I’ve had the princess cloth bin thing for my daughter before – I really wouldn’t recommend it. Doesn’t stay out like in the photos. Ends up looking messy.

I agree with Heather in the above post. I purchased the cars organizer and ended up throwing it out. The cloth bins ripped and i agree ours ended up looking messy too.

Instead of finding storage, try putting the toys completely away….you will be shocked. After reading a lot on toys and kids, I decided to give it a try and put away 90% of my daughter’s toys. She is 3 years old and was stepping on stuff, total lack of appreciation and total toy ADD with tons of pieces everywhere. I took pictures and put them in an old photo album as a “toy catalog”. She never misses any of her toys, hardly ever asks for any toys from the catalog. PLays more with what she has and became really creative with other stuff. I’m so amazed. All my friends followed suite and found happier kids through it and a clutter free home. Just a suggestion 🙂

That’s a really great idea. With two little boys, I totally agree with toys everywhere and half the toys are never played with. I’ll have to try this method out thanks for sharing!

I did the same thing, my nephew has so many toys and we put them away, all he plays with is a bin of legos, and his outside toys. I’ll randomly take some out but I put them away right after

Totally agree, especially with the appreciation of toys. I rotate toys and books and put them away where he can’t find them. I only put some stuff out and my 4 yr old plays with everything, even stuff from when he was 1 yr old. It’s my husband who I have to convince not to buy every toy for every occasion, lol. We started a trust for my son and are buying mutual funds, stocks and bonds instead of buying toys. By the time he’s a teenager, he’ll have more than a few pennies.

The desk is great, we got the organizer and desk when my son turned 1 and he just turned 4 and he still uses the desk. The bins of the organizer are made with cardboard so it’s lost its shape after a year under a toddler’s hands.

I pack a lot of our toys in boxes and put them in the attic to rotate out. I also keep most of my kids toys in their closet so that they are not always looking at them. This keeps it fresh. However, there are a few piles I need to tackle in my house right now! Where does this stuff come from?!

I actually like the toy strorage. I have not had a problem with it looking messy, but I keep my sons room fairly organized, certain toys go in certain boxes.

Hi I too followed my friends suggestion of puttin. 80-90% of all toys away in the 3 drawer storage things from target or walmart and put them in a closet and then rotate from time to time I have a 1 1/2 year old and. 4 1/2 year old I also bought the ikea bin storage withy the red green bins underneath for toys and the flat skid proof may cushion to sit and read it looks so organized and easy to clean up

We own the chair in the Dora design. My granddaughter loves it. We’ve had it about two years. The top has come loose but still is very functional as long as I don’t drag it by the top which is probably why it came loose. Well worth the price. Think I paid $40 on amazon.

Ditto on the chair. My 2 year old got an Elmo chair for her bday and I know that it cost more than this!! This is a DEAL…we got it for a gift, but it was from my MIL and she is most certainly not a deal shopper. Came in a box…needed to be put together, but it is very appropriate for her and is next to her 5 yr. old sisters’ art table.

My daughter got the fairy desk as a gift before she was one and uses it a ton! She is now 2 and a half and I can say I highly recommend it! Wonderful for drawing and coloring on and it’s also great for snack time as she knows to sit at her desk and not wander all over the house with her food. Definitely consolidates the mess:)
