Target Summer 90% off in NY! I wasn’t sure to print sunscreen coupons but they were as well, but I at least used cartwheel! Saved $80.05, spent $9.55 or so!

I just wanted to share that I was able to hit a jackpot today at my Target. Everything was marked down to 90% off and there was a lot of things! Maybe there was a lot of things because I live in South Florida, but anyway some of the things I got: a youth pop up tent for $2.49, beach chair $1.30, beach umbrella $1.80, badminton & volleyball game $2, beach towels $0.99, steel beverage dispenser $1.99, kiddie pool $1.29, and more!

My Target went 90% off on summer items today! I got a kiddie pool for $1.29, horseshoes and bocce ball for $1.99 each, pool inflatables $0.39, kids hooded towels $1.49, outdoor string lights $1, tablecloth $0.99, and some outdoor toys for $0.49!

So I went to Target this am before work and decided to check out this sunscreen deal along with toy clearances I happened to scan the up & up 3 packs and they came up as $1.39 and were buy 3 get 1 free So I was able to score 12 cans of sunscreen for $4.17! How awesome and that was without any other coupons!!! This was in Maryland.

Targets summer clearance went 90% at my store today. [/h2s_box]

I was at our Target on Saturday (Rochester, NY) and there were no signs about things being on clearance, but I scanned anyways and it was all 70% off! There was a ton left because there were no signs and I totally scored!

  2. Debby

San Luis Obispo, CA (CENTRAL COAST) was at 90%..i ended up with 2 packs of three packs of sunscreen (50 spf and the 30 sports) all for $1.39. Also got the L’Oreal double pack of bronzer tan-less lotion for $1.29…summer plates (heavy plastic) for 19 cents each…my college age daughter loves theses… ๐Ÿ™‚
Mostly every thing was gone in ours…our beach towels were still at $6.00 and none of the chairs were on sale…
I have my daughter going to the 4 targets in the San Fernando Valley in LA looking for bargains.. there about 4 targets within a 4 mile radius…

Has anyone been to a Target in Cleveland OH area? Thanks!

  4. Christy

Anyone in San Diego? I might head out later to check it out.

I also learned a while ago that if a Target is within a close range of a Walmart, that Target store’s price will be lower than other Targets within the same city. Maybe I’m late learning that but I found it good to know.

    • bernadett20

I went to santee. Still 70 and nothing left

    • Mona

Christy, did you find anything? I may try Encinitas tomorrow or perhaps Mira Mesa and Poway.

I too have been having issues with Target. I had always loved the store until I started couponing last summer. As I was driving home last night, i was thinking to myself “that’s it, I’m no longer a happy Target shopper and I’m not going to shop there anymore. Although the deals are great, the aggravation outweighs the savings.” Then I realized, having a corporate retail background, that Target should know how these great “deals” that have become aggravating actually turned me away. So this morning I called them and very calmly vented about the issues I’ve been facing. The customer service person listened and agreed the various scenarios should never have happened. I suggested that proper training and performance evaluation should be priority. Although she was not able to do much more than listen and record my information to send to management, she did send me a $5 Gift Card for my trouble. I thanked her and mentioned that I would give Target another chance while spending my new Gift Card, but if I still continued to issues at check out, I WILL NO LONGER BE A TARGET SHOPPER. Ladies and Gentlemen, my suggestion is to let any store know about continual issues. They want to know, or at least should want to know the issues so that they can keep happy customers. Hope you all will do the same so that we can remain or become happy shoppers with coupons.

I have been unhappy with target lately as well so I googled who the CEO is and sent him an email about all my frustrations as a shopper. He forwarded on my info to a regional director of sorts who was extremely courteous in listening to me and answering all of my questions and then she mailed me a $40 gift card. It’s worth it to contact them if you are frustrated as I think target corporate truly does care about keeping their customers.

      • lorigibe

wow, $40 definitely beats my measly $5 gift card. Can you forward to me the CEO’s information, please? my email is lorigibe@gmail.com TIA!!!

    • Happymama

I’m glad you contacted them – and was kind and calm. I did something similar with my closed Meijer some time ago. I found myself traveling 25 (when I have one around the corner) miles to shop at another meijer when it got so bad. I let them know what I saw and experienced at the meijer close by and they offed me a $10 gc. Soon after, that store hired more associates for check out, they became easier to coupon at, and all the workers were happy and helpful. The store did a total 180! Our voice does matter! Now I shop there all the time. If they want your business, they will listen ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s crazy I just left a comment in regards to the same issue I left my target yesterday feeling like I was on a hidden camera show and thinking if I ever acted like this to my customers it would be here’s the door thank u for the insight I think I will be making that phone call

    • Kaylene

I contacted their customer service department through e-mail for the very same reason and got nothing but a “sorry” – i was very disappointed. Especially because I have to drive about 45 min to even get to the closest target and so its even MORE frustrating when deals go wrong and they treat me like I’m a criminal.

There was one time when the items rang up the wrong price And didn’t show the gift card promo they were marked – I had to send my husband back to the isle to take a picture of the tag on the item to prove they were that price! It was ridiculous!

And the whole broom deal going around awhile back was a joke! As soon as we saw it, I got my in laws and we drove up there only to find disappointment. After searching the store for the brooms and having to ask for someone to help, we found out they were stuck in the back. The lady got them for us but then the manager at the front said we could only match the online price, OR use a coupon but not both! We then left and looked up their corporate policy and it says you can use BOTH as long as the coupon is mfg! We went back to try to fight it and by then the price had raised and the manager was gone and no one would help us because they didn’t want to go against the manager. It was SO crazy! And for their corporate to not care made me even more mad!

Its sad because they really do have Amazing deals! But sometimes its just not worth the headache!

    • Lyleyoh

You should print out the target coupon policy and show it to the cashier. That should fix any problems.

  6. Leslie

I went to the target off of Abrams and Royal in Dallas, nothing was left at 70% off.

Not everything has been clearanced out yet. We’re still UVA 10+ during the days for another month.

    • KayO

So do you think we will go to 90% in Dallas in a few weeks or so?

  7. Renee

The store on Feedwire in Bellbrook OH was at 90% but not much left. However, the next closest store at Dayton Mall was still at 70%.

  8. Mel

Still 70% in Altoona PA and only a few kiddie pools, plastic pitchers and placemats left. Nothing that I would go back for at 90%

  9. Karen

Came back from target here in AZ, and everything was wiped out signs were 50% but some stuff I scanned and was 70%but nothing worth it. So sad that my store is always out of stock when good deals it didn’t use to be like this.

  15. Suzanne

Went to the Chesterfield Valley store on STL today. Had lots of the $1.39 sunscreen left! Paid .36 for 3 bottles (b/t coupon and cartwheel). Did not see 90% signs so there is a decent amount of things left!

  16. Marie

Lennox Target in Columbus was almost bare. Any Columbus Targets with stuff left???

  17. MG

    • Maria

Does anyone know if the Target stores in California are putting the summer items on clearance. I went to 3 different stores in San Bernardino county and nothing is scanning on sale. Everything is regular price.

      • LADYWOMAN

i went to 4 targets yesterday (LOL) not that far away from eachother either, the first store i went to was 90% and nothing left! but away from the clearance section i was able to score the summer fruit snacks, 18 pack for only 29 cents! i bought 7 of them and it came out to $2 dollars! I also came up on a beach shovel tool set, regularly $10 it was on cell for $1. All came out to $3 instead of $30 original price. The 2nd target i went to..employee was putting up 90% off items but all that was left was straw umbrellas for 19 cents, plastic plate mats 25 cents, kids plastic plates were also 25 cents so i did get these. 3rd target was at 50% off but i found these huge metal tins (i can use as a cooler) for $5 bux originally $14.99!, i also got some pool surfboard floats for only $1.49 instead of $5. the 4th target was totally wiped out but i did find the steel tin for drinks, originally 19.99 this was on sale for $1.99…unfortunately i realized the sprout was broken ๐Ÿ™ This is based in LA, california. out of the the 4 places i went to i only found the 3 pack of suncreen & it was scanning up at 5 bux a pack, the 2 pacs were still coming up at 4 bux, im waiting for these to show up on clearance!!!! I did not see any beach towels on clearance like the ones on the pictures above, it most be a matter of time before they hit the clearance section, i will have to go back in a few days and check again for these.

Oh, I wish I get these kinds of discounts in southern Cali.

  22. Sarah

Does anyone know if any stores in the twin cities area still have much for summer clearance? My store in La Crosse, WI was at 70% when I checked last week but hardly anything was left. I was hoping to find a replacement canopy for my gazebo that was ripped in a storm. We are headed up to the cities and for a few days so I wondered if any stores that way had more selection.

  23. Amanda

I also got the sunscreen for $1.39 on the b3g1 free sale in Minnesota. The best part is they don’t expire for 3 years!

  24. Bridgette

There are a ton in Horseheads, NY. I just scored a cart full of stuff for $24. Pools were $1.50. Sunscreen that expires in 2015 or 2017 were $1.39 a three pack. Fruit snacks were on sale. So much awesome deals. Thank you for posting about the clearance. I ran up on lunch and good thing because a fellow couponer was there too and we were helping each other score some deals! I saved over $224.00 dollars!!!!!

  25. niki

I grabbed one thing of gummys, two 3pk of sunscreen, a grill, three pairs of goggles some flippers a noodle two packages of the plastic cups with 4 in each pack three things of sauve(double packs, so 6 total) 7 snack containers, two kiddie pools, a floating cooler for our pool ,a case of water , three folders, a beverage dispenser ,a hoodie beach towel along with some beach toys and some hugo cologne for my hunny!! the cologne alone would have cost 36 dollars if reg, price so im pretty happy! im in MASS and everything was scattered but found many things just by walking throughout the store!! 29. Tara

I was in Annapolis, MD earlier today and they only had a real small section left..pretty much only frisbies and plastic baby pools. I did grab the pool for 99cents. They had maybe 5 pool things like arm floats and maybe an inner tube.
Then I checked my store in Brick,NJ and everything is still regular price. I checked the Ocean store last Thursday after I read how other stores were going to 70 and they were regular price as well.
