uber confused! In one spot it says for use the “next day only” (the pic) and in the other it says next week…..I wonder which it really is!?
The ones last week were good for one day only…I would use them tomorrow to be safe 🙂
The ones last week specifically said they were only good for one day. These say one week. They vary the promotion every week. I have never had a problem redeeming mine based on the days it said when I got them.
Read the terms it tells you:

I have a question and was wondering if you knew the answer to it….up until recently, I’ve gotten my points, and was able to use them the following Sunday – Saturday. The past two weeks, I went to use them, and they weren’t there. I was really mad last week, when it was $6. On the banner, it says “to use the next day only” but when you’ve been awarded the points and it tells you “congratulations…” and tells you the reward amount, it says, “to use 7/20 – 7/26” Which one is right? Do I only have tomorrow to use them, or do I have to wait until Sunday to use them?
I know, I lost my $6 too since I didn’t get in the next day…not sure which is right this time.
I use mine online, that gives me a few days to get to Kmart to pick up the item.

Last time my points got expired the next day. They were added to my account & then deducted even before the date(these points will be valid to use 7/20/14-7/26/14).
Today I read the fine line on add. to use the very next day only. So add those points in your account only if you are planning to go there today or tomorrow.
I called syw and then had me let the points expire and added them back onto my acct. SYW costumer service is great! Maybe it was just a glitch last time?

I also had $20 surprise points on a $40 purchase in my shop your way account. Saw the points in my account 2 hours before I went to kmart, when I got there my points were gone. Came back home to check my account again and didn’t see my points. This was 8:00 at night……so apparently my points expired at a certain time in the evening…

Quyestion – I know Collin’s post says that you can do this on Kmart.com AND sears.com. Everytime I’ve used my points on kmart.com, they disappear from sears.com. Seems they are tied to the one e-mail address. Anyone else experiencing this or am I doing something wrong ?
You can get points from both places, and then the total ($3) can be used either place, or both places, but if you use them both places you still only get a total of $3.

The “points” redemption is tricky/unclear.
You have NO IDEA which store you can use them at, nor which Department you can use them in and apparently there’s no way of telling…you just have to guess?? Or wait until you get to the register and hope your items “qualify”.
You can redeem them at Kmart or Sears stores. Valid in any department (only a few exclusions, like not valid on gift cards and stuff like that). I’ve never had a time where my points couldn’t be used on something I was buying from Kmart or Sears.
I went to KMart last week to use my points, and cashier said I had none to use. I had my profile pulled up on my phone which showed my points, and she showed me on HER register screen my points which were there but
she said SHW rewards are “tricky” and they had to be for specific departments depending on what I bought previously. She said the particular points I had had to be used in the Home dept at Sears?????
So you can use your points on food, candy, whatever you want that KMart sells???
There are two types of points. These free point giveaways are valid in any department, so yes.. you can buy food, candy, or whatever you want! Last week I used my $6 on a $5.99 plastic storage bin I needed. Another time I picked up some snacks like sunflower seeds and Oreo cookies. At checkout just tell the cashier you would like to use your points and give your phone number associated with your account.
The second type are called Surprise Points. You might get these in your account or you might not, that’s why they are a surprise. 🙂
You can check in your account on the SYWR website to see if you have surprise points.
Sometimes you have to spend a certain amount in a certain department. For example, you might receive “Spend $10 in Kmart Apparel, get $5 in surprise points”. In these cases it will just deduct $5 off your total, so you would only spend $5 out of pocket. Other times you might get $10 off $10 at Sears. If it doesn’t say a department, then you can use it where ever in the store.
Also, keep in mind of short expiration dates. Last week when I had the $6 I had to spend them the very next day.
The points will be work on everything, Kmart/Sears. Sometimes maybe you have “surprise points” and you need read for which store. Go to SYWR website and then find ‘surprise Points’ and it will be show a table with points and rules.
If you buy at the store you need say to the cashier that you want use your points.
I did tell the cashier I wanted to use my points and I gave her my email and she pulled up my profile which showed my points, but she said they weren’t working for my purchase. A supervisor came over and agreed.
Since there is a contradiction in the dates, I’m going to check tomorrow to see if the balance increases by 3000 points. If it does, I assume they are good only tomorrow. If they are good 7/20 – 7/26 the balance will not increase until 7/20. I did have an issue with the 4000 local ad points awarded on 7/1. They were supposed to be good 7/6 – 7/12 but my balance never increased. I called customer service, she agreed that my account showed I had been awarded the points but never received them. She added the 4000 points to my account and made the expiration date a year instead of 7/12.
It says I was awarded the points but nothing is showing up under my points total. I can never figure it out right either.
Check your account tomorrow. If it says you have 3000 points, use them that day only. If they are still not there, wait until 7/20 and check again.
**HOTT** So when I went to log into SYW a banner was there for 10,000 sears points to use on apparel. I was able to use it on Laura Scott Women’s Pajama Top & Cropped Pants – Paisley which is one of the few items with FREE SHIPPING. I get high value surprise points at times. Mostly they have a “on purchases of $50 or more” as a requirement. I’m a new member. Haven’t gotten to a higher savings level yet. Soon….soon.

Sears has summer clothes 70% off right now. Got $90 worth of clothes for $19. Last week got 2 outfits for my daughters for $1! And got a tank and super cute hello kitty sweater for $0.91! I love SYW! And love getting free/super cheap bargains! 😊😊

Ugh. I’m so frustrated they post these so early EST. It is neat impossible for those of us in the West Coast to get them.
I live in California and I get the points every week. Usually I don’t get them until a day or two into the promotion, but I still get them.
