I did this deal last year but never got my gift card despite promises from groupon. They finally refunded my money.

I guess a lot of people buy the Shell Gift Card from Groupon, but I am trying to understand why, because it doesn’t seem very cost-effective. I looked at Shell’s prices and they are much more expensive than like Wawa or Racetrac. Is there an advantage from buying this gift card?
Cassandra, Shell is usually the highest in our area too but our Bilo Fuel Perks are only good there. So this would be a great way for us to get some additional savings. 🙂
We have a lot of price gouging in our area, so Shell is the same (or slightly less) than most of our gas stations. Plus, it’s the most convenient one on my way home from work. I keep hoping I’ll be able to purchase this…maybe next time 🙂

Invite only…which they do not tell you until AFTER you’ve entered your credit card info. *sigh* No bueno.
It says right at the top of the main page for the deal that it’s invite only. If you didn’t get the email invite, you cannot purchase the offer. Even Collin mentions this in her post.
No invite for me. I would’ve loved to get this deal, especially when I travel.
Shell is priced higher.. But it lasts longer if noticed I need to gas less often when I use shell.. I’ve gotten she’ll gas for as low as 1.43 a gallon using their shell saver car and their fuel rewards program.. Get gas discounts just buy prying with my debit card at selected stores, online and in store
