I’ve found that these are really kind of useless if you put your child in a public school setting as the teacher(s) sets out lesson plans at their own paces for the class as a whole. So if your child gets way ahead, he/she will likely get bored during lesson(s).
That’s what I am afraid of.
Has anyone ever used these? I am thinking about ordering them for my daughter but wanted to see if anyone had any experience first.
We thought they were great. I highly recommend them and that’s a good deal.
I used these with my then 18 month old. I only had the colors, shapes and alphabet dvd’s but yes they worked. Within days he knew all the shapes, colors, letters AND their sounds. He is now 4 and still enjoys occasionally watching the videos. I have been looking for more series.
They are excellent! And as a teacher I can tell you it’s worth your child knowing this by age 3-4. The new pacing, even in K, is pretty much being able to read a book by Oct or your child is behind! I tell parents if your child is walking into K not knowing their letters or sounds already, they are behind. Curriculum has gone from reading 1-2 books at the end of the year to being on book 5 or higher.
My son used these (colors, letters) when he was 1. He knew his alphebet by the time he turned 2 as well as colors. I can’t speak to the more advanced disks.
I just ordered this deal even though we already have Meet the Colors, letters, shapes, and numbers. I can’t say enough for these DVDs. Highly recommend for anyone with kids under age 4.
I use this entire set and my son LOVES it. He is 4 and is really eager to learn to read now. He loves the videos and he learned all the sight words by age 2. It makes it so simple for them to pick up on.
Check out your local library too they might have it or something similar
I have used these with my 4 year old daughter and I recently ordered the set on Groupon again for my 1 year old son since most of my dvd’s were lost during moving. I highly recommend this set!
These are wonderful. I used these with my son and he knew his letters, color, shapes and numbers to 10 before he was 2. He is now 3 1/2 and is reading and spelling a lot of words. I highly recommend these!

As an adult I find these movies incredibly boring, but my five year old son adores them and has learned all the sight words just by watching the movies. This is an excellent price!
Got one! Ty! This is a great learning tool and my 3 yr old is trying to learn his letters and colors as well as my 6 yr old learning blends and digraphs. I’m so excited as a parent and as a former early education teacher for my kids to have these as learning tools! I am a firm believer that kids start learning at home as well as in school! It really helps for your child to be well prepared these days as the education system starts learning earlier and earlier. Your early educated child will take pride in having an early start in the classroom!
