Corn on the Cob: How to Shuck & Cook in Under 5 Minutes

How to Cook Fresh Corn in 5 Minutes Hip2Save

Love fresh corn but hate the prep work? Make preparing and cooking fresh summer corn on the cob a breeze with this easy and super fast trick of cooking/shucking that takes just a few minutes.

Directions for 2 cooked ears of corn:

Cut ends off of corn making sure to cut inside where the husk would be attached. Then place inside the microwave on top of a damp paper towel. Microwave for 3-4 minutes (cooking times will vary).

Estimate on microwave times:

1 ear – 2 minutes
2 ears – 3 to 4 minutes
3 ears – 5 to 6 minutes
4 ears – 7 to 8 minutes

What is the HIP List?

How Does the HIP List Work?

It's easy! To use this feature, you first must head on over here and register and log into your account. Whenever you find a great deal that you want to come back later to, just click on the HIP List icon located on each post (see images below) and the information will be saved in your account.


When logged into your account, you will then see your HIP List on every page.


If you're wanting to print a certain deal, article, or the Weekly Store Matchups from your HIP list, click on the small blue printer icon in the upper right corner of the HIP list. That will allow you to customize the information that you want or don't want to include in your HIP list so you're only printing the information that's most important to you!


If there are deals that you are not interested in keeping on your list, just click on the minus button to remove it.


Now, just print your customized HIP list whenever you're ready to go shopping and snag some "Hip" deals!
