(Thanks, Michelle and Freebies for a Cause!)
We got this scale last time it was posted, and we love it!! Its very slim and sleek looking. We haven’t tried connecting it to our smartphones yet. It seemed like kind of a pain to download the app, then you have to scan the code and login every time. But for $20 its still a good deal.
I bought and returned this. The app/ scan/ tracking is very manual – it would be easier to write down your weight. You can get a more accurate body fat scale without tracking for the same price.
The GURUSTEN promo code doesn’t work…? Anyone else having this problem?
nevermind. I was trying to order the silver one…the code only works for the black one π ordered! TY Colin! Hoping it’s better than my current scale.
You’re welcome! π
Code worked perfectly for me….I cut & pasted with NO problems. I am SUPER excited to have ordered this for my (soon to be) 18 year old son’s birthday. Every day he comes into our bathroom to weigh himself. Now he’s gonna have his own, and it connects with his “smart” phone. Does it get any better (or cheaper- woo hoo!!) than that? Collin- “you rock it!”
Sounds like a great gift idea for him! π
Thanks so much! I just ordered the black and the promo code worked for me. Super excited to try this out. π
re: This scale analyzes body fat, lean mass, water weight, and bone mass
So does this mean that I can’t lean on it in such a way to make my weight lower?
Ha!!!!! I’m going to try that π
Did anyone do this deal in May? I contacted the company (The customer service rep was very rude!) and they told me this model doesn’t do the BMI, Water Weight, and Bone Density. I’m just wondering if anyone that actually ordered it could tell me whether it does or not before I order it today.
I had the same experience. This scale doesn’t do any of those things. They said they were contacting Hip2Save to get it corrected.
Reading the reviews on amazon. The scale seems to have some issues.
Here’s the body comp version for $39.99

The one on sale does not measure body fat etc. Not sure why they thought that? Though the basic is still worth the purchase for the value.
I bought the silver one through another deal last year. I step on my scale, then the Weight Gurus scale. It always says I weight 6 pounds more. It also said at 5’2″, 134.4lbs (remember 6 lbs more than the other scale) that I have 41% body fat which puts me in the obese category. I don’t think I’m obese. I can’t actually see the icons next to the other numbers so I don’t remember what it said about bone density and whatever else it tracks. I did not try linking it to the app. The app didn’t have that great of a rating. I don’t like this scale.
I purchased this scale the last time they did this deal and I love it. It is easy to use and I have not had any issues. I weigh myself on the other scale since I seen reviews about it being off and as long as you do your settings to the right sex, height it should be correct. It is a little technical so maybe that is why people are having issues, not sure
For $20 it’s still a good deal on a standalone scale, but if you plan on using it with the smartphone app, go to your app store and read the reviews first. Lots of negative reviews for android devices, I don’t think I will be buying it as it looks like more of a hassle than anything.
This is not the scale that measures body fat, etc. I have already placed my order, and I think I’m going to go ahead and keep the order since I really need a new scale. This is a pretty good price for a regular scale.
wish my scale would read 126.2 when I step on it!!
