it in store now or you will lose it.

  11. JANE

i have $40.00 kohl’s cash that expired the end of May. R u saying I can still use it? If so, could I use it on line also?

  12. Bethany

The piece set is now sold out. 🙁

  13. jenniefromtheblock

I used to be an Assistant Store Manager for Kohls, yes, you can utilize your Kohl”s cash if it’s expired up until this new August 1 cut off date. If you have Kohl’s cash from 2010… bring it to a store or call Customer Service, they want to make YOU happy.
As for Kohl’s Charge Events, when you get the 15,20,30% in the mail, if you get anything other than a 30% ask.your cashier if you can have another scratch off. They will offer you ONE more. (It isn’t try your luck..lol) The event was created so you use your Kohl’s Charge. I read that some where putting $5 on their charge and the rest on a Kohl’s Gift Card. Actually, we had to have a consult with our associates (in our district at least…) that the majority of the sale had to go on the charge first. We would make an exception if the customer was over her limit and had to use a GC. But usually a cashier would call us for that ok. (Just from talking to others from Kohl’s I know their executive teams did many things different than ours) Honestly, I just wanted everyone who reads this, to know it’s not the same everywhere. Also what may have been okay on your last trip, May not be ok for this one.
So get on out there, spend your Kohl’s Cash!!!
    Happy Saving! xox
